WOW what a HUGE blessing for Becky to get away! SOOOO many children’s lives were saved! The lives this man took ruined so many lives!! Glad he was CAUGHT!!
I disagree. She's not a hero. She was extremely lucky. Children aren't capable of surviving predators. And predators know it. Only on very ,very, very rare occasions they escape . If we really want our kids to be safe from predators, we have to supervise them , especially in rural areas. I'm so sorry this pastor and his wife lost their daughter. Jesus words: Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
I'm 66 now and a girl in a class below me went missing while walking into our small town to buy a present for her brother. She was supposed to be on a church camping trip that my friend had invited me to join. I vividly remember hearing that she wouldn't be there because she just vanished. This was back in the 70's, I still think of her and wish we knew what happened. Her name is Wendy Eaton. The State Police went a couple of years ago and searched the property she was walking by. They declared it a homicide investigation, but I have heard nothing since. If it impacted me so much that I still think of it about 50 years later I can't imagine how awful the pain, the not knowing and the longing must be for the families of the missing. I believe both of Wendy Eaton's parents have since died. I pray they now know the answers.
@autodogdact3313 I never heard of this precious child's story but I do now. Will say a prayer for her& all effected. Its my belief she was finally reunited into her loving parents arms.Sending you light&positive energy.
@@marixsadelfi3683 I believe that is most likely the case, but I see her former classmates out there who have families and careers of their own and I just wish we could know what happened. I wish we could tell her full story and honor her here for her family.
Those home videos of Sara showcase how bright and exuberant her energy was. What a huge loss for the family and all who would’ve been warmed by her glow. Rest in peace, Sara.
@@teddyjam8134 Thats not always so straightforward. An abductor usually knows how to get around that resistance; they will incapacitate you before you have a chance to react. One man came up behind the victim outside her car, and forced her into it with a knife stuck to her side. Another man punched a woman in the face. Another man grabbed her and banged her head against the door of her car. The best advice is to be super aware of your environment at all times; look around you when walking to your car, do not be in your own little world. When out walking or running, chose a well populated area, and if you see anyone looking remotely suspicious, or a car driving slowly beside you then speeding up ahead of you, turn around quickly and head in the opposite direction. The trick is to never let them anywhere near you. Women are a lot smaller and weaker than men, its not so easy to fight once they have a hold of you.

He would have needed medical attention for the human bite {Hopefully!} As a child, also in same district, I had a German man follow me- my instincts told me to not go and explore the abandoned barns and stables at an abandoned farm, but to stick to the open and get back to the camp site.
Like Becky i had that sense not to be brought into a scene where no one can see me. When i was 12 late afternoon im walking near the church a group of teen addicts suddenly at my back just a few meters and when they call me i suddenly alert myself and when they are still following me and going near me while they talking and laughing i suddenly sprint to running fast coz i think if they ever hold me thats the end of me and i ran so fast and hide in my aunts house near the area im shaking while hiding 😢 that time there are some young girls that got gang rape and killed in our area so that experience is horrible that im always alert wherever i walk to its scary so i study self defense for my protection coz predators are always around 😢😢 girls trust ur instinct it helps a lot to avoid danger
There are some crimes, those against children specifically, that should trigger an automatic life sentence in solitary confinement. No parole EVER. Life.
I totally agree. No deals, no plea bargaining. Just locked up for the rest of their miserable lives. But at the end of the day, it's the families who get the life sentence
Thought the same. No 20 plus for attempted kidnapping. It would have not been kidnapping if it were not for her. Life with no parole. They come out and repeat.
I agree. Especially because it has been proven in study after study that this proclivity cannot be rehabilitated. There is no cure. So, by releasing predators short of a life sentence, our society dooms other children to a horrific death. This is unacceptable.
You don't have to be a profiler or psychologist to know why this killer doesn*t give the authorities all the info needed to find his victims: power. He has no power over anything in his life now. That knowledge is all he has to make him feel powerful.
In prison he repeatedly called law enforcement agencies saying he would reveal info about location of bodies… and when they got there he would just complain about how he was treated in prison.

