I feel like he really undersold the Poxwalkers. Their stratagems are pretty powerful, if they're in harbingers you can combine 2 strats so that a squad of 20 will cause about 11-12 mortal wounds. Even a squad of 10 would do 6 which would be enough to destroy lots of characters. Also, the resurrection strat can give you some free movement to snipe an objective.
And they are a cheap unit that is hard to remove, them not having an armor save is not that bad considering their feel no pain. Its basically like a 6++ invuln against damage 1 weapons, combine that with a toughness of 4 compared to the standard 3 AND their immunity to morale makes them WAY harder to kill than your standard throwaway troops. Yes they dont have shooting and their combat sucks if you dont use stratagems, but the pure existence of that mortal wound stratagem turns them from a unit thats annoying to remove if theyre on an objective, to something your opponent needs to be actively afraid of.

Its S+, and Poxwalkers are atleast A tier, Probably S tier aswell. 50 points for 10 poxwalkers, super cheap obsec unit for an mostly elite army. And great strats. I think he's just really new to DG in general.

Pox are always underestimated ... it is crazy ! Their stratagems are pure gold and in Terminus Est lists they act like fodder cannon and can just wrap entire ennemy army letting all DG Marines and Deathshroud doing the job from behind
7:47 fugaris’ helm does not boost contagions as they are specifically not auras. 12:32 Sigil of decay only effects bolt weapons, not plague weapons. 13:23 Diseased minions rule is 1 unit of poxwalkers and cultists for each core infantry, not just plague marines. 24:46 Max squad of deathsroud is 6, not 5. 1 champion and 2-5 deathshroud. Using 5" move as a downside inconsistently is kind of strange, especially as that's the norm for death guard and shouldn't be a downside at all. Not mentioning the entropy cannons for pbc is strange. They are the most improved weapon and are real good with d3+3 damage and plague weapon and hit on 3+ now. Not even mentioned.

Missing out on Revolting stench Vats is a huge oofff for the Foul BlightSpawn, which makes him S-tier. It gives everything he was moaning about in this video regarding it, I think these videos would benefit from looking at all the codex and relics rather than just the units, but it's an easy thing to miss out on and everything else was mostly on point. Actually he's making a lot of bad mistakes this codex, he got the Tallyman's ability wrong as well. Kind of sloppy as a whole, not bad but not a 100% resource.

If we're being fair - the Adepta Sororitas have had 5 new model reveals within the last two months, and it would be rather annoying for them to release an extended video like this just for it to be immediately outdated, five times over. It's more likely that they'll wait until AT LEAST the codex releases for the Sisters because theirs is likely coming soon after all the model drops.
You can take 1 Poxwalker/Cultist unit per 1 Bubotic Astartes unit. So you can take fex. 2 poxwalker units and 1 or 2 blightlord units or 1 or 2 deathshroud units in detachment.
The pox walkers don't require specifically the plague marines, they need bubonic astartes that are core, and infantry. So you can satisfy the requirements to take poxwalkers with any of the following: Plague Marines Blightlord Terminators Death Guard Possessed Deathshroud Terminators
Why is your info so wrong? You can take a poxwalker or cultist unit for EACH core Infantry unit you take IE plague marines, deathshrouds, or blight lord terminators. Tallyman let's you roll 2d6 in your command phase and if its a 7+ you get a command point. I want to enjoy your content but you guys keep putting out so much info thats wrong :(
Yeah, I don't understand how he plays death guard and gets so much info wrong. I'm by no means an "akshually" kind of person that points stuff out, and I'm also not a pro player and get rules wrong in game often, but when writing a script and you have the book and a bunch of info at your disposal, you'd want to get the info correct.

