Hi rosebuds,
I haven't spoken about the shootings that have been happening in increasing numbers across the United States (and in other places of the world too), because I didn't know how to express my frustration with them. Sometimes I feel like we're living in a nightmare, where the cycle of gun violence has no end in sight. We turn on the news, witness horrible events, send our thoughts and prayers, but nothing ends up changing. At the same time, I realize that I’ve been part of the complacency around this critical issue.
This is a song I wrote in honor of Gun Violence Awareness Month. When this song earns $500 in royalties, I will be donating $250 to the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation (a charity that supports education on gun violence awareness in schools to prevent gun violence). You can help me reach this goal by listening to the song on streaming platforms, or purchasing the song at the link above.
Once this goal is reached, I’ll set a new goal and a new organization to donate to.

Thank you...I come to school keeping in mind the entire possibility of that. I've always been weary of school because of that. Mostly because of the fake drills and just hiding in a corner of a dark and closed classroom won't do ANYTHING. It gives me anxiety how much the killer could do anything to get in and get violent. It's as if we're waiting to get killed before we get to actual safety. As if our fate is already set in stone because of how slow time is going with it. I strongly think that schools should at least have a better way to hide if it's going to keep on happening. It better not.
It's terrifying to hear the everyday victims of gun violence on TV or radio. It really happens every single day. This song is the perfect description of how much people suffer, and I loved it!
We should all be thankful for living in the peaceful country. And having our mom & dads beside us.

In the position of a child in a single mother family, for me this song really has to say that it is so beautiful and touching, for me, my mother is like everything to me.
