      That theory would not be out of line, and it's very possible the Dursley's normal antagonistic attitude toward anything magical would have been enhanced by Harry being a horcrux. All the other theories mentioned here are simply ridiculous at best.

    A phoenix as a horcrux would be an especially bad idea given that the animal is completely consumed by its own fire every so often. The new bird that rises from the ashes is for all practical reasoning no longer the same bird. The horcrux isn't going to transfer to the egg that gets laid anymore than Harry's scar would come off with new layers of skin growth. My thoughts as to why Fawkes saved Harry is because Fawkes had bonded with Harry. It had nothing to do with loyalty to Dumbledore.

    • @marshallpeters7174
      @marshallpeters7174 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Well, Dumbledore did tell Harry he must have shown extreme loyalty to call Fawkes to him. Aside from that, though, creating a horcrux requires a deliberate act of murder, which Dumbledore would never have done. Ariana's death was an accident.

    • @DragoX7
      @DragoX7 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      When Fawkes bursts into flames and is reborn in the ashes it doesn't lay an egg. Also, it's most certainly the same bird. Ya know Fawkes blocks for Dumbledore and tanked a killing curse during the ministry duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort. Just immediately becomes a chick once more.

    • @Leon-w5h
      @Leon-w5h 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@nhansen197 When Harry Potter first encountered Fawles, it was just ahead of its burning. So, Harry was the last/first human it saw before/after its burning. With that, Fawkes “imprinted” with the image/neural connection of Harry from its first by sight/breath/thought. Harry had a feather of Fawkes in his wand. When Riddle picked up Harry’s wand, Fawkes could feel the change in magical intention. Enough for Fawkes to know that Harry was in trouble. When Harry expressed his loyalty to Dumbledore, Fawkes had all “he” needed to respond. And I am certain that Dumbledore gave Fawkes the hat for Harry, knowing the legends about Godric Gryffindore.

    The love potion theory for Ginny is extremely easy to debunk. Among many, many counterarguments, I'll mention just one: potion-induced love doesn't last, the target has to be fed new doses of the potion all the time (as proven by Tom Riddle Sr. rejecting Merope once her potion wore off). But Harry's affection for Ginny survives a whole year in which they were barely in touch, and when she certainly couldn't feed him new doses of the potion. So even if Ginny gave him a couple of doses, causing his initial attraction (and there are problem with that theory too), it only explains the initial infatuation; it doesn't come close to explaining how that turned into a love strong enough to get them married with kids

    • @saphiramystique2086
      @saphiramystique2086 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Plus, Harry didn't act like someone on a love potion, we see this when Ron eats the chocolate laced with the Love Potion meant for Harry, someone on Love Potion acts more obsessed with the person who gives it to them than in love with them, and Harry didn't act that way with Ginny. He didn't act obsessed.

    Harry and Cho dated during order of the phoenix, and their relationship didn’t work out. Harry didn’t forget her, he merely realized she wasn’t right for him. Ginny was a better match because she could understand what he had gone through with Voldemort in a way that Cho could not. Plus he’d known Ginny longer and they were already friends.

      @@malloryjones5393 um ginny was still barely able to talk to harry till around the time of dumbledore's army training in book 5. Cho and harry already broke up by that point. Also the only things ginny has going for her is she is good at quidditch she has a similar experience with tom, and have a connection with Ron (arguably Harry's best friend). There are signs of both Hermione and harry being potioned by ginny and ron in book 6 as well. There are a few types of love potions in hp universe. Amortencia is stated to be the strongest one though. Then there are a few other emotion/behavioral based potions as well. So despite the fact it's never explicitly stated within the books or movies there is a high probability of loyalty potions jealousy potions and a few other types that could explain some of the events in book 6 between the four. Namely Hermione and Harry suddenly becoming jealous of Ron and Ginny. Then Hermione's behavior toward the book about the half blood Prince. The majority of these behavioral potions show up in book 3 and 6 loyalty potion for Hermione toward Dumbledore explains her devotion to him despite the fact she realizes by this point he's very fallible. This theory is easily debunked by reading the first chapter of Philosopher/Sorcerer’s which shows that the Dureleys didn't change any after Harry came to live with them, it's not just what McGonagall said, that chapter actually shows things from the Dursley’s POV, in the beginning, and there is a scene with Vernon yelling at his employees at work for no reason, the same way he treats Harry later on, there's also Marge Dursely in POA, she was hardly around Harry, and treated him the same if not worse than Vernon, which also shows, that the Horcrux had nothing to do with it, the Dursleys were just awful people.