Undersold the Daemon Prince. Yeah, he's not objectively the beatstick that he was, but with the new Deathshroud rules, he's actually a fantastic target for Flash Outbreak/Gift of Plagues plays. Throwing your contagion forward is extremely important for Death Guard, our AP is not great so we need good volume of wounds to compensate, and/or mortal wounds. Which, coincidentally, the Daemon Prince is ALSO good at. Throw Curse of the Leper on him, and target things inside your contagion range, and watch yourself pop like five mortal wounds on a squad of Bladeguard. It's not a joke. On top of that, he becomes something you can't shoot at because you can put him in front of your Deathshroud, and he's definitely something you don't want to charge either because he's a fricking Daemon Prince. Convincing armies to get close to you or getting close to other armies is the entire game for Death Guard, and the Daemon Prince is good at that role. Don't get trapped into that 8th edition mindset, this isn't really a killing army. EDIT: WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT. Did I just hear this man put the Foul Blightspawn in *B TIER*? Foul Blightspawn is one of the top 3 models *in the entire game*, forget the Death Guard Codex. Revolting Stenchvats is a *ridiculous* relic, he can advance and shoot an extremely high value flamer, you can pair him with a squad of Deathshroud and just threaten a fight last + flamer overwatch + Deathshroud counterstrike. Everything I am about to say is in a competitive, tournament context. No joke, plague marines and poxwalkers should be switched. Pox walkers are one of the best units in the codex for playing the primary. They are so cheap, so annoying to remove at toughness 4, and flood the board with obsec bodies. Plague marines just die without an invul, and are way more expensive. For 5 plague marines, you can have 21 poxwalkers. Those poxies will do more and survive longer. Foul blightspawn is S tier because of the relic. Does exactly what you said you wished it had (6" aura), and with a S8, ap-3, damage 2 weapon its no joke. Rest of the tier list is probably fine. Also, you dont have to take rhinos if you dont take plague marines. My tourney lists are running min sized termy squads, with maxed sized poxwalkers. Does more damage and pushes objectives harder than a list with marines.
Unless GW changed it and correct me if I’m wrong. If you take DG terminations, they do have the CORE keyword and that means you can take more poxwalkers.
Foul Blightspawn and Malignant Plaguecaster in B-tier? Poxwalkers in C-tier? Are you joking? Malignant Plaguecaster is at least a middle A-tier due to mortal wound spam, Foul Blightspawn is literally an auto-include with the Stench Vats relic and is arguably the best user of the Deadly Pathogens in the entire army so S-tier, maybe a high-A tier without the relic. Poxwalkers are B-tier because you're paying 5 points for a T4 model, they're not stellar at anything because they're literally just zombies. They're meant to screen your better units, hold backline objectives and tie down things in combat if they get the chance to. Also why are you marking down units for moving slowly? It's the Death Guard, the entire army (bar the Daemon Prince with Wings, some vehicles and of course Morty) is super slow. It's like marking down T'au for being awful in melee or Chaos Daemons for not having any decent shooting, you're not picking them to be fast you're picking them because they'll take pretty much anything your opponent has to offer and still keep going.
The guy seems to be in a time loop where he is mixing in old 8th rules. The plaguecaster is 12" for mortal wounds not 6. Think he should have played some games with them or actually had a look at the codex before writing the script because most of the info isn't that useful at all
Pox walkers and cultists can be deployed for any core infantry unit in your detachment. You can deploy 1 pox walker unit AND 1 cultist unit for each plague marine OR terminator unit in your detachment.
Sorry Demeki. I love ya man but putting a DG Daemon Prince in B-tier is just fucking stupid. I play against DG near enough every week atm (times of virus) and the Daemon Price is one of the best character in the army (not including Morty). There's some amazing relic and warlord combos for a daemon prince that either make him a tank or a beatstick, and being less than 10 wounds so having look out sir they are just amazing.