I was a protective mother, I never let my kids walk to school or anywhere alone. People said I was paranoid, but I felt the need to protect my kids. I feel so sorry for the family. I wish all kids are safe all the time.
I was called the same. It is OK to be paranoid about protecting your kids, because nobody can turn back the time when you don't do that and something happens. We are living in a world with too many evils.
What has the world come to - when children can not go out riding their bicycles safely!! As a child - I rode my bike/played in the street with other kids and could stay outdoors most of the day without fear! It is so sad that today's kids are unable to do this - they are being robbed of the joys of childhood!!
I was also super protective with my kids at all times. They are all still with me now, living & working close by with their partners, and l'm so happy & grateful to have them around me. They are & always were the most important things in my life, along with my dear husband. To lose a child must be unimaginably painful. RIP Sara and all other murdered or missing children.
I was the exact same way with my children. 4 girls 1 boy. They couldn’t go roaming anywhere without friends. And they had to check in with me before going or doing anything/anywhere else. We lived maybe 1/4 mile from a supermarket and my youngest daughter was not allowed to walk out on the road across the street and go to the supermarket with at least three other friends. ( more strength in numbers ). My daughter didn’t mind because she knew I was petrified of losing her.
That's a very brave and confident child. A more timid child may have been so frightened that they complied. Parents definitely need to teach children what to do in these circumstances.
This is what I have drilled into my kids since they were little. You better fight, kick, scratch whatever you need to do to run but your chances of living go down dramatically if you get into the vehicle! 😩
Satan is getting a stronger grip on society. This isn’t the world I grew up in. Sure, there was evil, however, NOT at the level we see today. And it’s not just because of the advancement of communication. There’s actually MORE evil. 😡😡😡😢😢😢
I’ll never forget her. When I was little and would ride my bike with my friend, we saw her missing signs all over town. 30+ years later and I still think of her periodically
My mom was murdered when I was little. I'm grateful that justice was served and I can visit her in a beautiful national cemetery. I cannot fathom the heartache of not knowing where a loved one is...
So sorry that happened to your mother….this world is evil but soon the curse ends -praise God it will all be over soon 🔜 as we are approaching the end of this age and Jesus gets the title deed back from satn. This will world is so evil -it’s heartbreaking!!
This brings back 1993 for me like it was yesterday. Sara and my son were friends and classmates. We looked for her and passed out flyers, talked with investigators and life was never the same afterwards. The school was locked down and how you raised your children changed with child abduction in the forefront of your mind. Rest in peace sweet girl ❤️………….
I’m from Corning, NY and her missing posters were everywhere! I was 7 years old and remember her face and her posters everywhere like it was yesterday 🥺😔. I remember getting scared because local kids said horrible things happened to her.. obviously they didn’t know (they had to be 9-10 year old boys from the neighborhood). My parents stopped letting me ride my bike by myself when she went missing. I hope one day soon this monster tells her family where she is. They deserve that closure. Heartbreaking 😔. I’m so sorry to your son! I hope he’s found some kind of peace. That had to have been traumatic for a kid to go through
The theater owner sobbing was so sad, he lives with guilt that isn't his to bear, simply for employing someone he had no idea was a monster. I hope he finds peace in his soul one day. Becky is one smart little girl, she is a hero to other kids who didn't become victims because of her!
I’m not sure why, the crying struck me as disingenuous. It seemed a little forced and there were no tears…not saying this means anything other than it felt fake to me 🤷🏻♀️
@@katielady1686I felt the same way. Like he was thinking how he should feel about it and did exaggerated crying. It felt off. There was a bit of wetness at the corner of his eye at the end but he couldn’t look at the interviewer that whole time. Maybe what I’m seeing is shame he feels for missing what was going on, like he said.
Oh my gosh that girl Becky! When she said she wasn’t afraid you can tell she meant it. “I felt it inside me. I just knew I wasn’t gonna get into that truck”. After she said that I realized my mouth was hanging open in amazement. What an impressive little girl! Or should I say young woman? All I know is she’s amazing.
You go on because your other children are going through the most terrible, traumatic and difficult thing right now and their parents are too broken to support them through it. You do it for them.
You can't throw in the towel if you have other kids. Others in your life need you, too. You find ways to go on--your faith, support groups, therapy/counseling--whatever you can find that works for you.
...and the guy is blind... so... or he wanted to initially but something changed his first decision. The cellar, though, looks too "concrete-ish" to me. Almost like a war bunker. :O
They should administer "the truth drug"!! This is supposed to be against his human rights to not incriminate himself - but what difference would that make as he is never getting out of jail anyway!! Sara's family's right to know where her body is - and to be able to bury her in a place where they can visit her grave - far outweigh his right to remain silent! How truly evil to deny them that final comfort!!
Heartbreaking. What an incredible brother. As an adult, I now fully understand why my parents never let me out of their sight and I was not allowed to go anywhere on my own. It felt like they were being “overprotective” but I appreciate and recognize the reason. ❤
I am like this as well with my child and am always told "im overreacting"... are you kidding? everytime I watch something like this I know im doing the right thing by being over cautious and not letting em out of my sight! I pray for Sara's family. This is so beyond sad.
@@NikoPappas54right! You even hear the stories now of "best friends" unaliving their friends! Call me overprotective, overreacting, a helicopter parent, or whatever they'd like, but I don't take chances when it comes to my children!!
there’s nothing worse than bringing harm to a child…. That fact typically unites people across the spectrum of classes. Even the criminals in prison don’t tolerate it.
Yet.... Really? Because crimes against children are *incredibly common.* Not extreme cases like Sarah's (though one is too many, & still we hear cases like this in the news frequently). So where are they housing these child predators? Once they get to prison. Because there's got to be several child predators in every prison.

