I like how he offered t.c. a chance to leave. "I don't hate you THAT much" and t.c. chose death rather than live outside what he knows. It was kinda sad

This scene is great. It helps Jesse conclude a huge part of his story and a past that haunted him for a long time.
I love this Scene cause the granny think's she hold's all the card's only to have Jesse to prove her wrong.

Cheaters always forget that others can choose to not play the game.
Sometimes revenge is just so sweet and Jesse was in his right to act his revenge.
That's what happens when you're cruel to someone for so long. There's a possibility of them getting back at you when they get the nerve and the chance. Don't underestimate someone.
Still not as good as when jesse in the comic blew her up with her own oxygen tank

She was on a type of immortality serum. But this kind delays aging... glad to see these people get what they feared.

It's not a serum. She eats souls, which are those glowing vials she throws in the fire.
It sort of serves as one since it virtually grants her immortality and that the machine does its conversion and all.
What I love about that show: for the most vicious, brutal, merciless and bloodthirsty villains there is always the most satisfying punishment. I hated Granny's guts since that scene where they put young Jessie in the coffin. And now, finally, payback! And I also love Jessie's sign of relief when the Granny is finally dead. He is finally and trully free of this place...
Kinda like so many of the Game of Thrones deaths. Granted, you have to wait a bunch of seasons, but they're that much more satisfying, even the merciless brutality is somehow satisfying.

She didn't die...was trapped with that device at the brink of death. The very final moment. Then sucked back and drained down over and over...to remove it would kill her. And that is not wanted by anyone.
god this show is so feckin good. This one and Legion which I believe is also FX are the best comic adaptations imo.
this is an AMC show. but both shows are excellent regardless!
This is what I want Dc to do with Constantine, I would watch the fuck out of that.

Within the realm of TV series, yeah, Legion and Preacher are way up there, but so is Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Why didn't he use the powers of genesis to make his grandmother go to hell after she died? He did something like that with Eugene Root. The power of genesis is undeniable. Maybe the contract would burn down or something.

If he use the power of genesis, is not necessary be dead If he says to stay "permanently in hell", the power of genesis makes it happen.
He wanted her to suffer.
Well, eventually, but you have to admit that having her destroy that which she had sold so much to get was an excellent way to make her SUFFER.

due to explosion of cylinder in her room, Jesse didn't kill her directly. He was fighting with her gunman Jody while her room exploded

Does genesis have others powers then the voice that makes anyone do what he says? Can he manipulate matter? Stop bullets midair? Defy the laws of gravity? He’s the offspring of a angel and demon and is said to be more powerful then god so I be lvoe he can do that.
I don't think so. God created Genesis because what God can't does is make people do something, he created people with free will. So God thought maybe creating a force that can make people do things in absolute command would be equally powerful as him, so we have Genesis, and commanding is the only power he has.

I still don't get it. He should have stopped the device just before the end. Then it would still be "natural" cause and a whole lot quicker then before.
He should’ve use the word and said “Go to Hell”. And should would’ve been the one to go to hell.
He should’ve just said “go to hell gran’ma”

Is this season any better then previous two?
The beginning was painful to watch as the characters went through a lot but the payoff was very good. There better be a season four!

It was a machine that sucks your soul out. Since she’s so old she just got super old really fast and dies.
Souls, the machine was based on an old mortuary truncheon that sucks out body fluid.

Satan doesn’t decide whose goes to hell... it’s god, if god won’t let sin enter heaven then Satan can get the sin.
God doesn't give a shit anymore. He abandoned Heaven to do porn, while dressed as a dog. The Angels are trying to cover for him, but they're doing a terrible job at it. It's because of them that the *Saint of Killers* is walking around again.

So here is a question.. when they do these "comic to feature" projects.... are they DELIBERATELY trying to piss off those who read the comic? Or trying to draw in readers from viewers?
Because.
Shows are a different medium. They have different expectations, constraints, and tell stories in a different way. If you ever want see a great example of this watch Sin City. The vast majority of that movie was shot for shot from the comics and there's parts that it's clunky as all hell because of it.
This isn‘t the case for Preacher, is it? Except for Season 1, most things are basically just like they are in the comics.

Buddy Barlow I think they were souls. She survives by taking other peoples souls. Destroying those was equal to making her throw away a century of extra life
still didn't get why she's able to sell Jesse's soul to satan..

i don't get this either. She didn't save tulip, tulip was saved by God... it kinda makes no sense. Also, the fact that grandma threatened Jessie with Hell... it's not like Jessie consideres himself a saint... this season was fun, but a bit rushed
i have to disagree. In the best case for grandma , jesse's soul was a rental. If he has the chance to pay his debt, that means the soul is still his, and not for anybody to trade.
Think about it, she sold Jesse's soul, and then she said "your debt is paid"... how does that work? why was she controling jesses still if she gave it to satan? it;s a big plot hole.
Also ... yes... god saved tulip, he literally stopped time, got her out of the bomb's way and resumed the scene with her not being there. He did save him because he thought Tulip would convince Jesse to stop looking for him
That was exactly what I thought, even if that handkerchief was a pawn of his soul, why she's able to trade it for a free pass to heaven is kinda long shot.. and after all she said 'your debt is paid', so..