I love these videos, but as a long time DG player I just had to chime in in with a few rules mistakes or combos that I think you missed (I'm so sorry this is long lol hopefully you enjoy the tips and tricks tho): 1. The Plaguecaster causes mortals within 12 inches on a 7+ to cast, not a 6" aura. It used to be a 7" aura, but the buff to 12 is way better now, effectively giving him 1+d3 mortals in a smite. 2. Contagions are not auras. In the rules for Contagion abilities, it specifically says that while they may feel like auras, they are not auras and can not be "affected by abilities that affect Aura abilities, and vice-versa." This means you can not give the Fugaris Helm to a Lord of Contagion to buff the aura by 6 inches. 3. A Foul Blightspawn with his relic, Revolting Stench-Vats, is one of the most powerful units in the game right now. It affects ALL enemy units in range and makes them count as not charging, which means they still fight second in the fight phase, and they don't get any abilities that trigger on charging like Shock Assault or other abilities like it. Basically he makes your lines almost impossible to charge, and you can buff that to a 12 inch RADIUS with the Ferryman strat, On Droning Wings. On top of that, he has a strong plague spewer that got buffed to 12 inch range as well. You will always take 1, and he is probably S tier right now. I could sing praises about this guy all day lol 4. As other people have mentioned, zombies are very good right now. They are t4, fearless, can regenerate models 2 (or 3 if harbingers) diff ways without costing reinforcement points, and still count as objective secured. Most lists will have 2-3 squads of them, and Typhus only moderately buffs them, you don't really need him for them like you did in 8th. they also get contagions, so being st3 doesn't really hurt them as much since they're still wounding marines on 4s and other infantry on 3s. 5. Speaking of Typhus, holy crap this guy is good. For 165 points, you get a Lord of contagion mixed with a malignant plaguecaster for 2 powers, his blade is both the Manreaper and Plaguereaper combined for flat 3 damage or 12 small attacks, and he can be taken in any detachment without breaking plague companies. He also does mortal wounds on a 2+ to a unit close to him for a free Smite, and then he can Smite and Curse of the Leper that same units for ungodly amounts of mortal wounds. 6. The Tallyman does not give you CP anymore when you spend CP, but simply if you roll a 7+ on two dice EVERY Command phase, you get a CP for that battle round. It was probably supposed to be FAQ'd to be just one roll in your command phase, but GW didn't write it, so yeah now you effectively have a 75% chance to get an extra CP every round. On top of that, he has a relic that gives you extra hits on 6s to hit in an aura. This is cute on Plague Marines, good on Blightlord Terminators, and BROKEN AF ON TWIN VULKITE CULVERIN CONTEMPTORS. That gives you 16 shots, hitting on 2's, rerolling 1s, and exploding 6s to hit that do mortals from 45 inches away, and then they do flat 2 damage for funsies. wat 7. Blight drone with fleshmower is great, but not broken, I agree. However, I think you missed the strat that lets it heroically intervene within 6 inches. That gives you the ability to advance and fly them up, put them on an objective, and then just bully the objective all game by intervening into models trying to steal it. On top if that, they don't degrade anymore, so even with 1 wound left, they have 12 attacks hitting on 3s and healing with the other strat. You can also use the Flash Outbreak strat on them too since they'll be up front by the enemy. Great little front line bullies. But yeah, great video my dude. I wanted to spread the love with some combos and hopefully they help you win some future games :) Edit: I completely forgot, but the terrain piece isn't actually that bad. For 75 points, you get a t8 -1 to hit (with smokescreen strat) that gives all infantry a cover save around it, and the little pipes that come with it count as a separate terrain piece for the -1 to hit. So if you put some deathshroud behind the little pipes, they get a -1 to hit and a cover save. It isn't broken, but it's definitely better than some other terrain pieces out there.
Foul Blightspawn is the easiest S tier pick ever for me, give him the revolting stench vats and you have a 6" aura that stops units count as having charged or using fight first. So any "on charge" abilities get turned off (shock assault, repentia re-rolls), and you get to swing at them first. Run him in the Ferrymen and use their stratagem to make it 12" bubble of being basically unchargeable. Also worth putting viscous death on him making his plague sprayer S8 rerolling no. of shots
5 Deathshroud into baneblade if they pop +1 to hit and wound via strats (3 CP): 21 attacks, 17.5 hits, 13.5 wounds, 2 saves, so about 22-24 dmg, putting it on its last bracket. If you upgrade champions weapon to a relic or contagion weapon you'll kill it in 1 go on average. They cut through Dreadnoughts pretty reliably even with damage halved which is nuts.
A correction on the limit for Cultists & Poxwalkers: the limits are separate. If you have 2 squads of Plague Marines, you can have 2 squads of Cultists & 2 Squads of Pox Walkers.
Nice to see more content from you guys but I can't help but feel like this tier list belies a significant misunderstanding in how this army works. Poxwalkers C? FBS not near the top? Take a look at how some of the top DG lists are constructed and reconsider, please.
I'm always eager for opinions on DG units as a DG player myself, and I found your insight very helpful! I will say though that Plagueburst crawler might be a little stronger than you think. It is true that the D6 attacks can be hit or miss, but those entropy cannons can light some stuff up. I usually take two crawlers to ensure that they can be relied on for the damage, and they haven't disappointed me so far. Just camp them in the back objectives while your army marches up the field and punch holes in vehicles and infantry alike. You could probably field test something like that in TTS if you haven't tried two crawlers yet, but I'm sure it'll be worth at least a try. Overall, great list, and you reminded me I should probably run a plague surgeon in my list to slog with my termies while Mortarion soaks up the attention!
Some feedback from my POV: I know it's been picked up on a lot already, but the Foul Blightspawn and Tallyman reviews miss a lot of what makes them great, and why to take those units. The Poxwalkers should be A/S tier IMO as well, as their interaction with secondaries and strats (especially with Typhus and with certain plague companies, as well as the new Terminus Est detachment from the book of rust) make them SO GOOD. Foetid bloat drone with the fleshmower has 12 flat attacks. I know you mentioned "it get's extra" but it's not a case of exploding 6s or something, IT'S FLAT 12 ATTACKS AT AP-2 DAMAGE 2 AT S7. With the -1 toughness aura, that means it's essentially S8 against everything in the game except T8 stuff, so it's wounding everything in the game except T8 on 2s, rerolling 1s, because of it's plague weapon. It's an absolute beast and so durable. Plus, it can eat people and regain wounds, and heroically intervene 6". It's almost an auto include unless your list is skewing really heavily in some other direction.
I don't agree with your assessment of the plague caster based solely on the fact that his fallout ability is 12" not 6". I've noticed that you've said it several times in previous videos but it's been buffed since his 8th ed. sheet You think poxwalkers are lower than b tier? They can pump out mortal wounds, have obsec, and are cheap. You cannot perform actions with them as they have the mindless rules but also never take moral test. I jokingly said to myself "haha is he going to say the flesh mower is bad because it can't shoot?" And unironically that was pretty much his reason for putting them in b tier Even though they perform much better than blight haulers. I've tried using blight haulers in my games and man they're just so expensive. A plagueburst crawler does essentially the same thing except better for 35 points more. Whereas the flesh mower perform so incredibly well in melee. Absolutely dominated several units of repentia and managed to survive even despite the mortal wounds they can do

