Being a huge DAVID GOGGINS scholar I equally respect this dude,in his interview with JOE ROGAN he said one thing that stuck to my mind and I never looked back... he said and I quote verbatim “NEVER GIVE PAIN ANY VOICE”..now that shit combined with GOGGINS’ “STAY HARD” was enough to see my messed up and bent outta shape physique completely transmogrify into something I never,and I mean NEVER,EVER imagined on myself.
That was 2 years ago,today I’m in a physique that I am completely in awe of...I am not shy to tell the world that if it hadn’t been for GOGGINS and CHAD I’d be nowhere near where I am today,physically,mentally as well as intellectually.
Nothing in the world CAN HURT ME.
To everyone reading this,I don’t care where you are in the world, if you roll with GOGGINS,CHAD and JOKO and do as they do,then there’s no fucking way your life is not gonna change...add in ADMIRAL WILLIAM McRAVEN in the mix...you will own the world and take people’s souls without saying a word.

I love Chadd... He constantly reminds me I am warrior and of what I'm still capable of doing... I've been there in my military career having your body pushed to the absolute limit. It's unreal what the body can go through. He's made me a better person. To push myself. To be a better leader. I can go on and on what this man has done for me.

I run a different mile every day. I broke my body 42 years ago volunteering for missions because I thought it would prove something to the SEALs that I worked around. It didn’t. Now I fight that broken body combined with autoimmune conditions. Every day God wakes me up is another run around the loop. I’m gonna live forever, but not because of anything that I am. Jesus Christ saved me. He gets all the credit!

13 years away from a broken neck in a training accident. I almost cashed in my chips a few times, but my kids kept me going. Now I have a grandson and a good life with a little medication and a lot of love. The hardest fight is the one inside.

If you choose to read scripture in English I recommend ISR(institute for scriptures research) or HalleluYah Scriptures I versions.
They do their best in restoring scripture, and translating (not transliterating) it, to as original as possible through language barriers.
I also ask a question. If your spouse's native language was not your own...wouldn't you attempt to learn a little of their native?

Chadd is an absolute badass but even more than that, he seems like a down to earth, solid & kind man. Make no mistake, he is competitive, demands effort & excellence & loathes excuses or loafers but he just oozes integrity & a solid heart. At around ~01:38, when Chadd laughs at the pain & the race, you know the man is dead serious about competing & grinding until the wheels fall off. The man is literally laughing at the pain which has to be disheartening to even the toughest or most seasoned of runners.😮 Same goes with his ultimatum at ~02:53 which he caps off with a sinister smile->”I’m going to be the last man standing or I’m going to break my body.” There are no other options or thoughts here. The dude isn’t even human. He is literally smiling & laughing about the forthcoming pain.
My knees hurt just watching the trailer! Inspiring stuff! hopefully will get the chance to see the whole thing soon! ...I'm no runner - but I can hike fast and hard all day with weight on my back...it sounds so reasonable to just speed walk a mile every 20 minutes....until you break...
Amazing! I ran the "Bridge Run" 10K race in Charleston and that race has 250 feet of elevation in a mile. To do that over and over and over again, 122 times, is something I cannot even imagine.

Chadd, I just watched the Barkley Marathons documentary and you NEED to get into that race.
When we overcome our fear of death, we become free to live as we were meant to live. A man who knows how to die well, knows how to live well.

It's only a mile..haha. I used to do 8 in the service...out of 135 guys, only about 20 would make it through the hills of Bad Hersfeld back in the day...I dont think I could do 1/4 of that today..God Bless brother, and wish you well..

When I heard him say "I am just going to crush that dudes soul man" instantly knew he doesn't care amount the trail running community.
Which could be good or bad I guess. These last man standing races do promote cut throat racing between the top competitors. But I suspect it's like that even at traditional running races. The winners of Western States or Leadville probably have the same thoughts at the end of the race but just don't say it. Only us slower middle and back of the pack folks are out there with friends and for the comradarie in addition to the physical and mental challenge.
My kind of tribe. I know that mentality, use it myself with 100 milers. Finish or die, no quitting.
That's right brother not everyone has that drive ambition and motivation to push Themselves to the limit of accomplishing anything and everything u can and so can many others including myself nuff respects to brother for ur service in the navy and also in the teams as a protector of this Nation

David Goggins agaisnt Chadd would be insane. Theyd run for days. Until one of them falls dead. Theyre both THAT incredible and competitive
He’s been pushed to the limit based on modern methods, in the medieval and ancient times, navy seal training would be a warm up.

@@julienwatkins3574 because the amount of suffering that you go through these days have been severely reduced compared to the past thanks to technology and other small comforts of daily life. Also knowing you'll have a good meal and bed to rest on after training or get a ride home.
@@MarkoSrbija01 Interesting, maybe better physical training and nutrition, bone density, availability of electrolytes, and general health ect. would enable modern soldier to push farther and harder.
But I understand your point about the difficulties and brutality of ancient life.
@@MarkoSrbija01 thats just saying technology makes "life" better. You average feudal peasant in a medieval army endured no training nearly as grueling as BUDs. And the average medieval knight did not either, being a member of a spoiled aristocracy. Roman legions would execute soldiers or torture them for various crimes but that wasnt 'training'

My best mile: 5:10. It was 10 degrees Fahrenheit, flurries, in 1988. I was 18 years old. My lung felt like the were bleeding from breathing in the cold air.

I would say that there are those individuals that put the same amount of tireless effort into their families, relationships, children as they do their physical challenges and fitness.
Unfortunately,and I have no doubt, there is a lot they do not.
No they don’t. It’s all about them. I wheeled many of their old (not that old) broken asses around the hospital. No one visits them. They just sit around drooling and no one cares about their stories. It’s just sad because they were deceived. Just old and broken and the VA is left with the bill.
