I love this show. It's really good. This is my first time learning about it. The charming Peter Barton on the other hand totally brightens up the show more than anybody else in it.
I never watched this show back in the day, and I am really enjoying this episodes. A really good show. These days the new shows could take a lesson from shows like this...they are actually entertaining!
Thank you for posting. Fun show, they do not take themselves too seriously. Met Gene Barry at Valley Presbyterian Hospita. in Van Nuys, CA., late 80's. Was not disappointed, he was very charming. Happy viewing from Las Vega, NV August 31, 2018
Wow That must have been quite a treat to me such a great actor somebody else I spoke to on TH-cam also met Gene Barry they said he was a very sweet man. After watching all the Burke's law episodes I feel like I know him myself wish I had met him in person.
It was great to see Steve Lawrence. He was a great singer along with his wife Eydie. And a very good actor. Hope he is doing well with today with his alz disease.
Another doggone murder. I've got a bone to pick with you. He's with a very important client ;) Are you saying we're barking up the wrong tree? *Cute episode.*
When this show originally aired on CBS, I was working 2nd shift so I was not able to watch. Now I have seen most of the episodes and I liked them all. I guess I'm into "whodunits", especially when the guest stars are famous celebrities.
Then, make sure you watch the original, from the 60s, esp. the first season. This series is ok, but that first season... Amazing! Much more nuanced and savvy.
Dusty Rhodes The American Dream. Steve Lawrence a great actor and singer with his late wife. Sable Colby wow . Great episode. Mr van patten was a child star play on a show called the Goldbergs different but one of the lonest running shows from radio to television.
I remember Mr Van Patten as the father on Eight is Enough. Back in those days there were two lovely Morgans, Brittany and Fairchild. As for the wrestling, I recall Hulk Hogan, Randy the Macho Man Savage, Jake the Snake Roberts, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The Ultimate Warrior, Ravishing Rick Rude, Brutus the Barber Beefcake, Andre the Giant, Greg the Hammer Valentine, Mr Perfect Kurt Hennig, The Hart Foundation (Bret the Hitman and Jim the Anvil Neidhart), Honky Tonk Man, Koko B Ware, Ax and Smash of Demolition, Bambam Bigelow, Shawn Michaels, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and the Bushwackers. Hosted by Vince McMahon and Jesse The Body Ventura. Hope that brings back some memories for somebody, LOL.
Dick Van Patten was a pet advocate, gave to dog charities and guide dog training facilities, and started a very successful natural dog food company long before it became the au courant thing for celebrities to do.
Jack Russell's are really bright, cute, and when trained, they'll steal every scene they're in. The doggie did that here as did the Jack Russell in Fraser...and this was a solid episode, wiith the late, great Dusty Rhodes, no less!
Yeah, like it was the actors fault. SHEESH. That was the director's fault and should have been noticed. That said, I didn't notice, but if I had, it would have got under my skin as well.
SPOILERS! Peter should have stuck more with that model in the end, once she was proven to be innocent of the murder. She's cute, she's clearly into him, and he seemed quite interested in her too.
First episode I've seen where Peter didn't beat the Macho Man at his own game. Why didn't he fight Dusty Rhode? They could have written it in but the ego of any wrestler wouldn't play that part... 😆 😆 😆
...THERE''s YOUR PROOF ...""C-R-i-M-E-""...does ...$$$ pay...NOW YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO ...your $$$ money after they ...LOCK ...you ...Up...!!!???...
Wowee! Get a load of that set of top drawers when the dame gets out of the sand. Anyone want to argue about "woman's natural role"? I rest my case on that. Haw haw.
I have never seen this series before but now I think this show is a winner
Bark, bark.
This is one of the best episodes! Skippy really stole the show!
Loving the darling Jack Russell !!
Is he the same cute canine who portrayed Wishbone?
I love this show. It's really good. This is my first time learning about it. The charming Peter Barton on the other hand totally brightens up the show more than anybody else in it.
Fun episode. Serious star power here and I loved Stephanie Beecham.

Thank you for sharing this series! At 55, I remember this show well (awww....the memories of the good old days)!
🎅Merry🌲Christmas ☃️!!
It must have been an exceptional meet...you keep writing this on almost every episode
Peter was so gentle to Skippy. If I was that dog I would want to stay with him.