I've not played a game of 40k for a long time due to lockdown but I'm not sure I would ever rank half the units he has ranked as low as they are. I 100% agree on your assessment of the Foetid Bloat Drone though, friend. The melee version is an absolute fucking beast in combat and acts as a great contagion spreader too. I do think MBH's could be great if they just lowered the point cost of them slightly, though, maybe to 120-130 points.
Listen to this man. His Death Guard once won a tournament game against Tyranids off-stream. But for real, I've seen people get great use out of the Miasmic Malignifier. Like GeneralJannis in a recent battle report. I wouldn't be so quick to write it off completely. Ranking it below Land Raider infuriates the Papa at least.
personally, i like to take a terminator scorcerer in a wretched army (gives the dude 4 psychic max powers if you give him the right relics/warlord traits), drop it near an important enemy unit, and throw curse of the leper on it, if it doesnt imeditely nuke the thing, use smite or one of the other 3 psychic powers the boy has to finish it off
Miasmic Malignifier is amazing. It is hugely underrated. 75 pts to make a giant pain in the ass that ruins your opponent's deployment and sets up cloud of flies while boosting your shooting. I run it whenever I don't run Morty. It is the rare of example of a great fortification. It also can be deployed anywhere, so its not very hard to deploy like fortifications that don't have deep strike deployment. 12 8T wounds that ruin enemy deployment for 75 pts and it has a free flamer to boot. If they don't kill it (and again, its hard to kill) you get infantry onto it and they get light cover and -1 to be hit.
Good content as always :D However I do think you underestimated the daemon Prince and Poxwalkers, The former makes a better use of realics like the warp insect hive and WL traits like hulking physique while being protected by look out sir and Poxwalkers are a very good screening and objetive securing unit thats as cheap as the ground they came out of, good vid nontheless and hoping for the next one (BDSM elves pls)
The fortis blight drone should’ve been in A as it’s literally the only fast model in the army and the fleshmower offers an exceptional high output weapon.
Not sure he you missed it. The limit on pox walkers and cultist is per for each not for either so two units of your s tier death shroud terminators let’s you use pox walkers as your troop tax.