    Problem with the horcrux-affected-Dursleys theory: Once Harry started attending Hogwarts, several people at Hogwarts -- especially Ron Weasley -- spent more time with him than the Dursleys. Harry never returned to them during the mid-year breaks, and several of his summer breaks, while starting at Privet Drive, ended at the Burrow (or, in one case, Diagon Alley). So the Dursleys' exposure to the Harry-Hocrcux decreased, whereas Ron's (and others') increased. Yet the horcrux didn't affect them: we *know* what Ron's behaviour under such influence was like, and it only happened when he was exposed to the locket in Book 7

    The snake in the terrarium was way too small to be a maladictus. Even as a young adult, Nagini would have been a normal size human, but at that weight would have been a huge snake. Harry’s interaction with the zoo snake only foreshadowed his capacity for parseltongue. Something that would come into play in Harry’s second year.

    In regards to Marry Poppins being at Hogwarts is a quite convincing theory, I like it. It makes sense.
    As for Hermione and Harry being siblings, I would so get behind it. But it's so not possible. Hermione is a few months older than Harry so it's just not possible, but their relationship does seem to be that of brother and sister, ge even said so in DEATHKY HALLOWS to Ron when (he ) Ron came back, "I think of her as a sister, and I reckon she sees me the same way." Man, I wish they were siblings.

    • @StarShadowPrimal
      @StarShadowPrimal 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Regarding Harry and Hermione being siblings, I don't think the birthdays would be a big issue, given that it is only a matter of record and they would already have required someone (probably just Harry's parents and Dumbledore) having to create a fake life for her already. They would almost certainly have to be fraternal twins, in which case it would not make sense to leave them with the same birthday, which would raise everyone's eyebrows.
      If that theory were to be true, the goal would have had to have been to hide her for safety. It was publically known that the Potters had a child, so there was no point hiding both of them, but if even they were surprised by having twins, it might have made sense to hide one of them with a muggle family. Some minor memory and public records altering would be no trouble, so there would certainly be a name change and a different birthday and maybe even minor physical changes. Maybe they even intended to reclaim her after the war had they survived.

    Understand my oddity in this, but I think that the Evans girls’ grandmother may have been sister to Hermione’s great-grandmother. That would have made them cousins. Too close for marriage, but close enough for family.
    Draco might have heard of the basilisk in old legends, and put old “boogie-man tales” to keep kids in line with the symptoms of petrifaction. He then took down a text that described a basilisk, extracted the article, and left it in a history of Salazar Slytherin, looking for clues about “The Chamber of Secrets”. This would have led her to more information about the basilisk, including its adaptation to size and shape of occupied chambers. This was an attribute noted by Newt Scamander concerning certain magical creatures. Given those clues, she (rightly) concluded that the basilisk was traversing the (sewage) pipes.

