Hi Michael '… YOU READ MY MIND :-)… I already purchased about 6 Sq Ft of nice leather yesterday - enough for (6 x 12 x 12 =864 sq in / (6 x 1.5 = 9 sq in per thumb ring) = 96 (let’s just say nearly 100) thumb rings :-O… What I NEED is a PRECISION CUTTER - either METAL (like I used for my custom vanes) or LASER, which I’m researching… @$10 ea on Amazon… Stay tuned, Mark
Ted, Are you saying DON'T shoot an asian bow with a LEATHER thumb ring??? What do you think was being used 3,000 years ago (or earlier!) when these bows were first invented? METAL thumb rings didn't appear for another 1,000 years, so the only other materials were BONE and HORN... Tell me what you're thinking - this could be a useful discussion, but NOT if you only utter one cryptic, ambiguous sentence and then drop off... Waiting to hear from you soon ! -Mark
@@VOGTLANDOUTDOORS noo not at all hermano i have been shooting leather thumb on horse bow for 31yrs and i actually love the one you made. Nice and simple..but never string walk those bows..shoot it again like that but pay attention to the bows feel and response. Then shoot again with thumb barley touching nock and you will see your self why..string walking is only for recurve because of how it torques the limbs tiller. And arrow right side of bow if shooting thumb riggt handed(absolutly non debatable).. Sry if spelling crap.feliz navidad y buen viaje.
Very nice job love it.!!!
Kool Deal…..looks like somethin to get Santa’s elves workin on for the Vogtland Outdoors Store in time for a Christmas sale👍
