I’ve had pretty much the same impressions -it’s amazing, a giant leap forward from the old one with two ecam pages, three usable buttons and the GPWS guy shouting “overspeed” because you’re doing M0.9 with n1 at 75%.
Very nice stream, and as a Boeing guy, I am impressed with the "Default" Airbus. I am certainly tempted to dive into the manual/checklist and give this bird a some flight time.
I think that was a very fair review Emanuel, thanks. Seems to be typical of the flight sim community that I've heard people give the full range of feedback on this plane - from excellent through to unflyable (cos of lnav/vnav limitations)!
That warning couldn't come up at a worse time. I can't believe that after 4 years and countless complaints, that ridiculous huge on screen warning still comes up in the middle of the screen. At least they could make it smaller and put it in one corner.
It seems really great and I hope its a good product for new simmers. Its a pity that many of us have been flying fenix for awhile now (even though its not the neo). But everything still works the same anyway.

Wow, high praise indeed. It did seem to run very smoothly. My only beef is I feel like the cockpit side window "B pillar" looks slightly wrong (a bit too wide/thick looking from the outside), but that is a pretty small gripe when everything else functions so well. I am really looking forward to a FBW A32NX vs iniBuilds A320 video, as I am now pretty confused as to which one to pick!
Another awesome video thanks for doing it. I flew two flights in the Inibuilds A320 yesterday. My first flight out of EDDF on 25C, I thought I was going to run out of runway. You can imagine then on my second flight from MMMX on 05R I was rotating as RaaS was screaming at me. The other major issue (could just be me) but the DTO is a total mess. The Inibuilds A320neo just doesn't seem to follow the FMC logic as Fenix or FlyByWire. I've also found myself on both flights having to manually insert the ILS Nav and OBS, something no one should have to do in an Airbus. Anyway, I think I'll give up on it for a while and wait for some updates.
I would say this plane will keep us busy flying until at least the PMDG plane comes! They really did do a phenomenal job on this! This would be like the FBW 2.0 but 2.0 is more for Xbox Users! But this is right up there with FBW’s level. Now it’s still got some things it could use on future updates, but all in all a very good aircraft!!
Great video as always. There is a new Fly Tampa release of EGNJ (Humberside) just out and it's absolutely lovely and (being from near Hull) I've been waiting for a good EGNJ for ages. Maybe a future flight video of a KLM from EGNJ to EHAM?
Thank you for this nice video. This freeware is a "must have" and has a "smoothness" in the handling not seen in the paywares, the ground steering is accurate and smooth as the real aircraft. I found that the take-off acceleration is a bit "lazy", in your video at 60T the roll is "long" (FLEX 55) and during the initial climb the speed went close to the VLS (
Love this so far- being stuck on Xbox the Airbus family and options besides 300 and 310 have been junk- funny though, I noticed my pilot ID didn’t work “as it asks for” but username did for Simbrief in EFB. No biggie though. Inibuilds well done, just like Just Flight and PMDG…all filling needs in the community

I’ve not used the A320neo yet as I has have been enjoying GA aircraft in SU15. Tbf it’s been working great had an amazing light at dusk in the Duke. Hopefully Inibuilds can get on with the A350 no. Thx for the video it’s great both sim and d this aircraft have made such progress.
Hopefully their work on the A310 and this plane will give them lots of experience and code they can draw on to make their A350 and A380 really top notch. There's definitely advantages to Airbus's commonality when it comes to sim development.
Great video! I've been flying the A320neo in the sim using the FBW model, but I recently tried the IniBuilds model and noticed some interesting differences in how they handle. Now I'm curious, which one do you think is closer to the real A320neo experience?
Managed two of my practice flights easy flight into EHAM and difficult approach into LOWI. Both flights went very well especially for default aircraft. On my system be nice to have few fps back but it’s pretty close to similar aircraft. The visual model with the 4k is nice once repainters get to it be even better. My one big gripe is the sounds are just wrong. I agree the flight deck sounds don’t seem well balanced. I carnt hear any bings or clicks or anything above the A/C etc. maybe a sound effects slider in EFB would be good I thought A300 had that don’t remember. I’m sure it improve as always but Tbf to Ini and Asobo Su15 in general and this aircraft have been great addons.