Try stacking 3 shooting helbrutes with a tally man with tollkeeper dakka. Get one brute to hit on 2’s. Then strat the other one for the +1 to hit and wound with exploding 6’s
I think this is a mostly fair tier-list of Death Guard as they are right now. I'd rank poxwalkers and the foul blightspawn higher but I agree with the rest. I'm actually kind of surprised Dameki put the Blight Haulers so high, not because I don't like them, I just figured everyone else hated them for being so many points now. I'd say 9 str 8 shots hitting on 3's is nothing to sneeze at and they have versatility since the missile launcher can switch modes. But again, 420 points for 3 is real pricey so I understand not many people use them in games nowadays.
Poxwalkers are S-tier. You don't need plague marines, you just need death guard core infantry, so terminators count too. What you get for 5 points is ridonkulous. Definitely one of the best 5 point models in the game. Poxwalker spam + terminators + contempors/PBC is probably the best DG list around right now.
Make the finale a 2 hour space marine tier list. Dare you.

Actually he's making a lot of bad mistakes this codex, he got the Tallyman's ability wrong as well. Kind of sloppy as a whole, not bad but not a 100% resource.

If we're being fair - the Adepta Sororitas have had 5 new model reveals within the last two months, and it would be rather annoying for them to release an extended video like this just for it to be immediately outdated, five times over. You can take 1 Poxwalker/Cultist unit per 1 Bubotic Astartes unit. So you can take fex. 2 poxwalker units and 1 or 2 blightlord units or 1 or 2 deathshroud units in detachment.
The pox walkers don't require specifically the plague marines, they need bubonic astartes that are core, and infantry.
So you can satisfy the requirements to take poxwalkers with any of the following:
Plague Marines
Blightlord Terminators
Death Guard Possessed
Deathshroud Terminators

Why is your info so wrong? You can take a poxwalker or cultist unit for EACH core Infantry unit you take IE plague marines, deathshrouds, or blight lord terminators.
Tallyman let's you roll 2d6 in your command phase and if its a 7+ you get a command point.

Yeah, I don't understand how he plays death guard and gets so much info wrong. I'm by no means an "akshually" kind of person that points stuff out, and I'm also not a pro player and get rules wrong in game often, but when writing a script and you have the book and a bunch of info at your disposal, you'd want to get the info correct.
Tallyman lets you do it in both yours and your opponents command phase as it is written. It does not say "your"

Undersold the Daemon Prince. Yeah, he's not objectively the beatstick that he was, but with the new Deathshroud rules, he's actually a fantastic target for Flash Outbreak/Gift of Plagues plays. Throwing your contagion forward is extremely important for Death Guard, our AP is not great so we need good volume of wounds to compensate, and/or mortal wounds. Which, coincidentally, the Daemon Prince is ALSO good at. Throw Curse of the Leper on him, and target things inside your contagion range, and watch yourself pop like five mortal wounds on a squad of Bladeguard. It's not a joke. On top of that, he becomes something you can't shoot at because you can put him in front of your Deathshroud, and he's definitely something you don't want to charge either because he's a fricking Daemon Prince.
Convincing armies to get close to you or getting close to other armies is the entire game for Death Guard, and the Daemon Prince is good at that role. Don't get trapped into that 8th edition mindset, this isn't really a killing army.
EDIT: WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT. Did I just hear this man put the Foul Blightspawn in *B TIER*? Foul Blightspawn is one of the top 3 models *in the entire game*, forget the Death Guard Codex. Revolting Stenchvats is a *ridiculous* relic, he can advance and shoot an extremely high value flamer, you can pair him with a squad of Deathshroud and just threaten a fight last + flamer overwatch + Deathshroud counterstrike. He's an ABSURD character. Someone needs to tell Dameki.

