    After the video I messed around with the torch. I was able to attach the bottle to the torch head so that the bottle rests on the table.

    Awesome Video Andy, Well done!!!! That machine gives us all another option to get a more affordable annealing machine!!! Very interesting and informative!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👌

      I really like this machine. I like the Annealeez ver 2 also. I have both. The new version of the Anneallez ver 3 I do not like the free standing torch.

    Hi Andy. thank you for your review. please try not to bend the torch bar, a small trick : ) you can just install the torch holder upside down and you will get the flame a lot closer to the brass. by the way, the pouch is a gift from us for you to store your rifle bolt. Regards Cheng- the guy who designs and makes the ugly annealer.

      WOW good to know you are watching you tube. I love your machine. Lots of people bought your machine from Amazon the day I announced I was buying it. there were 12 in stock when I ordered it. 3 hours later they were sold out. I will try changing the torch holder to upside down. But the torch head was touching the wheel and I could not get the flame to hit the brass where it should be. Maybe the wheel was set to far forward. I have to check it out more. Thanks for your time. I also subscribed to your channel.

      @@andy79z28 The rotation wheel can be adjusted into any position for your convenience. we normally expose a bit more below shoulder. Just fiddle a bit more and I am 100% sure you will find the best positions and settngs. It will work. this is my private youtube account. This one has pluses and minuses comparing it to the Annealeeze. I just got the Annealeeze 2, and I'm not happy with the torch setup, being free to be bumped. I wish they had kept the fixed torch like the Ugly Annealer.
    Good review, Andy 👍

    • @andy79z28
      @andy79z28  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like you have the version 3 - not a fixed torch. I have the version 2 and it has the fixed torch.

    • @Jerry-dk8se
      @Jerry-dk8se 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@andy79z28 I could have sworn, when I ordered it, the designation was version 2? Either way, the torch could be bumped and get off target. That's my biggest complaint about my Annealeeze.

      Fun part is the ugly has separate bottle mount if desired …. LOL … The Ugly beats up my Gen1 Annealeez

  • @infobros
    @infobros 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thanks "Zinc Master" Andy. Great job explaining how it works and all the adjustments. I really like the addition of the extra inserts for the various caliber cases. I've been wanting one of these things since I first saw the Annealeaze machine, but I still think I'll have to wait till the price comes down a bit. Maybe a few more competitors will enter the market and lower the price point, at least I hope so. Otherwise, I'm just going to have to keep up the old school drill motor method for a couple more years till I retire and can get out to shoot more.

    • @andy79z28
      @andy79z28  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do not think the prices will come down. But it really depends on how much brass you have to process. I process all my brass at the end of my shooting season. So it is a lot to do.

    It would have been handy if they would have provided an actual readout in seconds for the 'brass in the flame timing'.

    • @ewetho
      @ewetho ปีที่แล้ว

      Irrelevant really, each number is way less than a second and depending on temp, bottle pressure etc… you will vary a bit. Just use the reference number provided bigger is faster… log that for your brass and readjust as necessary. In the end weather the time is in seconds or some arbitrary number is largely moot…

    DON’T USE TEMPILAQ! Instead read the Engineer’s Handbook about annealing single phase metals. Cherry red in a dark room for the whole neck through the shoulder and just into the case body is whats needed to effectively anneal work hardened brass. Ensuring that it passes up through the re-crystallisation temperature and into a phase where the crystals can join and grow and thus anneal the metal and remove the built up stress.

    I used the annealeez but decided on the ugly annealer. The diamond coated wheels were the best selling point for me. I was getting a lot of cases slipping with the annealeez.

    • @andy79z28
      @andy79z28  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good video. If you run the machine at 100% to set the torch NO brass loss. Let the torch warm up for about 30 seconds, to stabilize. I use a hose to a 10lb bottle keeps the pressure more stable. And also like having the blue tip on the "shoulder shell junction" this gives me more constant bump back.

    It is a great annealer. You don't have to buy a bunch of upgrades like others and the fact the wheels are metal you don't have to worry about burning an damaging them. I have this annealer and after hours of research it is definitely the best bang for the buck.

    • @andy79z28

      Just used it today to anneal cut down 223 to 300 BO. Anneal before I from the brass. Makes for better case forming.

    Andy79Z28 have you ever removed the discharge ramp and tried a dual torch setup? I tried the TS8000 Bernzomatic but flame front was tooooo large but dropped 444 marlin time from 40 to 75 so almost twice as fast… wheels did not get hot but was little scary… I think I am gonna try removing the ramp and use a tray under the wheels to catch brass and try the second torch with extra bottle stand….. hmmmmmmmmm

    • @andy79z28
      @andy79z28  ปีที่แล้ว

      No never tried that. It works great the way it is. Time is not an issue - while it is running I am doing other things. I do normally do large batches 300-500 at a time when I use it.