A dog barking at the killer ?? What we need are more dogs in the world !
It was great to see Steve Lawrence. He was a great singer along with his wife Eydie. And a very good actor. Hope he is doing well with today with his alz disease.
I can't remember the last time I saw Dusty Rhodes!!!! Taking me back to the early WWE days. What a trip down memory lane! lol.
Aww! Look at those puppies.
The dog puns and double entendres, tho! Hilarious.
🤣
Yup, they had my tail wagging😂
They should have made a TV show around Vinny, aka Dom DeLuise. He is hilarious in this show.
This was one of my favorite episodes, enjoyed,it was fun!!!!!!
Great show love these classic shows ❤😊
The dog 🐕 is adorable
Since TH-cam recommended me this series I remembered seeing it years ago in Israel
Gonna watch all episodes 😌🤗🙏💥☄👏🇮🇱
This is my favorite episode because of Skippy! What an adorable and smart dog! I saw that his real name is Barkley.
Still laughing, Barkley🤣
Good episode love the dogs!!!!
Another doggone murder. I've got a bone to pick with you.
He's with a very important client ;)
Are you saying we're barking up the wrong tree?
*Cute episode.*
Thanks for posting love the show

@@Tht1Gy I actually have. I recognized Gary Conway, who would later star in Land of the Giants.
Dusty Rhodes The American Dream. Steve Lawrence a great actor and singer with his late wife. Sable Colby wow . Great episode. Mr van patten was a child star play on a show called the Goldbergs different but one of the lonest running shows from radio to television.
Did you see the one with all the soap Stars ?? XD
I didn't know he was on the Goldbergs. I'll have to check it out-- that was a cute show- the ladies talking to each other out their windows
When I saw that Dusty Rhodes was in this episode, I thought to myself I wonder what his old friends like Ric Flair or Ted Dibiase would be saying.

"Take her for a walk Peter." Now that was kinda funny!
I like Burke's Law great Show
Love Dusty Rhodes, he was a very talented man on the screen and in the squared circle.
Morgan Brittany starred in the original Burke's Law under her real name Suzanne Cupito in the episode "Who Killed Mother Goose".
Neat.
Yes, and even then as a child star it was very obvious she was going to be a looker when she grew up-
The first time she was after Dad. Now she's after the son.
Isn't the actor who's playing Peter also playing Eddie in Sunset Beach?
Thank you so much for typing this comment. I knew she looked like that little girl from that episode.
Dusty Rhodes!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!! The American Dream!
Christian Nyby directed the original 'The Thing from Another World' (heavily influenced by Howard Hawks). His son directed this episode.
18:26 I couldn't stop laughing. They looked dumbfounded
love this kinda show
♥️ me to
Chief Burke is a great cop, but a horrible punster
Jack Russell's are really bright, cute, and when trained, they'll steal every scene they're in. The doggie did that here as did the Jack Russell in Fraser...and this was a solid episode, wiith the late, great Dusty Rhodes, no less!
Love the dog
41:46 she is missing an earring…
While Dusty Rhodes was filming this episode, WCW Slamboree 94 was taking place and Dusty was in the WCW at the time.
Skippy broke my heart when his heart was broken.
And the puns never end with this show.
I know 😩😩😩
Epochal Eclipse April 8th 2024.
Great episode
Wish I had seen thiscseries. It had the best looking actors !
Peter Barton is such a gentleman. One of my fans Karen Elizabeth Palmer is deeply into him.
I think they did this episode so they could fit in as many corny dog jokes and sayings that they could! 😂 and some cat jokes too!
Skippy's master needs a smaller size suit!
😂😂😂
Thanks for the Upload !! XD
I love skppy
Mistake, When Peter pulled up and parked, he left the keys in the jeep. A cop would know better
Hey. Cool your jet. The handsome Peter just made a mistake.
Yeah, like it was the actors fault. SHEESH. That was the director's fault and should have been noticed. That said, I didn't notice, but if I had, it would have got under my skin as well.
Skippy is adorable!
Love the puns!
Well 24 good episodes and this one
What a cute doggy
This show was so “punny”.
Dusty Rhodes - 😃😃
SPOILERS!
Peter should have stuck more with that model in the end, once she was proven to be innocent of the murder. She's cute, she's clearly into him, and he seemed quite interested in her too.
