every time he plays he bleeds his soul all over the stage..... what a talent. AMAZING. simple , precise, soulfull... he puts all his heart into every note he plays every word he sings. Can`t get enough of Warren Haynes. This guy was placed on this earth with a purpose. Thank you Warren and ( i aint a bible thumper ) but Thank GOD ( whoever and however you yourself percieve him to be ) for putting you here to jerk a tear from our eyes.........
I hear that! Here's a guy that knows the therapeutic value of music. He does it .. for me! ~~~~~~~ "Good-Bye Carolina" is my favorite. @ 10:00 in.~~ th-cam.com/video/zPSPwak1O20/w-d-xo.html November 19, 2018 - Marcus King performs acoustic versions of songs off his third full-length album, Carolina Confessions, live at WGBH’s Fraser Performance Studio. King recorded Carolina Confessions with producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, John Prine, Jason Isbell) at Nashville's iconic RCA Studio A.
Right on-absolutely true! First heard it coming out of an oceanfront bar/eatery on Myrtle Beach boardwalk on a day when I was a little run down on my soul>
Not gonna lie, when Warren plays guitar (usually slide), some of the licks that he does in songs make multiple emotions show in me at once. I have an extreme burst of short laughter and happiness accompanied with a couple of tears....euphoric elation at its best.
I love that song its helped through some of my hardest time in my life. Now when I am down I just put that song on and it takes all my troubles away and puts a smile on my face
Originally this was to be an Allman Brothers gig but they had to cancel when Gregg got his liver transplant. But Warren and Derek, the "have guitar will play" twins, came through in the clutch.
Jesus Christ. How can they perform SO perfect in front of that huge audience? I wouldn't even be able to play a single note, and even if I did, I bet it'd choke. Fantastic performance.
What a talent he is and a mere boy of 60 another generation of greats aren’t coming back after this thing and he is one of the people who is going to carry this music through.
This very recording got me through some of the worst times in my life. I learned how to play it and really wish to have the chance to play it in front of people sometime. AMAZING song.
🎸 Warren Haynes, Thank you so much for what you did for the A.B.B.you really came through for them.🍄.You help keep it together & man you play dam good too👍U fit wright in with your guitar playing & singing. AlSO U got a great band on your own.🍄Thank You👍Big Time 🙏🎼🎶🎵🎸..............
i've been looking for this song for years after i found a small clip of it on Instagram, then today it showed up in my recommendations. proof that good music will find you.
I was going thru a really rough time, I would play this song every sunday as if it were my church. I even go to a very cool church that the band plays secular music. I've gotten the band to play this several times.
incredible......have listened to this dozens of time in a row.....love it. maybe I should get a job....naw. I think I will listen to this again and again and again.....
I saw A.B.B. at the NYS Fair in 1991...on the "Where it all began..." Tour, and this song still sustains me to now. I've been a huge fan since, and TTB...AND Crossroads Guitar Festival since the start. 2020 has been so heartbreaking, and I am hoping we can one day Experience such great shows again. Gratefully, and Hopefully.... Keep Shining!!
I saw Derick Trucks and Warren Haynes play this song in 2006 at my college during our spring music festival. I was 19years old, I had never heard of either of them, and though absurdly physically impaired at the time, both of them became some of my top favorite musicians. That same year I saw Joe Bonamassa open up for BB King and he blew the smoke out of my eyes.
This song came right into my soul so deeply that it took a while for me to realize that this is the music I always wanted to play, and luckly I'm on the run to do it, a huge bunch of hugs and thanks from me goes to warren, derek and all the guys on stage!
“.. And when your world seems cold You got to let your spirit take control..” And then Warren let his spirit take control over his guitar, and he warmed our heart and soul with his emotional solo.
Like everyone else would have loved to have been there......... Fantastic stuff from Warren and the band, thanks for the show ;) Wish i could transport the whole show to Scotland.
Indeed this song is SOOOOOOO Soulful . for me it was a song that Really got me through some tough times in this crazy Journey we call Life.. :-) Also the Song My wife and I had our 1st dance to ..
Eric Clapton was invited by the Allman Bros. Band to play a show with them during the Beacon run in 2009. There are vids of that show on TH-cam and you'll see/hear that they didn't compete. Big respect towards the other! And they had fun!!
This young man is one of my all time favorites and he has come unto his own as one of the greatest EVER. When accompanied by Trucks and Tedechi it's history in the making!
If there is a criminally under-rated guitarist list anywhere, Warren Haynes is number one on the list. He would hold his own against or with any guitarist from any time. And he is a better slide player than Derek, good as HE is.

I can relate, the window pain in my eyes pour rain whenever I hear this........

He's got an incredible soulful sound & spirit in his voice..
Not gonna lie, when Warren plays guitar (usually slide), some of the licks that he does in songs make multiple emotions show in me at once. I have an extreme burst of short laughter and happiness accompanied with a couple of tears....euphoric elation at its best.
Proud to share the same hometown as him. Asheville, NC born and bred!
I love that song its helped through some of my hardest time in my life. Now when I am down I just put that song on and it takes all my troubles away and puts a smile on my face

Great song, love the words, guitar, and the band behind it. Derek and Warren are as good as it gets for me. Keep it up Boys!!!
A timeless tune that never grows old!
What a talent he is and a mere boy of 60 another generation of greats aren’t coming back after this thing and he is one of the people who is going to carry this music through.
i love this song!!! once a fine woman gave me a cd full with different versions of soulshine. i always think about her when hearing this song!
This very recording got me through some of the worst times in my life. I learned how to play it and really wish to have the chance to play it in front of people sometime. AMAZING song.