Wait, huh? This argument is flawed. I have kids and this makes no sense. Soooo by spending time my mentees, my nephews and nieces, my students who cme to my after-school writing club, I am not trustworthy? These are all kids who aren't mine and I'm part of their village. I'm sure others would agree with me.
@@shawandabonner9681yeah this argument is very flawed not only does the younger kids in my family love me, I was a nanny and those kids still want to hang out with me when they can and my friends younger kids absolutely love me and always wanted to be where I am when I went to their house before they moved and even on the day they officially left town the “baby” (7years) was upset he couldn’t ride with me to the storage place. Even kids at church love me and want to hang out. Or seeing a random kid and commenting that they’re cute. Does this make me a demon? No. Now on the other hand if I was seeking out kids and just obsess that’s then yeah totally see how that’s not ok. But to just generalize if it’s not your kid you can’t that’s just dumb.
Is solitary confinement still considered cruel and unusual punishment?? They should put him in solitary confinement until he gives them the answers they DESERVE. He shouldn't be allowed to waste investigators' time and resources.
A few weeks ago,I was talking about my deceased brother with my adult son.I got quite emotional about it. A couple of hours later my son sent me a text message and said” mum…your brother is with the best in the best place. He is with God..now isn’t that the best place he could be.? RIP all the little souls. You gained your wings much too early but you are at peace in the best place❤
Child hunters, predators are the most evil among all of humanity 😑 😢 It's so hard to conceive of that kind of wickedness and cruelty to the most vulnerable among us and it's not anything the victim's loved ones EVER recover from 😢😢😢
I am a daughter of Satan himself. It’s odd. My father is a malignant narcissist with severe psychopathy. They don’t get to have human feelings and can’t hide the light in their eyes when they witness something truly terrible. I eventually escaped his reach, but it nearly cost me my life. I had to leave my mother and 3 siblings behind because they were serving as tools to draw me back in to the family activity of destroying one another. Plus, two of my siblings also have severe psychopathy. The other two have to detach on their own terms and I pray for them everyday. Life is hard without a family. Also, I was socialized to the wrong normal and there’s still little things I do that weird people out. However, there’s no feeling in the world quite like knowing I was Satan’s captive and he couldn’t keep me. I have a natural happiness and forgiveness that carried me through and got me out. IDK where it came from. Yea for me!🎉 34:12
The truth of the matter is that most of those missing cases are runaways. When you crunch the numbers (and I know most people don't care about numbers but they're important) around 750 kids in the entire USA go missing due to strangers. For those 750, obviously, that is terrifying and my heart absolutely goes out to them. That number, however, is so small when compared to how many kids are reported missing and are either with family, friends, or have completely run away. The hoofbeats are horses in this case, and horses are runaways. The zebras are the rarity. I know it sucks to say it, but police are not sitting on unlimited resources that can treat every case as an abduction, especially when the numbers don't support that. In a perfect world, they'd have all the money to not only chase down every lead with full force, but deal with all the other garbage they deal with on a daily basis. The world is not perfect.
@@Madamegato My point is regardless of whether they are runaways or taken by someone, they should look for them. Especially when they are under the age of 18. Honestly, even if they are over the age of 18, they should be checked up on. If they end up leaving of their own free will and aren’t going through some mental health episode, Fine but I would think anyone would want to at least check to make sure they are okay. How many times have we heard the first twenty-four hours are crucial in a missing person’s case?
I think the brothers lead is going to get an answer to where his sister is buried. If the investigators would stop visiting him in jail and hears that the brother and family are at peace knowing they will see her again in heaven it's going to get under his skin that he doesn't have control anymore. It might get him wanting to 'hurt' them more by actually revealing where Sara is.
I recently saw a show where a detective visited the killer regularly, became his “friend”, then abruptly stopped visiting, calling, wouldn’t answer his calls. Drove the killer nuts…he contacted someone and said tell him I will tell him where the body is if he comes back. And he did. Pretty amazing.
I was born and raised in a small city just outside Albany, NY. This story - along with Jimmy Bernardo - was all over the local news in 1993/1994. I was a college student - still in the area - when this all happened. I remember being a bit hopeful that the family would at least get Sara's remains back upon that search in January 1994, but Lewis Lent was shown to be causing even more pain and lying again. I feel so badly for the Wood family. Bad enough to lose their daughter/sister to such a monster in so horrible a way, but for that same monster to be able to toy with them over Sara's final resting place is beyond cruel. Still, I hope against hope that she will someday be found and given a proper burial.
Thank you for visiting these old cases, paying tribute to the victim, and not the perpretator. May her soul be resting in peace. The best protection is to be in numbers at all times.
I was 8 months pregnant, we had every intention of naming our baby (if a girl, this was before the blood test that determined the sex of the baby) Sara Anne Wood, our last name as well. This was in 1997 before the internet was what it is today. We were on I-95 going to Orlando, a car passed us that had a flyer in their window, missing Sara Anne Wood, we were completely shook. We had no way of knowing who she was or what happened to her, this is the first time I have seen her story, how heartbreaking..😭 Two days later our son was born, a yr later my niece was born they named her Sara Anne Wood. ❤ It still gives me chills to remember this.
We had a similar case in England, in August 1978, Genette Tate was delivering newspapers on her bicycle in a small village and was taken. Her friends saw her, then a few minutes later found her bike in the lane but no Genette. To this day, they haven't brought her home. She was the same age as me and I think of her often, especially when I travel back to my home town which was near where she lived. So very sad. If I had a super power, it would be to bring home all those who have been taken.
I understand this emotion, I genuinely do. But ultimately, with modern technology exonerating so many wrongfully convicted these days (after decades in prison and/or on death row, some already executed) and so many cases with corrupt/over-zealous detectives coercing confessions etc... It's just not worth the risk. I'm plenty fine with a thousand Lewis Lent's getting life in prison without parole over the chance of a single innocent person being executed by the State.
@@scgilmore87 This is a slam dunk case, with this man confessing to his crime and being identified in a kidnapping case, as well as knowing facts that only the killer would know.. lt makes no sense to keep someone around who admits to this evil.
Maybe they should offer to put him into the general prison population until he feels like revealing the location of her remains and let nature take its course until then.
This guy uses everyone’s hope of getting answers and some kind of “closure” as a means of entertainment during the rest of his bored life of incarceration. He gets picked up and driven around. How scenic! Get’s fed a different cuisine than his daily prison fare. Let him rot. “Closure” is overrated. In fact, it doesn’t exist. Of course it’s okay to look. But he should not be believed- ever.