Say what you will about inibuilds but they make fantastic aircraft and have done so since their X-Plane beginnings , They might not be Fenix or Toliss levels of system details but they are amazing devs.
Anybody else having weird issues with this where the MSFS cockpit views are all wonky? I can’t get the view from directly under the overhead panel like I can in the other airbuses. (And other Boeings for that matter). Great content as always, Emmanuel!

I´m a frequent flyer and most of the days it is very hazy when I look out of the window. I think XP12 does it much better and I would love to see a better haze simulation in MSFS. What is your impression Emanuel?
I share your opinion, visibility in MSFS is not very good. Active Sky makes it a little better, but still far from perfect. It seems like when the METAR says visibility is unlimited that's exactly what you get in the sim. That a METAR however stops reporting from 10km visibility onwards.... it's rarely more than 20-30km at low level in the real world, often less than that, even in very good weather conditions.
Hello Emmanuel, I must say, I have learned so much from you and love how in-depth you get in your vidoes. You even make videos about functions within a function of an aircraft so your viewiers know exactly what they're doing and why. I see an upload and won't hesitate to watch. I love the inlbuilds A320NEO v2 and after sim update 15, MSFS2020 runs so smooth wven with heavy detailed aiports (for now at least). Also, nice touch with the simulated checklist and convos between all parties involved. Question, I'm having issues setting reverse thrust while using my TCA airbus edition. It calibrates, but still doesn’t apply when I want to use reverse thrust. Any chance you may know what i might be doing wrong or is it possibly a bug that needs a fix?
Ich hatte nicht die Zeit, alle deine Videos zum 320neo durchzuschauen. Aber was sagst du zur Takeoff Performance von der Maschine? Es gibt so viele Reports dazu, dass man es gerade so schafft in die Luft zu kommen. Alles kein Problem bei TOGA takeoffs, aber sobald man ne Flex Temp rein gibt wird das zur Katastrophe. Die Flexed Thrust Werte sind weit niedriger als all diejenigen von Flugzeugen außen rum. Ob das ne PMDG 737 ist, ein Fenix A320 oder sonstige Maschinen. Alle sind bei den Thrust Ratings ungefähr im selben Bereich unterwegs abhängig von der Flex Temp. Nur der ini neo, der fällt nach unten hin komplett raus. Da ist das höchste Flex Thrust Rating niedriger als das niedrigste beim Fenix oder der PMDG. Ich schaffe es auf der 4.400m Piste in Las Vegas (26R) gerade so vor dem Ende der Runway nach oben mit einer Flex Temp in den unteren 50ern...
Ich hatte kein problem bisher. Solange die Werte denen entsprechen, die das EFB berechnet hat, und nicht einfach aus der Luft gegriffen geraten wurden (das machen überraschend viele Flugsimmer!), bin ich bislang immer problemlos in die Luft gekommen. Mach nicht den Fehler die N1 Zahlen zu vergleichen, das sind komplett unterschiedliche Triebwerke und N1 ist nichts anderes, als eine fiktionelle Zahl, die der Flugzeughersteller sich ausgedacht hat. Die N1 kann ja zB auch bei über 100% liegen bei einigen Flugzeugen, was ja rein logisch bereits unmöglich sein müsste.

