Awesome video, one of my favourite features of the ini A20N, despite it's other shortcomings. Thank you. Would love to see you take either ini A20N or the Fenix into Paro. Drukair have 1 A20N in their fleet I believe.
That would be awesome to see!
@@madmaxaviation He did one of the Paro RNAV apps in the 737 before, but would love to see one of the other approaches in an Airbus.
@@holobolo1661 agreed
This airport is one of my favorite , I spent a week there and you can even see an Emirates A380 doing this approach, that's an impressive sight
However, the inibuild documentation on page 13 states that this aircraft cannot perform RNP AR
You're one of a few who flys this bird and makes it look so easy. Nice job. Unfortunately for me, I was unsuccessful at flying an RNP approach into ENSB RW27. For some reason, the MCDU was unable to load in the correct arrival. Will have to wait for an update.
I believe there should be an L/DEV scale too for an approach less than RNP 0.3nm

Thank you so much! That's really apprechiated!
Incredible sound, RNAV capable and FOC! (Free of Charge).
Thanks for the video. Exactly the question I asked in your last video.
An a320 with F/A mode integrated! Finally! Hoping FBW and Horizon follow suit with implementation and hopefully inibuilds is open to sharing the code for this brilliant aircraft so that can happen. Am really excited to see if cockpit mods are coming to be able to import this excellent cockpit/avionics into other airbus family aircraft but well done inibuilds anyway!
I’d be very interested in an RNP AR tutorial for the 737, too!
I've found that it does this type of approach well too. Amazingly, there is nothing I can do to get the Fenix A320 to go into approach mode for these approaches.
It looks like there is an issue with the slope calculation, the chart says to overfly F22LZ at 2000ft exactly, but the VDEV makes you fly over it at 1600ft.
I also noticed quite a strong vertical upset when you extend the flaps 3/4 on this aircraft, the aircraft autopilot adjusts the attitude up to slow down rather than stay on slope. I noticed this when flying an ILS as well.
Hi captain, awesome video as always. Could you make a video on what to do if experiencing GPS jamming or spoofing?
Hard to describe as this isn't accurately simulated in any flight sim. However the Flightradar24 channel recently released a video about it from one of their flights they got to be in the cockpit for.
Yes it can I did the LPPR RNP35 today
on the xbox, why does this approach have different waypoints when i select the same one? in the turn to final it does not appear as a curved line on the ND, but two waypoints with straight lines (cant remember their id). Is this due to an incomplete set of data on the xbox?
Have tryed the rnp approach into qnzn, its in the fmc, but doesnt show on the flight plan, so have entered manually to make it work. Is this correct, can it only be entered manually??
By the way did you notice the L/Dev never came up in the PFD. Is that normal/acceptable. The Fenix does show L/DEV.
I tried to fly the RNAV 19 into KDCA but the autopilot disconnected before the turn to final. Inibuilds discord said the AP disconnects 50 feet below minimums. So I guess cheat and set minimums to zero or no mins?
So this RNP AR approach, it automatically descends the plane like ILS?
Hello Emanuel,
On the A350 there is the info RNP-AR on the PFD, right lower corner, in green color.
Is this info not availible on the A320 family?
Hey Emanuel. Great stufe again. Could you please do a Video about the different flight Levels. For example if you fly from DUS to HRG sometimes i forget if i could fly 350 or 360 instead. Regards
In RNP AR, we don't have Lateral Guidance??
I really enjoyed the addition of the tablet especially as I signed up to simbrief and also the long checklist. Once I took off from Gatwick to Belfast my autopilot took me towards France, any ideas what went wrong? I tried a few times and the flight plan was correct
Hi Emanuel, since today there is no way I can switch on the FCU from switched to managed on my PC. Is this a bug?
Is the lateral movement and weathervaning upon touchdown an issue with the sim in general?
I’ve not used her very much but seems a very solid plane for flights I have done. I don’t like the sounds but that’s subjective. Hopefully inibuilds will put out some updates to take care of usual bugs plus I like few fps back as seems a bit of a hit on my pc. Thx for video plane should only get better
As long as you don't try anything fancy I think it works pretty well.
Good to see it’s able to fly this procedure. However, I wanted to see how much it took to brake the aircraft so I simulated an engine 1 failure at around 2000ft once climb power was set and the aircraft yawed violently to the left and was impossible to save. I had absolutely no control on the ailerons or even the rudder which I feel shouldn’t be the case even for a default aircraft…
What was your speed at? If it is low enough, a single engine at high thrust can cause a spin.
@@josephkrol8330I’m not 100% sure but let’s say around 160kts. As I didn’t have much time I only did it with the ini but I’ll try it with the fenix and FBW when I have a bit more time.