“Closure is overrated.” *ABSOLUTELY* It’s the dream of the self-help industry to convince people (particularly women) that this “closure” crapola actually happens. It doesn’t. Agreed. And “closure” isn’t overrated, it just doesn’t exist. It’s just some feel good, made up concept that someone dreamed up. We experience trauma, we keep going, putting one foot in front of the other, but no matter what, no matter how many answers we get to the why’s, where’s, how’s, who’s, there is no such thing as “closure”. It happened. It can’t be undone. We just find a way to keep going on each day.

I remember this like it was yesterday. We were headed home from Booneville NY. Her photo was at the Thruway toll booths. I remember this case well. We were both the same age and she only lived a couple hour drive from me. I remember being outside playing with my friend and police coming. Someone had called because they thought I was Sara. We did both look very similar. After all these years I've thought about her and have mentioned her to various people and almost all of them had never heard of her. Thank you so much for bringing this case back to light. I pray she is at peace and hopefully one day her remains will be located so the family can begin to heal. God bless you all and please never let your guard down 🙏🙏 🙏
I never comment on videos, but this is so surreal. I am actually from the town this took place in and was around Sara's age when it happened. I couldn't really grasp the gravity of it at the time, but I do remember the very palpable fear that gripped the area. I used to walk down to the store that was around a five minute straight walk one-way from my house to pick up little things for my parents all the time. After this happened my mother wouldn't let me go anymore, especially since I shared a likeness to her at the time. I remember coverage of the case being played in our classes too, everyone was just so shocked. It felt like the sleepy town innocence of that area had died.
Sometimes when you see all the evil in this world you lose faith in man..... but when the worst happens the outpouring of help and to see they still honor Sara by the rides, helping educate children about predators..... one can see there are still many good people in this world. These stories break my heart, I am so sorry for the families.
Agree and disagree. He actually fessed up when the bible was in front of him. This doesn't make him any better, but at least he admitted. Maybe he felt some remorse or was confused by his actions, but I don't think it's common to admit. We would know NOTHING of the two murders and he would have been out of prison for his attempted abduction. He's horrible, but he stopped it by admitting.
3 minutes in I am not sure I’ll be able to handle this…. I was that age in the early 90’s. I was a latch key kid. I remember sitting on my porth with my older sister and having some old man drive down to the end of the cul de sac where we lived, stop, roll down the window and take pictures of us with a camera Then drive off. It was just bizarre.

How could anyone not immediately fall for Sara's charm after watching those home videos. What a bright, shining, positive energy she brought into this world. What an awful man to hold her final moments and resting place hostage like that, continuing to inflict pain for decades from behind bars.
I lived near there in 1993. I remember the terror I felt as a mother of a child a few years younger. That area is so country. My ex was a police officer at the time and went up there to help with the search. Very scary time. God bless them all.
It’s one thing to lose a family member like that but then to never be able to give them a proper burial is something I can’t even imagine. RIP sweet girl. I know you will greet your family in Heaven someday and it will be glorious.
That girl in MA, Becky, is so amazingly brave and smart!! "I didn't care if he shot me, I wasn't going to get in his car." Wow, that's something I learned from listening to an FBI agent. The agent said NEVER ever get into the car even if held at gunpoint. You have a better chance of survival running from bullets than if you get into a predator's car. Parents should teach their kids that.
@@mollymelena6104 That's too broad though. If you're a child who's gotten lost, you're probably safer finding an adult to help you than wandering aimlessly to find your parent. If there's an emergency, a child needs to be able to find an adult to help them. Most people who harm children aren't even strangers in the first place, and teaching kids to be wary of strangers isn't keeping them safe from the people who are actually more likely to hurt them. It's also not teaching kids about the real world, because as an adult, you regularly have to interact with strangers. A lot of schools are moving away from stranger danger for exactly these reasons. It's more about teaching children to be able to judge who is probably a safe adult and what to do if they encounter situations that feel unsafe.
😢😢😢😢😢 I was raised not to trust no one not even family members. Children will be always easy prey to predators. I am the same way with my children. They are with me all the time. Even to go to the yard. Well we live in NYC and times have changed for the worse.
So sorry that it is like that where you live. But I am glad I raised my kids the opposite way. But we lived at the last Hawaiian place for that precious first years and those times made me believe in lets say God or creator and the goodness and love in people. Wow. It was paradise and full of Aloha. Started of in Germany with the love of my live. I would not have had kids in Germany. I am back in Germany and feel sorry for most of the kids here. Jutta was the best partner, friend and awesome mom. I could not go thru if something like that would happened to the one I love and care about. Best wishes and lots of love from the old country.
As sad as it is, we need to teach kids about what real danger is. It's traumatising, but it can save their lifes. As I said in another comment, it's better to be safe than sorry, even if people call you paranoid.
This murderer tried to lure me to his car one morning, as I walked to elementary school. He got my classmate, Jimmy Bernardo. Lewis Lent was the boogyman of my childhood.
Oh my goodness! So glad you were spared! I was salmost kidnapped at 7 and 10 in California by two different perpetrators in their vehicles! God protected me🎉