Poxwalkers are A or even S tear. Cheap durable and some great shenanigans with certain strategies
Everything I am about to say is in a competitive, tournament context. No joke, plague marines and poxwalkers should be switched. Pox walkers are one of the best units in the codex for playing the primary. They are so cheap, so annoying to remove at toughness 4, and flood the board with obsec bodies. Plague marines just die without an invul, and are way more expensive. For 5 plague marines, you can have 21 poxwalkers. Those poxies will do more and survive longer. Foul blightspawn is S tier because of the relic. Does exactly what you said you wished it had (6" aura), and with a S8, ap-3, damage 2 weapon its no joke. Rest of the tier list is probably fine. Also, you dont have to take rhinos if you dont take plague marines. My tourney lists are running min sized termy squads, with maxed sized poxwalkers. Does more damage and pushes objectives harder than a list with marines.
Unless GW changed it and correct me if I’m wrong. If you take DG terminations, they do have the CORE keyword and that means you can take more poxwalkers.

Foul Blightspawn and Malignant Plaguecaster in B-tier? Poxwalkers in C-tier? Are you joking?
Malignant Plaguecaster is at least a middle A-tier due to mortal wound spam, Foul Blightspawn is literally an auto-include with the Stench Vats relic and is arguably the best user of the Deadly Pathogens in the entire army so S-tier, maybe a high-A tier without the relic.
Poxwalkers are B-tier because you're paying 5 points for a T4 model, they're not stellar at anything because they're literally just zombies. They're meant to screen your better units, hold backline objectives and tie down things in combat if they get the chance to.
Also why are you marking down units for moving slowly? It's the Death Guard, the entire army (bar the Daemon Prince with Wings, some vehicles and of course Morty) is super slow. It's like marking down T'au for being awful in melee or Chaos Daemons for not having any decent shooting, you're not picking them to be fast you're picking them because they'll take pretty much anything your opponent has to offer and still keep going.
The guy seems to be in a time loop where he is mixing in old 8th rules. The plaguecaster is 12" for mortal wounds not 6. Think he should have played some games with them or actually had a look at the codex before writing the script because most of the info isn't that useful at all

Sorry Demeki. I love ya man but putting a DG Daemon Prince in B-tier is just fucking stupid. I play against DG near enough every week atm (times of virus) and the Daemon Price is one of the best character in the army (not including Morty). There's some amazing relic and warlord combos for a daemon prince that either make him a tank or a beatstick, and being less than 10 wounds so having look out sir they are just amazing.
The plague casters fallout range is 12" now. It used to be super short

