Im a huge Suzuki fan and this model has great styling and packaging. Probably the best looking in it's class. Great around town but at Johannesburg altitude on the open road it's a slug. Three people and luggage and it's difficult to keep up with other vehicles because of the lack of torque. Definitely not going to replace my previous gen with this one... Sadly

My son, who bought the GLX, said it is no problem to keep up with the traffic on the highway with the whole family on board. The cruise control works well here.

I thought that the Fronx replaces the brezza seeing as they are priced similarly and with more similar spec 😮

What do you think of this compared to the Corolla Cross? it's only a couple ten thousand rand more, less cool tech and efficiency but much more car and power, I feel like I would rather go home with that as I think it would be more practical to live with. (apparently the new price for the xi model is now R404k but I've seen many 2023 demo models at Toyota dealerships for under 375k)

Both of them are equally as reliable but the 1.8L Cross has slightly more power(103kW) and 172nm of torque when comparing to the Grand Vitara which only has a 1.5L NA engine with 77kW and 138nm of torque(which this car is), that's the old fashioned one. The mild-hybrid I think has 77kW and 137nm of torque with a 6 speed auto but way more expensive than the Corolla Cross.
Best to test drive both of them to see which is best but from my point of view the Cross would be the better choice

The lack of torque is my issue. Changing gears for any slight hill and a slug for overtaking. Love it but not for me because of the power/torque issue.

Was literally asking myself the same question here about the C Cross. I think for fuel efficiency purposes, I might still go for the G Vitara. Not bothered by the lower power figures. Really depends what car you replacing to get this. I'm going from an Hyundai i10 which has way less power than this.

Hello Mr R, is it possible to make a stand alone video of someone that is into cars and that wants to do reviews on cars like yours. I'm very interested in doing like that has a hobby. Thank you so much