Außerdem habe ich ein Video vom Takeoff eines SAS A320neo gesehen und habe die gleiche Flex Temp im ini A320neo eingegeben. Die Folge war ein Unterschied von ca. 3% N1 was der SAS A320neo im Video mehr hatte bei flex 57 als der ini A320neo. Die Triebwerke sind ja bei SAS bekanntlich auch die CFM.
Navigraph support will never happen. Asobo won’t allow it. That’s why A310 does not have it but A300 (released independently) does have Navigraph charts in EFB. None of the planes released under Asobo brand support Navigraph.
Well, Asobo *does* allow simbrief integration nowadays. I have a feeling the "asobo does not allow it" argument is really more of an excuse to provide extra features for a possible later payware release. They need to provide improvements compared to the default aircraft so that people buy it. Navigraph integration surely might be one of such. At least I never heard asobo publically saying they won't allow it. It's usually community members saying so, but how often did we read that from actual developers? I don't recall a single time.
I think there are a lot of bugs , I can’t understand why for my sim it cannot download the voyage plan from my simbrief (on other planes that I have works fine ) plus I always get GPS issues I don’t know how to fix !

I really don't understand what people like about the PTU sound so much. It's not something you hear in the cockpit, it's just in the pax cabin. And during the times where the PTU would operate I would be in the cockpit, not in the cabin. Of course some people may use their sim in a different way than I do and thus like that sound, for me personally though it's irrelevant as I would never hear it.
Thank you for the review - I really appreciate them. They are always fair and truthful (I forgot thank you for A340 review). One question: how does it handle time compression? I have Fenix A320 and the only problem I have with it is the limit of 2x time compression. If iniBuilds A320 can do 4x or better I will certainly use it 😀.
Hmm, that isn’t bad, I usually slow down for turns. Is the fuel burn accelerated properly, i.e. 4x faster at 4x? This is a problem with iniBuilds A300 which makes it unusable with acceleration…
haha, while I'd certainly love it I could never really get my head around DCS. Just too much stuff I simply have absolutely no clue about (think weapons, military tactics, etc.). I don't just want to fly VFR like a Cessna in a fighter jet if I'd use DCS... so unfortunately it's not for me, sorry.

I have barely a clue what really is going on when using all these radar modes, and different deployment options, I just find it fun to blow up some things from time to time and going fast (not literally but ingame...) and really being punished if you make mistakes (let be honest, I like msfs but it is very forgiving at times) Carrier landings are fantastic in DCS when done right.
That's was not my 1st impression. I had the stall mid flight and had to cancel it. Before the A320 went to sh*t, I felt it a bit heavy on the fps. And it's not better than the ini A310. Not right now. It can be a tough competiution to the FBW A320. I hope they can fix it and the Asobo doesn't take to long to up those fixes.
It feels a little like it's good as long as everything is done fully managed and without anything "interrupting" the normal operations process. As soon as something brings it out of this "normal routine" things can go southbound quickly.
It is quite interesting that the plane is not identical to the one on the xBox platform. The sound of the airplane is different, most of the buttons works but does nothing (for example I constantly get the hot brakes warning, pressing the brake fan and the tempreture still rising). The main differenc is still the performance, its lagging all the way, and freezing sometimes. Yesterday the cpt's displays went to SELF TEST mode during cruising and all the buttons froze for a couple of minutes. Not to mention that when I want to land at airports made by Microsoft the plane take the wrong ILS freq and not allowing me to change. Prove me wrong that it's the same on both platforms but on xBox it's basically still like a beta version.
Well you have to remember that consoles are running on less computing power and memory than PCs, so there will have to be compromises somewhere, somehow. No matter how much they try and sell people on "you can do flightsim on console", I just don't believe it will ever be as good as PC, what with it being such a resource hungry game genre.
Hey! I've been having issues with vatsim while flying the ini a320, for some reason all audio for vatsim does not work. I cant hear atc, and they cant hear me. This is only happening with the ini a320, and I cant seem to find out how to fix it.
1st try , nosewheel steering weird. Reload, all okay. Line up, Flex thrust, go, the thing rolled on and went left into the grass, and I couldn´t steer it back, no effect.

Strange bug for me where AP wants to start off and stay in HDG mode - OR - will fly runway heading only. I have to tell it DIR-> waypoint to get it to follow LNAV. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

I cannot control the plane when on take off or landing. It veers off the runway and when I try to correct it - it makes it worse. Never had this issue with any aircraft on the game. I have the rudder connected to the tiller but still doesn’t work. Any suggestions?