I love these videos, but as a long time DG player I just had to chime in in with a few rules mistakes or combos that I think you missed (I'm so sorry this is long lol hopefully you enjoy the tips and tricks tho):
1. The Plaguecaster causes mortals within 12 inches on a 7+ to cast, not a 6" aura. It used to be a 7" aura, but the buff to 12 is way better now, effectively giving him 1+d3 mortals in a smite.
2. Contagions are not auras. In the rules for Contagion abilities, it specifically says that while they may feel like auras, they are not auras and can not be "affected by abilities that affect Aura abilities, and vice-versa." This means you can not give the Fugaris Helm to a Lord of Contagion to buff the aura by 6 inches.
3. A Foul Blightspawn with his relic, Revolting Stench-Vats, is one of the most powerful units in the game right now. It affects ALL enemy units in range and makes them count as not charging, which means they still fight second in the fight phase, and they don't get any abilities that trigger on charging like Shock Assault or other abilities like it. Basically he makes your lines almost impossible to charge, and you can buff that to a 12 inch RADIUS with the Ferryman strat, On Droning Wings. On top of that, he has a strong plague spewer that got buffed to 12 inch range as well. You will always take 1, and he is probably S tier right now. I could sing praises about this guy all day lol
4. As other people have mentioned, zombies are very good right now. They are t4, fearless, can regenerate models 2 (or 3 if harbingers) diff ways without costing reinforcement points, and still count as objective secured. Most lists will have 2-3 squads of them, and Typhus only moderately buffs them, you don't really need him for them like you did in 8th. they also get contagions, so being st3 doesn't really hurt them as much since they're still wounding marines on 4s and other infantry on 3s.
5. Speaking of Typhus, holy crap this guy is good. For 165 points, you get a Lord of contagion mixed with a malignant plaguecaster for 2 powers, his blade is both the Manreaper and Plaguereaper combined for flat 3 damage or 12 small attacks, and he can be taken in any detachment without breaking plague companies. He also does mortal wounds on a 2+ to a unit close to him for a free Smite, and then he can Smite and Curse of the Leper that same units for ungodly amounts of mortal wounds.
6. The Tallyman does not give you CP anymore when you spend CP, but simply if you roll a 7+ on two dice EVERY Command phase, you get a CP for that battle round. It was probably supposed to be FAQ'd to be just one roll in your command phase, but GW didn't write it, so yeah now you effectively have a 75% chance to get an extra CP every round. On top of that, he has a relic that gives you extra hits on 6s to hit in an aura. This is cute on Plague Marines, good on Blightlord Terminators, and BROKEN AF ON TWIN VULKITE CULVERIN CONTEMPTORS. That gives you 16 shots, hitting on 2's, rerolling 1s, and exploding 6s to hit that do mortals from 45 inches away, and then they do flat 2 damage for funsies. wat
7. Blight drone with fleshmower is great, but not broken, I agree. However, I think you missed the strat that lets it heroically intervene within 6 inches. That gives you the ability to advance and fly them up, put them on an objective, and then just bully the objective all game by intervening into models trying to steal it. On top if that, they don't degrade anymore, so even with 1 wound left, they have 12 attacks hitting on 3s and healing with the other strat. You can also use the Flash Outbreak strat on them too since they'll be up front by the enemy. Great little front line bullies.
But yeah, great video my dude. I wanted to spread the love with some combos and hopefully they help you win some future games :)
Edit: I completely forgot, but the terrain piece isn't actually that bad. For 75 points, you get a t8 -1 to hit (with smokescreen strat) that gives all infantry a cover save around it, and the little pipes that come with it count as a separate terrain piece for the -1 to hit. So if you put some deathshroud behind the little pipes, they get a -1 to hit and a cover save. It isn't broken, but it's definitely better than some other terrain pieces out there.

Foul Blightspawn is the easiest S tier pick ever for me, give him the revolting stench vats and you have a 6" aura that stops units count as having charged or using fight first. So any "on charge" abilities get turned off (shock assault, repentia re-rolls), and you get to swing at them first. Run him in the Ferrymen and use their stratagem to make it 12" bubble of being basically unchargeable. Also worth putting viscous death on him making his plague sprayer S8 rerolling no. of shots

5 Deathshroud into baneblade if they pop +1 to hit and wound via strats (3 CP): 21 attacks, 17.5 hits, 13.5 wounds, 2 saves, so about 22-24 dmg, putting it on its last bracket. If you upgrade champions weapon to a relic or contagion weapon you'll kill it in 1 go on average. They cut through Dreadnoughts pretty reliably even with damage halved which is nuts.
A correction on the limit for Cultists & Poxwalkers: the limits are separate. If you have 2 squads of Plague Marines, you can have 2 squads of Cultists & 2 Squads of Pox Walkers.
It's not limited to Plague Marines, it's limited to Bubonic Astartes core which includes Blightlords and Deathshroud.