What a beautiful little girl. Even though its more than 30 years later, the hurt never goes away. They need to find a body to help pthe family, I don't think there is ever closure. May God give this family strength.
When I think of the tragic story of Robert Piest, the last victim of Wayne Gacy, who lured Robert to his home, promising work, then keeping him hostage and torturing and killing him, I cringe, there HAS GOT to be a way to detect these horrible child predators.
Why didn't the searchers wait until the snow melted in the Spring to search for the girls remains? Looks like they made a huge mess. If they had waited until Spring, they could have possibly used a cadaver dog to find the burial site.
Because each one of those searchers were invested in this case she could have been any one of their daughters. This was in the Adirondacks where there are wild animals they possibly wanted to get there before any animals could have gotten her.
Being an ex JW unfortunately I had the exposure to a few men who actually ended up being reported as child predators. . Couple were convicted. The rest are still out there it's rife . Thankfully people are coming forward more now they have been exposed for covering up abuse and not allowing victims to report to the police ..they usually bully the victim and threaten to ex communicate these aren't dirty old men either were talking younger healthy attractive men with families. The movie theater owner breaking down crying really resonates with me. My child's father was molested by her dad. I spent years going over all my memories to see if I missed a red flag.
Just because some teens choose to "run away", it doesn't mean that their lives are worth any less than they were previously. They are still victims, not just "run awtrulyas a single father of two pre-teen daughters, this story shatters my heart into a million pieces. I can't even begin to try and fathom what it must be like to experience something so unbelievably tragic and gut-wrenching as losing a child either by going missing or by a death And I'm not even going to try to either. It puts a knot in my stomach and it's too much for me to attempt to bear.
Try a different strategy. Don't qiestiong the guy anymore .iIg ore him. Say the family forgave him . That they won't be looking anymore . He just might start to open up. If they are not interested anymore. He can't let that happen
That'a a really good idea. Or the investigators could tell him that they've found Sara's body. Maybe even show him a fake news story about it. That should jolt him out of his stonewalling.

A missing person has to be one of the worst torments a family can endure.
@@autodogdact3313thank you for sharing your story and keeping Wendy’s story out there. ❤

She had really beautiful eyes. This guy should be 6 ft. under.
I would vote for 12 feet under ...
Her whole life still ahead of her.
Wow that girl Becky faking that asthma attack to avoid an abduction is brilliant! She knew she was NOT getting into that man’s truck.
She's smarter than some adults. Never allow a criminal to take you to a second crime scene. It's never going to end well.
Throwing up is another tactic, turns off the attacker, works with women in rape situations too
@@teddyjam8134 Thats not always so straightforward.

Like Becky i had that sense not to be brought into a scene where no one can see me. There are some crimes, those against children specifically, that should trigger an automatic life sentence in solitary confinement. No parole EVER. Life.
Agree. No plea deals. Just life in prison. Real consequences. But in the end, it's the families who get the life sentence.
This is unacceptable.
life sentence? death penalty.
Just like revolting Ian Brady in UK and little Keith Bennet. They get off on the power and break from jail and the attention.

Exactly my thoughts too.
You acted like a Latina mom… We never get our children out of our eyes!! And it's NOT paranoid

I always taught my kids fight like hell cause you get into that car its pretty much over

He exists, the children don’t. Why?
I was just going to add...give me five minutes with him. The families will get all their answers right now.
I'm glad I am not the one who's mind went there. They should at least take away all privileges and comfort measures.
This is so beyond sad.

there’s nothing worse than bringing harm to a child…. That fact typically unites people across the spectrum of classes. Even the criminals in prison don’t tolerate it.