I'd say the Aerosoft one was a bit further developed, though a bit more buggy. It had more features and was better tailored to the customers needs, which of course is surely influenced by the fact that the Aerosoft one is fully developed by now and the iniBuilds one just a new release. Though I'm not too sure how many updates and feature additions we might see on this one seeing that it's just a Microsoft plane and customer influence (and thus sales numbers) probably won't matter that much.
I am not an intelligent man. So I look around the complex flight deck of an airbus A320 and then climb out and into my trusty Beach Barron and off I go into the blue. 😊
My guess is that they cut that corner because there was no ready-to-use database available. The simulators internal one that was used in past airplanes just doens't do the job of representing the system properly.
Hi, it should be included by default, only the cabin and high res outside model should be on marketplace. I belive xbox can't handle them and thus they are only available for PC.

I really didn't have such issues yet, are you sure you're using the Flex temp calculated by the EFB and not some random number by another tool?

I never used those, but maybe try to create your own or download a set made by others from flightsim.to if there is one available already.

I´m a frequent flyer and most of the days it is very hazy when I look out of the window. I think XP12 does it much better and I would love to see a better haze simulation in MSFS. What is your impression Emanuel?
I share your opinion, visibility in MSFS is not very good. Active Sky makes it a little better, but still far from perfect. It seems like when the METAR says visibility is unlimited that's exactly what you get in the sim. That a METAR however stops reporting from 10km visibility onwards.... it's rarely more than 20-30km at low level in the real world, often less than that, even in very good weather conditions.

is this the V2 version? seems like the V2 version won't load the flight plan from the menu page automatically to the FCU unlike this version one
There isn’t a GSX integration just like we have in the Fenix and fbw
Actually not an issue :) just few more clicks and manual loading . It's still free , and maybe it will be updated in the future .
Tokyo Narita also has similarly shaped STARs. I'm guessing they're for making congestion easier to manage?
I like it as well, but I find it annoying that it has no camera quickview for the overhead panel…