I'm always eager for opinions on DG units as a DG player myself, and I found your insight very helpful! I will say though that Plagueburst crawler might be a little stronger than you think. It is true that the D6 attacks can be hit or miss, but those entropy cannons can light some stuff up. I usually take two crawlers to ensure that they can be relied on for the damage, and they haven't disappointed me so far. Just camp them in the back objectives while your army marches up the field and punch holes in vehicles and infantry alike. You could probably field test something like that in TTS if you haven't tried two crawlers yet, but I'm sure it'll be worth at least a try. Overall, great list, and you reminded me I should probably run a plague surgeon in my list to slog with my termies while Mortarion soaks up the attention!
Some feedback from my POV:
I know it's been picked up on a lot already, but the Foul Blightspawn and Tallyman reviews miss a lot of what makes them great, and why to take those units.
The Poxwalkers should be A/S tier IMO as well, as their interaction with secondaries and strats (especially with Typhus and with certain plague companies, as well as the new Terminus Est detachment from the book of rust) make them SO GOOD.
Foetid bloat drone with the fleshmower has 12 flat attacks. I know you mentioned "it get's extra" but it's not a case of exploding 6s or something, IT'S FLAT 12 ATTACKS AT AP-2 DAMAGE 2 AT S7. With the -1 toughness aura, that means it's essentially S8 against everything in the game except T8 stuff, so it's wounding everything in the game except T8 on 2s, rerolling 1s, because of it's plague weapon. It's an absolute beast and so durable. Plus, it can eat people and regain wounds, and heroically intervene 6". It's almost an auto include unless your list is skewing really heavily in some other direction.

You think poxwalkers are lower than b tier? They can pump out mortal wounds, have obsec, and are cheap. You cannot perform actions with them as they have the mindless rules but also never take moral test.

And unironically that was pretty much his reason for putting them in b tier Even though they perform much better than blight haulers. I've tried using blight haulers in my games and man they're just so expensive. A plagueburst crawler does essentially the same thing except better for 35 points more. Whereas the flesh mower perform so incredibly well in melee. Absolutely dominated several units of repentia and managed to survive even despite the mortal wounds they can do

I 100% agree on your assessment of the Foetid Bloat Drone though, friend. The melee version is an absolute fucking beast in combat and acts as a great contagion spreader too. I do think MBH's could be great if they just lowered the point cost of them slightly, though, maybe to 120-130 points.

But for real, I've seen people get great use out of the Miasmic Malignifier. Like GeneralJannis in a recent battle report. I wouldn't be so quick to write it off completely.

personally, i like to take a terminator scorcerer in a wretched army (gives the dude 4 psychic max powers if you give him the right relics/warlord traits), drop it near an important enemy unit, and throw curse of the leper on it, if it doesnt imeditely nuke the thing, use smite or one of the other 3 psychic powers the boy has to finish it off
Miasmic Malignifier is amazing. It is hugely underrated. 75 pts to make a giant pain in the ass that ruins your opponent's deployment and sets up cloud of flies while boosting your shooting. I run it whenever I don't run Morty. It is the rare of example of a great fortification. It also can be deployed anywhere, so its not very hard to deploy like fortifications that don't have deep strike deployment. 12 8T wounds that ruin enemy deployment for 75 pts and it has a free flamer to boot. If they don't kill it (and again, its hard to kill) you get infantry onto it and they get light cover and -1 to be hit.

Good content as always :D However I do think you underestimated the daemon Prince and Poxwalkers, The former makes a better use of realics like the warp insect hive and WL traits like hulking physique while being protected by look out sir and Poxwalkers are a very good screening and objetive securing unit thats as cheap as the ground they came out of, good vid nontheless and hoping for the next one (BDSM elves pls)

I think this is a mostly fair tier-list of Death Guard as they are right now. I'd rank poxwalkers and the foul blightspawn higher but I agree with the rest. I'm actually kind of surprised Dameki put the Blight Haulers so high, not because I don't like them, I just figured everyone else hated them for being so many points now. I'd say 9 str 8 shots hitting on 3's is nothing to sneeze at and they have versatility since the missile launcher can switch modes. But again, 420 points for 3 is real pricey so I understand not many people use them in games nowadays.

Poxwalkers are S-tier. You don't need plague marines, you just need death guard core infantry, so terminators count too. What you get for 5 points is ridonkulous. Definitely one of the best 5 point models in the game.
Poxwalker spam + terminators + contempors/PBC is probably the best DG list around right now.
