I first found out about this case in an episode in Cold Case Files. What stuck out to me the most was that when the family went out looking for Jessica as they were getting close to the river bottoms the uncle, who was also searching, got sick and he left the search party. Once it was confirmed the uncle murdered Jessica, as the episode is ending, Mr. Mike Dishon says “I’ll be waiting for him when he gets out.” 🥺 R.I.P to Jessica and to Mike Dishon. 🕊

@@tamitribbiani7907 Well it seems like she was trying and gave him vibes that his nasty secret was going to be found out. This man destroyed many lives, starting with hers at a very young age.
Stanley Dishon is guilty of raping, kidnapping, and murdering his niece, 17-year-old Jessica Dishon in 2002. He is also guilty of 4 other rape charges. Stanley Dishon had been raping Jessica Dishon since she was young. By the time she was 17 years old, she had begun a relationship with a boy her own age. Stanley became upset and feared the possibility that Jessica would tell her new boyfriend everything he used to do to her. On the morning of September 10, 1999, Stanley approached Jessica while she was getting in her car to go to high school and began an argument. When Jessica refused to end her relationship, Stanley attempted to kidnap her. Jessica broke free from his grasp, ran into her house and into her bedroom. Stanley fought his way to her, knocked her out, wrapped her up in her own bedsheet, and took her to a barn where she was kept barely alive for 3 days. She was tortured and eventually, Stanley Dishon strangled her. He had gotten away with his murder due to a possible suspect by the name of David "Bucky" Brooks failing a polygraph test. However, the case was later reopened and detectives proved that Brooks' IQ was too low for him to be able to understand the questions he was being asked, which ultimately led to his failing the polygraph test. Brooks was never convicted, however, because polygraph tests are inadmissible in court, so when it was mentioned in court, it was an automatic mistrial. When an informant approached detectives and said that Stanley Dishon told him he had murdered his niece. Detectives took a closer look at the story the informant was telling. It was proved to be true, and Stanley Dishon was convicted. He took a plea deal in the Bullitt Circuit Courtroom which only required him to serve 20 years in the Kentucky State Penitentiary, and he was to be out on parole in 16 years. In 2 more years, he will be a free man. We cannot let a kidnapper, rapist, and murderer out into the community. It will endanger the families of those he has sexually assaulted, and the Dishon family will not get the justice they deserve.

Poor Bucky, his low IQ made him the perfect target. Thank God he wasn't convicted. I had a friends in US who has a TBI, he was like a child after that, he also was paralyzed in one arm, and drug one leg. Never had any prior charges. He committed a felony, on his own property, no one was hurt. They threw him in prison, with hardcore inmates. Sadly he was murdered in there. This young man didn't have a mean bone in his body. He loved people and was trying to get the guy who killed him, to go to church. How long are we going to lock up individuals who are cognitively disabled, with hard core criminals. Its just not right!
Rest in peace Jessica dishon and her father Mike dishon Jessica dishon Murder Stanley dishon First time ever for Long time already Serious about That story
Detective Lynn Hunt in a show Blood Runs Cold on Hulu speaks about this and is the one that cracked this case. She's never shown here. They never show her or name her here. She always talked about Jessica having a "relationship" with her uncle and "sex*ual relations" with him. Detective Lynn Hunt disgusts me!! (Very weird how when she's interviewing the uncle here it just says Detective, it never gives her name) Jessica's uncle rap*ed her! He abus*ed her!! He groomed her!! This was NEVER a consensual relationship!!! I get how a detective tries to cozy up to a monster while interviewing them to get information out of them. But to use the same language outside of that is disgusting. He's an absolute monster and Jessica was a victim. Jessica never had a choice and anything she did was in order to survive!
Why did they let Stanley live to make parole? In jail, and later prison, his child abuse and murder convictions would mean he had, “f*cked up paperwork.”
"99% of the time these are runaways" false! The cops dismiss them as runaways weve seen this 1000 times, murder victims called runaways because they coukdn tbe assed looking. To believe it and perpetuate the lie further is just gross

I thought I had seen my last mullet in 1995. Look what Moutain dew does to your teeth kids.
I went to school with Mike Dishon & some of his siblings
20 years wtf
20 years! Wtf bruh! Rip Jessica and Mike! 😢
Rip Bucky and the other young man falsely accused! 😢😢😢
No dentist in town?
Type a stuff in a small town but no one is safe anywhere just a false sense of security. Evil lurking everywhere just that most folks miss it.he living in hell in jail... he serving many folks to survive
Where's the evidence you can't convict someone on rumors.
Why didn't they think of the uncle in the 1st place? So sad for the family.
Rest in peace Jessica dishon and her father Mike dishon
Jessica dishon
Murder
Stanley dishon
First time ever for
Long time already
Serious about
That story
Was it the father's brother?
Saw this on cold case files. The uncle was just evil
Was it her mom or dads brother?
I think the parents are siblings. But if you want to get technical, it was the dads bother
@@Charmcity199 and I think you are out of line.
It was the dad's brother. And he wasn't her biological father
This is very tragic. He took her whole life she had in front of her. I’m not trying to be mean but where are all these peoples teeth? 😮

Why did they let Stanley live to make parole? In jail, and later prison, his child abuse and murder convictions would mean he had, “f*cked up paperwork.”
Rip jessica.
Whew lawd, an entire town of mentally challenged folk! 😪😵💫
FYI. Odds r, any1 foolish enough to 'do Anything for Anyone' or 'Every1 loved them' will end up Dead.
As an uncle of 7...how...and please flipping stop the "Creepy uncle" shit too.
"99% of the time these are runaways" false! The cops dismiss them as runaways weve seen this 1000 times, murder victims called runaways because they coukdn tbe assed looking. To believe it and perpetuate the lie further is just gross
interesting looking people
20 years ? What a sewer .
20 yrs, what a joke.Jessica only had 17yrs which were tainted by her creepy uncle.
Her voice is unbereable.
why everyone missing teeth? Must be in the water