Hello Emmanuel, I must say, I have learned so much from you and love how in-depth you get in your vidoes. You even make videos about functions within a function of an aircraft so your viewiers know exactly what they're doing and why. I see an upload and won't hesitate to watch. I love the inlbuilds A320NEO v2 and after sim update 15, MSFS2020 runs so smooth wven with heavy detailed aiports (for now at least). Also, nice touch with the simulated checklist and convos between all parties involved.
Question, I'm having issues setting reverse thrust while using my TCA airbus edition. It calibrates, but still doesn’t apply when I want to use reverse thrust. Any chance you may know what i might be doing wrong or is it possibly a bug that needs a fix?
Ich hatte nicht die Zeit, alle deine Videos zum 320neo durchzuschauen. Aber was sagst du zur Takeoff Performance von der Maschine? Es gibt so viele Reports dazu, dass man es gerade so schafft in die Luft zu kommen. Alles kein Problem bei TOGA takeoffs, aber sobald man ne Flex Temp rein gibt wird das zur Katastrophe. Die Flexed Thrust Werte sind weit niedriger als all diejenigen von Flugzeugen außen rum. Ob das ne PMDG 737 ist, ein Fenix A320 oder sonstige Maschinen. Alle sind bei den Thrust Ratings ungefähr im selben Bereich unterwegs abhängig von der Flex Temp. Nur der ini neo, der fällt nach unten hin komplett raus. Da ist das höchste Flex Thrust Rating niedriger als das niedrigste beim Fenix oder der PMDG.
Ich schaffe es auf der 4.400m Piste in Las Vegas (26R) gerade so vor dem Ende der Runway nach oben mit einer Flex Temp in den unteren 50ern...
Ich hatte kein problem bisher. Solange die Werte denen entsprechen, die das EFB berechnet hat, und nicht einfach aus der Luft gegriffen geraten wurden (das machen überraschend viele Flugsimmer!), bin ich bislang immer problemlos in die Luft gekommen.
Mach nicht den Fehler die N1 Zahlen zu vergleichen, das sind komplett unterschiedliche Triebwerke und N1 ist nichts anderes, als eine fiktionelle Zahl, die der Flugzeughersteller sich ausgedacht hat. Die N1 kann ja zB auch bei über 100% liegen bei einigen Flugzeugen, was ja rein logisch bereits unmöglich sein müsste.
@@A330Driver Aber kann einem das nicht komisch vorkommen, wenn verschiedenste Triebwerke im selben Bereich sind und selbst CFM, die ja die ceos und die neos ausstatten sind mit den "ceos" im Bereich der anderen Triebwerke und die LEAP-1A dann was komplett anderes? Außerdem habe ich ein Video vom Takeoff eines SAS A320neo gesehen und habe die gleiche Flex Temp im ini A320neo eingegeben. Die Folge war ein Unterschied von ca. 3% N1 was der SAS A320neo im Video mehr hatte bei flex 57 als der ini A320neo. Die Triebwerke sind ja bei SAS bekanntlich auch die CFM.
Navigraph support will never happen. Asobo won’t allow it. That’s why A310 does not have it but A300 (released independently) does have Navigraph charts in EFB. None of the planes released under Asobo brand support Navigraph.
Well, Asobo *does* allow simbrief integration nowadays. I have a feeling the "asobo does not allow it" argument is really more of an excuse to provide extra features for a possible later payware release. They need to provide improvements compared to the default aircraft so that people buy it. Navigraph integration surely might be one of such.
At least I never heard asobo publically saying they won't allow it. It's usually community members saying so, but how often did we read that from actual developers? I don't recall a single time.
Surprised they allow simbrief as it is a Navigraph product.

So if you do not have Simbrief, then you do not have any options to save or load previous flight plans. Also, the taxi is a nightmare

Thank you! No, I did not notice that. However I doubt that I would see much of a difference on my computer anyway with the frames capped at 57. If I would theoretically get 120 or 110 just wouldn't make any difference on my computer.
My power levers went out of synch on first flight? The configurator didn't work accurately? Probably just my bad luck.

Emanuel did u know that there’s a PTU sound it’s awesome
I really don't understand what people like about the PTU sound so much. It's not something you hear in the cockpit, it's just in the pax cabin. And during the times where the PTU would operate I would be in the cockpit, not in the cabin.
Of course some people may use their sim in a different way than I do and thus like that sound, for me personally though it's irrelevant as I would never hear it.
How are the frames on this when compared to, say the Fenix or FBW?
I see no difference, but since my frames are capped at 57 I woulnd't notice any difference above that level.

Thank you for the review - I really appreciate them. They are always fair and truthful (I forgot thank you for A340 review). One question: how does it handle time compression? I have Fenix A320 and the only problem I have with it is the limit of 2x time compression. If iniBuilds A320 can do 4x or better I will certainly use it 😀.

It lets you do 4x, but in my experience so far it overshoots every turn
Hmm, that isn’t bad, I usually slow down for turns. Is the fuel burn accelerated properly, i.e. 4x faster at 4x? This is a problem with iniBuilds A300 which makes it unusable with acceleration…

haha, while I'd certainly love it I could never really get my head around DCS. Just too much stuff I simply have absolutely no clue about (think weapons, military tactics, etc.). I don't just want to fly VFR like a Cessna in a fighter jet if I'd use DCS... so unfortunately it's not for me, sorry.