Quick Question, A/THR can manage Thrust without beeing in CLB Detent? I think you were not in Detent, i usually get errors on Fenix
Emanuel, from your video yesterday: "I couldn’t see any issue yet. Sure it’s not the same as a 777 in TOGA but it seems fine.", "apart from that (referring to the freeze you got), the airplane performed perfectly", and "there's nothing to complain about".
I think you need to do more testing. People are complaining that it takes them the entire runway to take off. Here is the reason for this: in this model, runway length impacts V1, VR and V2. In the real one, everything else remaining equal, only V1 is impacted. This is important because this has the effect of delaying rotation. In your video, you didn't notice too much because you took off from 06R which is a relatively short(ish) runway, so the model didn't increase your VR too much (135kt). If you had taken off from 06L instead, which has a longer TORA, the model would have increased your VR to 150kt (which is of course wrong) and you would have rotated even closer to the end of the runway. Try it !
In fact, you can see for yourself that you rotated dangerously close to the end of the runway.
My understanding is that this was flagged during the beta and for some reasons Inbuild decided not to improve it. A shame. This plane should have never been released in its present state.
Well but runway length *does* impact ALL takeoff speeds. If your runway is longer you can choose a higher Vr and V2, thus creating a better climb performance because you have more lift, enabling a steeper gradient. There is nothing wrong with rotating close to the end of the runway. The screen height - the height above the end of the runway you must be able to achieve while maintaining V2 - is 35ft. 15ft if the runway is wet. The ini A320neo easily manages to get that with the calculated speeds. I think I'll have to do a video with a bit of performance theory in there - and if we're on it already I might as well put them to the flight test ;-)
@@A330Driver Emanuel thanks for the reply. If you could do a video specifically on this aircraft performance I think this would be great, but may be in your next video featuring this aircraft you can simply - if you think about it - pay extra attention to the way this aircraft accelerates. To me and a number of people we think it feels underpowered, but none of us flies the A320 so...
Can you try say intentions AI? it is an arc program, a copilot, and a tour guide. Can you try the tour guide as well? Also, in the same video, can you use luke air tool and download american airlines announcements for it including stand by for all call?
How would you compare it to the FBW?
Could you try one with BATC as well?
Thx for your video. I see meteo radar on ? Is it efficient with activesky ?
It's just a visual gimmick, doens't provide any useful information.
Yes or No?
When do you use Baro minimums and when radio?
Radio for precision approaches like ILS CAT II/III and baro for non-precision approaches like RNAV (GPS). Use baro unless the minimums state RA.
hi there, I’ve tried the ini a320 and I didn’t really like the following points:
- the sounds are awful
- the v speeds seem incredibly high compared to those i’m used to in the fenix and fbw
- the takeoff run seems to long (ed emmanuel pointed out)
- the flight dynamics seem a bit different from the fbw and the fenix
personally i think I still prefer the fbw over the ini, but what I like about the Ini is the sec flight plan, ga around procedure and those features that are still missing in the fbw. and of course the better textures
The FBW cannot do RNAV approaches at all.
@@holobolo1661 yes, good point
@@holobolo1661I mean, it cannot insofar as you cannot press the APPR. You can still make it fly the same course and altitudes by setting your altitude to the MDH and then flying it in DES mode and it’ll still do the same.
Idk man, even with these flaws i still consider de ini320 wayyy better than the fbw.
@@Angel33Demon666 Sure, you can do that in the sim. But that's not an RNAV approach mode though, that's LNAV and VNAV. There are different tolerances and it may not fly it accurately. 320SP has a good tutorial on approximating an RNAV procedure using FPV and raw data.
How to close the alarm after disengage auto pilot?
Just press the AP disengage button one more time.
@@rocketrose7775 I did but non stop
@@lalajohnanagnostis you should use the red button on the sidestick to disconnect the AP. Press one time: AP disconnect. Second time: cancels the alarm. The AP button on the autopilot panel is used to engage the autopilot only.
This was NOT a RNP AR APPR ! You have probably no idea how it works on A320 Neo…
Time to learn how to read a chart, my friend. I recommend to start about 40 seconds into the video.
By the way, everyone! Has anyone noticed how amazing strobe lights are looking on the inibuilds A32N? Much more impressive with reflections on the wing. Definitely a plus compared to allready very good looking Fenix lights.
Please take a look on the new bravoairspace 787 mod. It looks awsome !
Nice. Did this one yesterday 😂
a320neo still issue with controller
throw to trash
Maybe he must not have flown with a friendly controller 😅