I was there...it was freaking awesome!!
Can we take a moment and appreciate Oteil Burbidge? What a beast....
They're all good. :)
Derek Trucks is a quiet guitar master.
I am a Guitarist and to me the Bass line always stands out. O’teill is an Amazing Bassist he adds to a great song.
That bass work is solid!
One of the best songs ever written. And Warren Haynes is one of the guitar player ever in my book.
Warren

I was going thru a really rough time, I would play this song every sunday as if it were my church. I even go to a very cool church that the band plays secular music. I've gotten the band to play this several times.

Agree with all comments preceding about Warren Haynes' undervalued genius. Derek Trucks plays a nice rhythm, too.
Trucks just chillin' on this one :)
SOULSHINE!!!!! Absolutely beautiful...Warren is my new favorite player bar none!!!
Never get tired of this video , love it
How can you not like this....honestly. People are depressed or something.
Truly amazing!!!!!! Thank you Warren!
Warren & Derek! SO glad I got this DVD!!! Guitar-gasm!
This is a great live performance! Jammin for sure .
This song is epic. Warren is a damn of a musician and singer.
Awesome. This guy has it all.
How could anyone not like this song? Says so much, I want this played at my funeral.
This song came right into my soul so deeply that it took a while for me to realize that this is the music I always wanted to play, and luckly I'm on the run to do it, a huge bunch of hugs and thanks from me goes to warren, derek and all the guys on stage!

I was there and this still takes my breath away!
Nothing like real live music and this man has mastered live very well, love his music
Awesome. A good friend introduced me to this & I love it!
My favorite song EVER by my favorite musician EVER!!
Warren's Crown Jewel. Vocals are great, Tone and Vibrato on that Les Paul awesome!!!!
warren haynes is the best guitar player/singer in the world
This solo is so much better than the studio version
“.. And when your world seems cold
You got to let your spirit take control..”
And then Warren let his spirit take control over his guitar, and he warmed our heart and soul with his emotional solo.
I love this man ,his playing is unparalleled by none
Questa è musica!!! 😮
Like everyone else would have loved to have been there.........
Fantastic stuff from Warren and the band, thanks for the show ;)
Wish i could transport the whole show to Scotland.

Thank GOD for Warren Haynes!
God I would have loved being there!!!!!! :)
I start wveryday with this video ,i love it
Derek Trucks is cryin. That's ok derek, ive cried plenty to let my soulshine.
Indeed this song is SOOOOOOO Soulful . for me it was a song that Really got me through some tough times in this crazy Journey we call Life.. :-) Also the Song My wife and I had our 1st dance to ..
A combination of Allman Bros and Tedeschi Trucks- it doesn't get much better.
Goosebumps on goosebumps.
And on the 7th day, he kicked back and grooved to Warren Haynes. And all was right and good.
TH-cam woke people up to who warren Hynes really is.
sadly still not enough people know!!!
One of the premier guitars in the US. :)
Warren Haynes…..probably spell check.✌️
Got turned on to Warren and Matt Abts in the 80s when they played on Dickey Betts pattern disruptive album
Saw him with the Allman brothers way back before TH-cam
Sounds like strictly connected to your soul, soulshine, on the Warren Haynes guitar solo in the end of this live version great song.
It shines.... it really does... :)
Awesome!
Warren Haynes is deffo one of the top best guitarist in the world
Eric Clapton was invited by the Allman Bros. Band to play a show with them during the Beacon run in 2009. There are vids of that show on TH-cam and you'll see/hear that they didn't compete. Big respect towards the other! And they had fun!!
Warren is all soul
Meravigliosoooooooooo
Such a great band
日本人のわたしは、ウォーレン・ヘインズさんのギタープレイが大好きです🎵❤️ぜひ日本(横浜)に来てください。『♪ソウルシャイン』も大好きです🎵❤️(このコメントを英訳してね)
I love the bass line in this song.
Guitar soul!!! AWESOME GUITAR SOLO
Just beautiful!
love this song,,,,,,,,truth in lyrics ,,even though I feel like crap...it always makes me smile
Saw Warren with the Dead back in 2008. Think it was 2008. Was a bit hazy. It was great!!
This young man is one of my all time favorites and he has come unto his own as one of the greatest EVER. When accompanied by Trucks and Tedechi it's history in the making!
Excelent Showww
His tone on that Les Paul is absolutely beautiful I'd really like to see his set up!
Country music has so much soul ❤️
Not country
awesome guitar! sweet strings!
best purchase ever!
MusicForLife20111234 Warren le dá muy bien a la quitarra, pero además tiene un
timbre de voz envidiable .... Felicitaciones ....... el uruguayo.
How cool is that for Butch to play with ABB and Eric Claptons band....Blessed all of them
Warren Haynes is awesome
I'm not buying that Eric doesn't want to play on the same stage with Warren. He has always shared the stage with the greatest guitarists in the world.
At this point Eric had already played with the Allman brothers a year before this
Epic! Wish I were there!
Got the chills a bit
They should call this line up Mule Drool! Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Love it!
love this!!!!!!!!!!
Feel like I'm there. Good stuff!
Great Song…Great Festival
Truly a beautiful performance. Personally, I would have liked to hear a solo from Derek too but you can't win them all. That was amazing.
with Warren AND Derek...this is definitely a guitargasm..
If there is a criminally under-rated guitarist list anywhere, Warren Haynes is number one on the list. He would hold his own against or with any guitarist from any time. And he is a better slide player than Derek, good as HE is.
Good call. I didn't know that. Thanks.
Let your Soulshine...shine till the break of day!
Let your Soulshine...shine till the break of day!