I have barely a clue what really is going on when using all these radar modes, and different deployment options, I just find it fun to blow up some things from time to time and going fast (not literally but ingame...) and really being punished if you make mistakes (let be honest, I like msfs but it is very forgiving at times) Carrier landings are fantastic in DCS when done right.
That's was not my 1st impression. I had the stall mid flight and had to cancel it. Before the A320 went to sh*t, I felt it a bit heavy on the fps. And it's not better than the ini A310. Not right now. It can be a tough competiution to the FBW A320. I hope they can fix it and the Asobo doesn't take to long to up those fixes.
It feels a little like it's good as long as everything is done fully managed and without anything "interrupting" the normal operations process. As soon as something brings it out of this "normal routine" things can go southbound quickly.

I’m on Xbox, I import simbrief just fine.
It is quite interesting that the plane is not identical to the one on the xBox platform.
The sound of the airplane is different, most of the buttons works but does nothing (for example I constantly get the hot brakes warning, pressing the brake fan and the tempreture still rising). The main differenc is still the performance, its lagging all the way, and freezing sometimes. Yesterday the cpt's displays went to SELF TEST mode during cruising and all the buttons froze for a couple of minutes. Not to mention that when I want to land at airports made by Microsoft the plane take the wrong ILS freq and not allowing me to change.
Prove me wrong that it's the same on both platforms but on xBox it's basically still like a beta version.
Well you have to remember that consoles are running on less computing power and memory than PCs, so there will have to be compromises somewhere, somehow. No matter how much they try and sell people on "you can do flightsim on console", I just don't believe it will ever be as good as PC, what with it being such a resource hungry game genre.
Hey! I've been having issues with vatsim while flying the ini a320, for some reason all audio for vatsim does not work. I cant hear atc, and they cant hear me. This is only happening with the ini a320, and I cant seem to find out how to fix it.
Fly by Wire A320, Fenix A320, Inibuilds A320.....that's a lot of A320
And only a single one of them is generally available for all MSFS users, the others all focus on only a certain group of users.
Could the "too big windows" be because of a specific setting Field Of View percentage setting in your graphic settings, causing an optic ilusion?
1st try , nosewheel steering weird. Reload, all okay. Line up, Flex thrust, go, the thing rolled on and went left into the grass, and I couldn´t steer it back, no effect.
Check your settings in the efb regarding the tiller
Strange thing happends to me. When Im trying to enter Init next page for weight management it says "not allowed". What am I doing wrong?
Are your engines shut off? With the engines running you can not access the INIT B page. Use the FUEL PRED page instead to enter your weights.

Hi, im unable to get the engines to start, fuel pressure is on, ignition is set to start and master set to on, N2 illuminates with 0.0 but nothing happens, how do i fix this> What am i doing wrong?
you didnt mention bleed pressure so maybe you havent turned on the apu or havent enabled the apu bleed switch on the overhead ?

Strange bug for me where AP wants to start off and stay in HDG mode - OR - will fly runway heading only. I have to tell it DIR-> waypoint to get it to follow LNAV. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

I cannot control the plane when on take off or landing. It veers off the runway and when I try to correct it - it makes it worse. Never had this issue with any aircraft on the game. I have the rudder connected to the tiller but still doesn’t work. Any suggestions?
Tiller settings also has an auto-disconnect, did you check that?

I'd say the Aerosoft one was a bit further developed, though a bit more buggy. It had more features and was better tailored to the customers needs, which of course is surely influenced by the fact that the Aerosoft one is fully developed by now and the iniBuilds one just a new release. Though I'm not too sure how many updates and feature additions we might see on this one seeing that it's just a Microsoft plane and customer influence (and thus sales numbers) probably won't matter that much.

There’s a click spot on the top and one on the bottom. Try the bottom one to pull them.
Hi, Is there a reason that Terrain on ND is not working? is it supposed to come later?
My guess is that they cut that corner because there was no ready-to-use database available. The simulators internal one that was used in past airplanes just doens't do the job of representing the system properly.

Hi, it should be included by default, only the cabin and high res outside model should be on marketplace. I belive xbox can't handle them and thus they are only available for PC.
In the A320, when do I Press the Nav and ILS button, do I have to turn the ILS or is it automatic
If you entered an approach in the FMS the ILS frequency should be autotuned.