I have kids and this makes no sense. Soooo by spending time my mentees, my nephews and nieces, my students who cme to my after-school writing club, I am not trustworthy? These are all kids who aren't mine and I'm part of their village. I'm sure others would agree with me.
I Agree. Big ed flag.

Child hunters, predators are the most evil among all of humanity 😑 😢 It's so hard to conceive of that kind of wickedness and cruelty to the most vulnerable among us and it's not anything the victim's loved ones EVER recover from 😢😢😢
Totally agree!
Yea for me!🎉

This brother’s love for his sister and determination to turn a tragedy into something that helps others, is so inspiring! Rest in peace, Sarah 💗
The amount of cases I’ve seen that start with kids and teenagers were labeled “Runaways” instead of possible victims makes me so angry!
I'm surprised that Sara was labeled as abducted and not a runaway
After awhile you realize why talk? Nobody hears us anyway.
@@Marlaina They found her bike dumped in the bushes that's why. If they didn't have that she would also be a "runaway".
That’s an excellent point ! You’re so right ! Nobody probably visits this guy .. it’s a worth a try
I am in awe of Becky. So much courage and presence of mind in one so young.
We had no way of knowing who she was or what happened to her, this is the first time I have seen her story, how heartbreaking..😭
Two days later our son was born, a yr later my niece was born they named her Sara Anne Wood. ❤
It still gives me chills to remember this.
Check that blind man's wall for bodies.
I thought the same thing!!!
I'm guessing they did when they went back to look for more clues.
did you watch the video? they did, and they found nothing
These cases are the reason for the death penalty. Absolute monster!! THere is a special place in hell for monsters like this.
And the worst part about it is, religious "Christians" who don't know their Bible, are the ones that oppose justice for the victims.
It is a shame that this monster can breath and gets shelter and food every day paid by the community.
Absolutely!!

