because I have a metal frame too, you can just add piece of wood and make it so the clamp holds on both piece of wood and metal frame, but if the clamp goes even deeper you can just ignore the metal frame
I bought a similar table with a metal frame and wasn't sure if my VIVO would work with it, but I'm glad I was proven wrong haha. Thanks so much for this video! It had a lot of chaotic good energy
Thanks for making this. I was going to order a vivo arm and a very similar desk. Was not sure if it could be installed because of the metal frame. This was exactly what I needed
I know this is two year after review, but I believe I have the same. exact. desk as you just in a different color. And ofcourse, having this desk brings upon the concern that clamps won't work properly with the metal frame. Luckily I found your video and it brought me a wave of relief. Glad to know that this mount will work for my desk!
Monitor arm is convenient ✨ I also use two monitors with monitor arms attached. The video was also very easy to understand! I also studied videos. Thank you. With love from Japan :)
Haha awesome. I love that you showed all the issues that you ran into instead of just skipping over them. I have that little bar thingy on my desk too.
Actuall what i needed because i need it for height cause i wanna put stuff on the edge of my desk under the monitor. So thank you very much. Plus i plan on just keeping it in one spot and not moving to at all. Just need it for height cause i have a small set up but it still will help with space as well. Wish yourube would allow pictures in comments
Make sure you read the comments on Amazon. Many people complaining that the bars cannot screw into the clamp because of too much powder coating on the threads. If you work with the company supposedly they will send out new parts but you can forget that. That is complete BS. Buy a product and then have to get replacement parts before you've ever even used it? I received mine today and I had the exact same issue. I did the "it won't happen to me" thing, but sure enough it did. I have to now send it back to Amazon. Should have stuck to Wali as I've never had an issue with their products.
Thanks, just one this because of your video! My desk is a really old 90s office desk, so the lip is barely 1 inch. I'm gonna use the grommet option until I get a new desk, but your video really helped me decide on getting it now! Thanks!
Need Computer Desk Computer Table Writing Desk Workstation Office Desk, AC3BW-140, 55 inches. I got this one from Amazon. I believe there’s discount on it right now
Thank you for this video! I have a similar issue, where my desk has the support bar underneath. So most monitor arms can’t clamp easily. And I also don’t really want to drill through my desk. So I’ll look for a monitor arm with a single, wide C clamp to hold onto the metal bar underneath my desk nicely.
So far no problems yet! The arm's stiffness could be adjusted, just loosen the nuts. The only complain that I have, other than not being able to adjust the height freely, is that the pole is starting to look a little slanted ever so slightly. Or maybe it's just my eyes
editing tip, just cut out all the stuff you just added because you wanted to keep it in but only had like 3 frames of it. sometimes editing for youtube you have to be brutal
recommendation for this type of video, record all of the install and use it as b-roll rather than main footage. Then go over and talk about it when your giving the review, it will cut the video down and you can help control the attention rate. aka i skipped through it a bunch and you dont want that.
also your close up is too close, you need to show the top of your head lol, if you cant see yourself in frame you should really get another monitor for it (video monitor not desktop)
with that, you use auto focus and you could use that to see if your in focus. But what you really should do is have it in manual so you can control it rather than saying oh well.
Made it 2:34 in and the comments gave me enough information where I felt like I could leave the video already. Gotta work on trimming things down or at least throw time stamps into the video. The music and video quality had me stick around enough to comment because it does seem like you care about creating good content. Not saying this content is bad but just my thoughts!
@@odysseyelias3570 well, the arm mounts onto the edge of your desk using the clamp, so any screws that need to be used are only for putting together the pieces, not for mounting onto the desk. The only situation where you need extra equipment is when you want to use the grommet clamp. That case, you'll need to drill a hole in your table (if there isn't any)
If you're going to use an auto focus camera, please get one that has a faster response time. Half your video was out of focus. Swishing it around like a fire hose doesn't help, either.
This is literally the first unboxing/setup video that gets straight to the point.
I admit, I did enjoy watching this. I laughed on the upside down cause thsts something I'd do.
Mate, you are so underrated... You deserve more subs

I was looking for videos like that as well but found none! Decided to make one
Thanks for making this. I was going to order a vivo arm and a very similar desk. Was not sure if it could be installed because of the metal frame. This was exactly what I needed
Glad I could help!
Idk how you only have 500 subs keep up the good work
Holsters for the allen wrenches - Genius! Good video thanks for making it and I enjoyed your other videos too. Keep producing!
I’m impressed how you installed with one arm and flipped pages with the other😂
Dude, Thanks I had the same problem and I thought it wasn't gonna work with my desk and I think we got the same desk. So, I appreciate this video.
My desk also has that metal thing too so I’m glad i saw that this still works with it

Haha glad you enjoyed it!!

The clamp came assembled but it hasn’t give me the right screws only these black and silver ones and just silver ones
Haha awesome. I love that you showed all the issues that you ran into instead of just skipping over them. I have that little bar thingy on my desk too.
Is it worth it to buy?
Get a piece of wood that is the same thickness as the metal frame, then your clamp will have more to hold on to.

"the BASA mount" xD nice vid brother preciate it

that looks sick
Great video Zarif! Keep it up ❤️
This was a pleasure to watch, very well made video. Much luck to you

thanks for the review man. i have the EXACT same desk as you and was wondering how it'd fit so you saved my ass there.
This guy is so funny! Great video!
Thanks for sharing, Zarif. I like the batman belt part :D
you probably won’t see this but i’m looking to pick this and your desk up. do you know the brand of your desk by any chance?

@@Zarnyx ok thanks i was looking at this desk for my setup and i didn’t know if this moniter mount could fit because of the metal bar.

Did you find what you were looking for?
did you find one?
The one in the video would work!
Does the steel bar hold up still? You put the arm pretty high so that will bend it over time i think. I don't need it that high up luckily
Great vid!
Is it able to turn vertical
Yes!
Hey man idk if you’ll see this but are you still using this arm? And would you recommend it?
Yes am still using. So far it still holds up pretty good. Would recommend if you're on a tight budget especially
How big of a desk do you use?
How low could you make the monitor? Could you get it low enough to where it’s practically resting on the deck itself?
Technically yes. I could get the monitor low enough to touch the table.
Did you buy the 17in pole to adjust the height or the 39in pole
17in
whoever reads this repent and follow Christ before it's too late, I was downbad and Jesus saved me
So this was a couple of months ago. How has it held up since?

Do you think you could turn the monitor 180 degrees? Wondering if I could turn the monitor towards opposite side
Yeah you can
how much does the box weigh?
Subscribed, only cuz you said monitor twice
Nice review bro.. Just that autofocus camera really2 annoying
Awesomee!!
noice
im worried couse i have the frame under my desk and i hope it xstays
Hopefully!
thank god you dont have to drill a hole because the the instructions it told me to drill a hole i was like wtf
Yeah mann that would suck
Thanks bro!

dose it come with a c clamp
Yes it does
anyone know if this would work on the MSI optix MAG301CR2
????
you need to losen the turk on the arm
Does the stand come with the screws?
all the screws you see in the video are included in the box. They even give a bunch of Allen keys, so you really don't need extra tools to install it
Zarnyx so this includes the actual mounting screws?

this is by far the worst review ever.