    Something I’ve noticed that I’ve never heard anyone else address in all these years is an inconsistency that has to do with nearly headless Nick. In book 1 during the welcoming feast Nick says to Harry when he watches Harry cut up his steak, “I haven’t eaten for nearly 400 years.” Notice how Nick say “nearly 40O” and not just 400. Now, fast forward to year and book 2 when Nearly headless Nick invites Harry, Ron, and Hermione to his death day party. Nick says it will be his 500 death day. How in one year did Nick go from nearly 400 years to exactly 500 years? If Nick had said he hadn’t eaten in 400 years instead of saying “nearly 400 years” one could possibly make the argument that ghost “age” ( is that the right word) differently than living beings. This is just a loop hole that I notice when rereading or re-listening to the Harry Potter books and to my knowledge no one talks about it nor do I think J.K Rowling has addressed the question on Potter more. Tldr at bottom
    I have heard the theory that harry wasn't a true horcrux cuz horcrux are said to be inanimate objects. Meaning harry can't be a true horcrux. He is something similar to a Jinchuriki from Naruto though. I say this cuz horcrux have been know to take possession and even influence them yet the soul piece never showed sians of being able to do so. Then fact it is infact a fragment of tom riddle's soul is shown though the link tom uses to influence harry. All this can also support the ron being Dumbledore as well do to his lazy and greedy nature. Aka if ron and Dumbledore are one the same it just adds to the list of shady thing about Dumbledore. There is a long list of shady things about Dumbledore, and the rumor about Molly Weasley potioning Arthur has some evidence as well. Which is another shady thing to the list(her being one dumbledore's most fanatical followers). I can keep going on and on about all the shady things about dumbledore and some of the people closest to him, but i won't.
    Tldr here: theory that harry is a false horcrux is both plausible, and adds to ron and dumbledore being one in the same. It also adds to theory of Dumbledore being a dark lord hiding in plain site.
    PS:I personally think dumbledore is either a hidden Dark Lord or a complete moron that is just obscenely misguided (I lean to the former). I also don't believe the ron being Dumbledore. I just thought I'd point out though that the false horcrux theory is factor that adds to it. I also think harry is a false horcrux.

    Sorry but ron is dumbledore makes little sense since we know how dumnbledor grew up, and that he had a brother and a sister. We actually meet the brother and see paintings of the sister, so they are nmot some made up legend to hide who he truly is. We know some things about his childhood even. I can see that making sense when the first few books came out, but not with what we know now.
    But I really love the marry poppins one

    Im wondering if the dursleys are effected by the horocrux. I mean Take Ron, neville, and the other boys in his room. They live also months with Harry in one small room. Seeing how fast Ron got effected during the last book, they also should have shown at least some little signs I think. But honestly still don't really know how human horocruxes work. Im always wondering about how its possible no one got effected by harry even tho they literally sleep less than 2 meters apart from each other for the bigger part of 6 YEARS. At the very least Ron and Neville should be effected because how much he hangs out with them
    In case of the phoenix, wouldn't the fire destroy the horocrox? I know normal fire doesn't work, but I don't think the fire of a phoenix is normal fire. It seems magical just like the fire in the room of requierments.

    Hermione was born in 1979, just a year before Harry.
    What if James and lilly decided to send her away to be safe since she was born first they might thought she might've been the child in the prophecy. And Voldemort would've never thought that child in the prophecy would be muggle born.

    Fans can sometimes simply outwrite the author's. This is one of those occasions of tan's unbelievable minds. That being said, JK's entire story for Snape was on a different level, and no one on earth came all that was coming with that. There's probably 1 million+ "Always." tattoos on the ankles, backs, and wrists of girls (and I hate tattoos) but this is one I have seen a zillion times and not only accepts bit approve. It's one of the greatest examples of loves I have ever seen.
    Married 16 years to the love of my life, now separated (but not divorced) for 10 months. I find myself thinking of what Snape said over and over in that scene. Sometimes, no matter what, even if she eventually gets with another man and has a family, my heart still says my love is "Always". Untouchable. I can't help it, no matter what.
    To love someone you have lost and still, eternally love. I understand now, Snape. That takes the strongest man and love I have ever seen.
    The only thing greater would be the love of the Lord himself. I still dream of her calling me and walking back through the door. She either will in this life or the next. I love you Veronica, my soulmate