How old are you now? Us there any clue about where could she bé her body...
Nothing that I've heard but I sure hope they find her one sweet day.
No god fearing person would commit such henious acts. He just used religion to conceal his actions and paint a persona.
Exactly! The epitome of satan.
They used the Bible to get to him. He feared God, but certainly served Satan
Absolutely, he used churches and sought to work where children gathered to hone in on them, it's part of the psychopathy.
Sometimes they think God will forgive them anyway....
🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
What a beautiful soul Dusty Woods is. 💖
My heart breaks for this family. ❤❤
When you look up at night, Sarah is the first bright star that catches your eye...shinning bright, her light will never go out...nice tribute, maybe one day hopefully God willing, her family will find her, Amen..🎉❤
“God” allowed her to die at the hands of a predator; why would he care to have her family find her?
A shinning star? I've never seen a star shinn...how does that work?
@@itsahellofaname why so literal? Stars shine brightly, they twinkle, have you not seen a star? Why even comment ? Missing your point, please..elaborate for us..
@@user-jc8py7dw7rgod "allowed" nothing. Nor does he/she "prevent" anything. Free will is our gift & our curse.
@@dlemmo9006 Okay, I'll type this more slowly for you: you mentioned a star that was "shinning brightly". There's no such thing as "shinning". Does that make things clearer for you?
Becky Sabareece looks a lot like Sara :(
Poor her family. Missing child cases are scary ones :(
Dusty is an amazing man. My heart goes out to him and his parents. What a total nightmare.
💔😥💔
RIP Sara Anne 🙏
That silent tribute bike ride was beautiful and touching❤
This is my favorite crime channel b/c of the high quality in narration and visuals. Calmly and intelligently reviewed it is so easy to listen to.
Try looking in that cellar where he was helping the friend.
After driving 600 miles with this monster, I would suggest he must have been sloppy if he couldn't remember. He likes the attention. I'd talk about him like he was a failure for not remembering where he left her.
Exactly!
That man got a free trip out of prison for an entire weekend. I'm sure he'd have said anything for it.
Great job detectives, but this clown 🤡 just wanted to joy ride for 600 miles.
Its our daughters who are the most hunted in this world never forget that. I don't care if it's 1984 or 2024 its not safe for any child to walk or ride their bike alone sadly
Such a beautiful family so very sad
I don't think he's "ordinary looking." He looks super creepy to me; especially, the pop bottle glasses. Couldn't help but think what a beautiful country we have, and about certain people wish to destroy America.
Facts u know that was the style back then but definitely gives me creepy vibes. But def anyone can be this way, even if the most ordinary person.
How could anyone not immediately fall for Sara's charm after watching those home videos. What a bright, shining, positive energy she brought into this world. What an awful man to hold her final moments and resting place hostage like that, continuing to inflict pain for decades from behind bars.
It’s sadistic & sick to play with the families emotions. Knowing they want nothing more than to bring their child home.
I lived near there in 1993. I remember the terror I felt as a mother of a child a few years younger. That area is so country. My ex was a police officer at the time and went up there to help with the search. Very scary time. God bless them all.
How come all these killers seem to all wear the same type of glasses??
That’s what I was saying 😂
@@Deia.Fairies well we can clearly identify the killers back then just by the type of glasses they wore lol
Those glasses were in fashion at the time, not only for killers. ..Not hard to work out!