Peter is always into the side attraction thrown into every episode especially the suspects
I'm surprised Dusty Rhodes didn't do more TV and movies.
Anyone know if that's Buff Bagwell in the ring with him??
Yes, and Brian Pillman.
Gene Barry aged very well
At the opening who is that playing Tom Keats, Skippy's Master is that Mark DeCarlo
Typically, they list the deceased in the end credits if not listed in the beginning credits.
Alec Berg.
...but...@...4:24...the '''AMERICAN-DREAM-(DUSTY-RHODES-)-...(R.I.P.)-...so when was this EPISODE""-...taped...
Episode aired in US on 6th May 1994 but was probably recorded in 1993.
At 34:24 there was a man standing on the roof across the way n looking at the house they were in. Rather strange.
Little Suzi Cupito all grown up!
This was some real doggerel here.
woof!
I love skippy a cute dog.....
Is that dog from the PBS show wishborne?
Keyuantie Lyons No, Wishbone was a Jack Russell terrier, like Eddie on “Frasier”.
OMG!!! That tree at 3:17 is h-u-g-e! And beautiful!!
This show must be crowned "King of the Puns," some of which are incredibly corny!
Pro Wrestler Dusty Rhodes an actor ??? lol
what is it with the woman voice in the beginning: Its Burke's Law ? is this a detective soap or a kamasutra episode lol
Dusty the american dream Rhodes
Gee... how can Skippy embrace his dead owner? Awesome...
How old was skippy??
The lady with the English accent looks like Kylie Jenner, or rather, Kylie Jenner looks like her.
One question y'all. Is Peter Barton in all of the seasons of this show?
Yep.
First episode I've seen where Peter didn't beat the Macho Man at his own game. Why didn't he fight Dusty Rhode? They could have written it in but the ego of any wrestler wouldn't play that part... 😆 😆 😆
WWE Hall of Famer (The Late Great) "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes Father of Dustin "Goldust" Rhodes and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes
Morgan Brittany looked great in a bikini!
...DAMNNNN...''VirgiL-RiLey-RunneLs-''...i THINK i would have CHANGED my name ...too...(R.i.P.)-...@june 11TH-2015...
So, are the bad puns getting worse or was just this episode? It seemed that all, or almost all, of Berry's lines were some kind of dog cliché.
A lot of money for a cop.
I knew it yep 👍
Stephanie Beecham's false posh voice is always OTT but she really took it too far in this one.
I wonder if actors, especially stars, get extra pay for letting animals lick all over their faces? 😝😖
The only non actor in the show and he stole it hands oops pass down!
This episode is much Punier than usual. ha ha (sorry)
How does a police officer afford a Rolls and a butler?
i think he was from a rich family.
In an episode of the original series Capt. Burke said he inherited his money from his grandmother.
He had a very rich daddy. He then caught the cop bug and never got over it.
He is a Trust fund baby Lots of FAMILY Money I believe lol
...THERE''s YOUR PROOF ...""C-R-i-M-E-""...does ...$$$ pay...NOW YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO ...your $$$ money after they ...LOCK ...you ...Up...!!!???...
Every episode....I hated him or her but I didn't kill him or her
Wishbone!!
2:00 Tom Cruise? When I heard that, I knew something was wrong. I wanted to watch the old Burke's Law.
Dafuq
Its season 5 and 6 and a great format
@@davidarcudi230 I am sure it's fine. I was just looking for the old black and whites from years ago.
Don’t believe this was as good as the original.
Is the old version on TH-cam? What's the name
10:00 no woman speaks like that!
She does if it's someone who looks like Peter Barton.
Iris McKay Dylan's mom.
Wowee! Get a load of that set of top drawers when the dame gets out of the sand. Anyone want to argue about "woman's natural role"? I rest my case on that. Haw haw.
Who plays the victim?
I believe Mark De Carlo played Tom Keats. His name was mentioned during the end credits.
Åsa graciachty chattnninng royala
What was up with Peter Bartons hair.. Is it fake? It's so thick and flat, died brown. Ick.
Gene Barry; so low energy!!!!!
He was in his mid-70’s then.

Poor script + weak guest stars minus Skippy & Dom DeLuise = bad tv episode.
Horrible writing. Lots of over acting. The premise is unreal.