    All of these theories to me are conspiracy theories, with as little practical connective tissue as conspiracies. I couldn't stop laughing at all of them as I also laugh at conspiracy theories, or theories without any reliable scientific basis such as flat Earthers. I can see no way that these theories would stand up to real scrutiny and that the fans are the only people that hold them. The Mary Poppins (I will include Nanny McPhee in this) really had me rolling, yes I can see how she could have been schooled at Hogwarts but how did she escape without the Ministry getting involved, she would have been jailed in Azkaban for deliberately revealing magic to the muggle world on a repeated basis. Much as I enjoyed this video, as a fan of the series I cannot agree with any of the theories. Of course, that is only my personal opinion.

    I love the idea of Harry and Hermione being brother and sister. 😍
    And the Mary Poppins theory is simply adorable! 🩷
    I also have a theory... Well, it's more of a simple headcanon, but here it goes: Remus Lupin never got intimate with anyone before Tonks, because of his furry little problem... And that was another strong motive for him to reject her and acting so off-charcter when it camed to her. After all, it was a very sensitive matter for him, who was in his mid-30s and had decides long ago that he would never get involved with anyone, because he was too dangerous.

    I loved the movies and the books. With each book the style of the writing changed. Which I have my own theory on. I disagree that Draco was trying to help anyone. You’re giving his character too much credit for intelligence which he does not possess. He’s just a bully. The Dursley’s are like typical families today that have to take in a child they don’t want. They make the child’s livfe a living hell and torture them. We read many stories in the news like this. I’ve known a few myself. As far as a horcrux in Harry.. The Dursley’s had an agreement with Dumbledore to take him, hide him. So I’m sure there was a spell that was cast to protect them.
    I think your artwork with your presentation was amazing. The pictures were absolutely beautiful.
    Fans need to remember one thing it is just a book or a set of books. Sometimes we become so immersed in something because we find our own life unsatisfactory.
    Though I do believe that there are some that can do real magic.

Though there was a certain time of year that she could visit her family in the human world the same bus was used with the same kind of bus stop as in Harry Potter stories. Although Grandma's bag walked would be that she enchanted the bag to follow her I would say she was in Gryffindor but I could be wrong but it does have me thinking of that.

    Harry Potter as horcrux is true if you read the books or watch the films but to suggest that this is the reason that the dursley's were abusive too him is wrong and I should know as a person who was abused people who are abusers don't need a reason to abuse someone they do it for the sick gratification it gives them to see another person in pain simply because they enjoy seeing other people in pain making them feel like a waste of space . So stop making excuses for abusers it just enables them to do more harm !

    I’ve always felt like Dumbledore had a slight favoring of Severus. But because of Lily he would never be able to be with Severus. Ron is not Dumbledore.
    Dumbledore is Ron.
    There is a big difference.
    Ron Weasley was born as Ron Weasley.
    After Voldemort won the Second Wizarding War and took control over all the Earth, Ron went back in time and aged himself down, then magicked the memories of the Dumbledore family in order to become one. He chose them because they were not a family of note.
    Then, as a Dumbledore, he was able to guide Harry to victory.
    That's also why Albus was so talented as a youth - he already had a lifetime of experience.

    Interesting theories of intriguing things, the one or half a dozen of the same things could exist in the shadows of Hogwarts Castle, and if this has been mentioned but H features a lot of the books of course Harry and Hemione having a similar name, Harry comes from Harold and Hermione is possible a Norse origin or German origins so this is odd they have H in their names where others in Harry Potter seem to use other letters in the alphabet but it's some hidden meaning in names that usually contain mysteries or family connections and false history. Potter has connections with rivers and clay and names exist because of trade or what people did. So maybe Hermione name has hidden meaning as does Harry's and most of the magical world of JKR. Guess the mystery will never be solved until he returns again the one who can be mentioned you see history can sometimes repeat itself especially while magic exists and something still lingers in Hogwarts that broken wand the power of magic is hard to break, and possibly ghosts still walk?