They are hiding behind them
And, moustaches.
Sad, the killer won’t give up the body location because that’s the only thing he has left to keep people talking to him
Been waiting years for this to come out! I’ll never forget when she went missing.
It’s one thing to lose a family member like that but then to never be able to give them a proper burial is something I can’t even imagine. RIP sweet girl. I know you will greet your family in Heaven someday and it will be glorious.
That girl in MA, Becky, is so amazingly brave and smart!!
"I didn't care if he shot me, I wasn't going to get in his car."
Wow, that's something I learned from listening to an FBI agent.
The agent said NEVER ever get into the car even if held at gunpoint.
You have a better chance of survival running from bullets than if you get into a predator's car.
Parents should teach their kids that.
That is good advice but many children are grabbed and picked up and never have the chance to run.
@@teresashelley Maybe, never ever approach a stranger?? What a sad world when children have to be so wary :(
@@mollymelena6104 That's too broad though.
It proves no matter what time period it is, there will always be a predator that makes things unsafe.
Predators have been around since the Garden.
Not revealing the location of the body should incur the DP.
Jail house peer pressure would probably have some success at finding that little girl.
So so sad, but good episode.
You were 17 year old kid Dusty. You were a kid kiddo. It's So Not Your Fault!!! Prayers to You and your family.❤🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️
😢😢😢😢😢
I was raised not to trust no one not even family members.
We teach kids that "monsters" only exist in stories... little do they know, sometimes they are under their own roof.
God protected me🎉
He is pure evil. He’s holding info back because that’s all he has now.
So many more ways you could motivate him to speak the truth.
This is wild. I remember this growing up. It was just a couple towns over from where I grew up. Learning about Sarah changed us kids forever.
I have a feeling he buried Sarah or one of his other victims in the foundation of his friend’s house ! out of the goodness of his heart sure he proved he does not have one.
Especially as that friend was conveniently legally blind. Making that even more possible.
they went back to look... no new evidence

Amen When The Lord says all rise. We will all meet again, if we live right.
Why? Will she rise from the dead? Stop believing in fairytale.
Becky is smart I'm glad she got away
What a beautiful little girl. Even though its more than 30 years later, the hurt never goes away. They need to find a body to help pthe family, I don't think there is ever closure. May God give this family strength.
When I think of the tragic story of Robert Piest, the last victim of Wayne Gacy, who lured Robert to his home, promising work, then keeping him hostage and torturing and killing him, I cringe, there HAS GOT to be a way to detect these horrible child predators.
The only thing you can do is teach kids to be wary of anyone who offers them anything, work, free stuff, anything.
I love how no one EVER knows a predator, but we all have known a victim.
Deviants
@@exjwtherapy1814 congratulations on escaping the cult!

16:00 that’s the right attitude. Good for Becky to have the mentality she did and to know not to comply.
That part gave me chills. She has a strong intuition, and she listened to it.
She was a very pretty little girl.
Did they check 29:35 where he worked with a friend? Maybe he burried Sarah’s body there. Who knows
48h remind the public 😢 Sara Anne and sadly hundreds of thousands go missing each year, many don't believe the high numbers. This is the biggest of tragedies
The girl who faked an asthma attack and got away... that was so creative... I paused the vid and told my teens her life saving strategy!!
