For several years I have prayed the St Gertrude prayer. Each prayer brings 1000 souls to heaven. When I was quite sick, in ICU for 30 days, I was finally out and put in a regular hospital room. When I looked up I saw a cloud, and heard " cloud of witnesses." In that cloud were millions of little tiny people, who had been praying for me!! Thats their job when they get to heaven! Praise God.
My father passed October 21st 2022. All souls day I went to the church and obtained a plenary indulgence for his soul, going to mass, confession, being in a state of grace and praying for the pope. Well about a week later I was out on a walk. I asked for a sign, perhaps something in the clouds as I looked up into the sky. And there I saw, in a cloud formation, a happy face. 🙂
Thanks for sharing. I thought reading somewhere that purgatory has various levels like limbo or limbus. I was working night shift and went into this empty office to barrow a pen from the clerks desk. Felt a heavy presence as the hairs on my neck was on edge. I turned around to see a gray fog and from within a former employee who had passed away 4 years prior looking back at me. I said a prayer and returned the pen. Later I heard another 2 employees saying they had the same or similar experience in the same area.
I pray the St Gertrude prayer to release 1,000 souls from purgatory after each decade of the Holy Rosary and the Fatima prayer. Eternal Father, I offer you the most prescious blood of thy Divine Son in union with the Masses said throughout the world today for the Holy Souls in Purgatory and for sinners everywhere for sinners in the Universal Church, for sinners in my family and in my home. Amen.
Yes, St. Mecthilde's Lord's Prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatori is a real gift to us because not only does it help the poor souls; it helps us very much.
I pray for the souls in Purgatory. I always save the last decade of my Rosary for them. But this month I'll pray harder. I realize that praying for the dead is important.
Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations- ......which all concern things which perish with the using-according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh. (Colossians 2:20,22-23 NKJV)
ST. Mechtilde prayer is beautiful. The story said every time she prayed this legion of souls were released from purgatory. Been praying this year followed by your St. Gertrude video on TH-cam. Thank you also for having Fr. Augustino back. God bless your family 🙏

@@annejeon9073 I found this prayer in my Pieta Prayer Book and say it every day. I also pray for specific people as well. I feel called to do this because I think so many do not and I have been lax in the past about praying for family members.
St Mactalde's prayer of the Our Father for the souls of purgatory is one of my favourites and I say it daily. I translated it into my mother language and put it on video on TH-cam. I am sure that God will also take legions of souls from purgatory to heaven on the strength of my daily prayer. I also offer plenary indulgences for the poor souls.
How good is God. I have been using the book Janelle is describing for many years now and each November the explanations, examples and prayers reveal new graces to me as to how connected we really are to these holy souls. God bless you for your sharing and encouragement in this important month to pray for their deliverance.
That was a beautiful story and prayer from St. Mechtilde for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. I shared it at my Rosary group today and they all loved it! Do you know Ken how many souls are released from purgatory every time we recite this prayer? So good to see Janelle as well! Always look forward to your Wednesday videos!! 🙏. Billie
Regarding "numbers of souls" associated with prayers - this usually is a result of some private revelation and I would not want to speculate. All I know is that God is wonderfully merciful and that we should generously offer prayers for the souls in purgatory, because love leads to generosity. This is why I like these type of prayers, it gives us an opportunity to love those who God loves, the faithful departed.
Ephesians 2:8. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9. not by works, so that no one can boast. 10. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Please pray for the sick and the dying and the family, spl women and children because he(satan) hates women, children and family..Thank you and Godbless❤
Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.(Colossians2:18-19)
Thank you so much for this reminder. It’s so easy to wonder if our prayers do any good. It’s a trick of the devil to keep people from praying for the poor souls because he enjoys their suffering.
Funny, glad to hear you are making videos about St. Mechtidle. About a year or two ago I quoted a passage from her revelations on your channel, in which Jesus told Saint Mechtidle that he literally died of a broken heart. You had said this was very interesting and asked me where I learned that information. And I said the revelations of Saint Mechtidle.
You guys are amazing, thank you for your awesome videos and for this information. I pray to our Blessed Mother we can all increase our prayers for the Holy Souls in purgatory. 🙏
Some times I feel l am calling THE LORD JESUS for everything and wonder whether I am taking other people's time. I now realise JESUS IS GOD and everywhere ready to help me
Thank you for this presentation. It first was presented 3 days ago but I hadn't had time to check it out. Ken, you and Janelle have brought me a real treasure today. I had never heard of St. Mechtilde's Our Father prayer. Thank you, thank you so much!!
@@Catholicspeaker Hi, I've got a question: would you mind if I uploaded some of your videos with Polish subtitles to my channel (it's not actually a "channel" - just a regular user's account with just one vid from GabiAfterHours uploaded almost a year ago). I'm really into purgatory and last things stuff and your content is really well-prepared and amazing so i thought I could share some ofit with my friends, acquaintences and family members who don't know English.

And many such things you do.” (Mark 7:7-8,13 NKJV)
Thank you for the stories. They're uplifting and they encourage me to continue praying for the Holy Souls daily. I do think you would like to know that the closed captions read, in part, "... internet Satan Matilda" and "...the chocolate of Saint Gertrude". Took me by surprise. :)
Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, die kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we those who thespasses. Against us but deliver us from evil amen
Qte: another sign of apostasy was the praying to saints and worship of images… even in the days of Augustine (354-430) people began to invoke deceased saints… Mary, the mother of Jesus, ‘blessed among women’, was unduly exalted, and the time came when she was looked upon as ‘the queen of heaven’, and worship was paid to her…. in the 4th or 5th century images were also placed in the church-buildings. Unquote- sketches from church history by S M Houghton.
Holy Spirit took me to purgatory. Entered via large gate, immediately to right side an abyss, round hole in ground with people begging to be let out was guarded by a saint. Countless number of people line up... satan was at head of line deceiving many. When I saw satan, I ran away. Several days later, satan approach me and I tell him nothing can separate me from the love of God and Satan swings a long thin blade and decapitates me. NOTHING can separate you from the love of God❤
Ken, could you please provide the book details as you mentioned that I may get a copy? Thank you so very much. God continue to bless you, your family and ministry.
Our Father, who art in heaven: We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls whom Thou Thyself hast adopted as Thy children, that they have not loved Thee, and have cast Thee off, and have not paid Thee due honor. For atonement and penance, I offer You all the love and goodness of Your most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallowed be Thy name: I humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls for not having glorified Thy holy name, and for having often unworthily uttered it in their mouths, and for having often spoken it in an unsuspecting manner. For atonement and penance, I offer You all the sermons by which Your most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, has glorified Your holy name on earth. Thy kingdom come: We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive and pardon the poor souls that they have not desired Thy kingdom with burning love and longing desire, but have often enriched themselves with earthly goods. As atonement and penance for these manifold sins, I offer You the great covetousness of Your most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, with which He demands to receive all into Your holy kingdom. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven: We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls that they have not submitted most humbly to Thy holy will, but have so often acted according to their own will, and thereby have not fulfilled Thy holy will. In reparation and penance, we offer up the Sacred Divine Heart of Jesus and His great submissiveness. Give us this day our daily bread: We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls for not having received Thy reverend Sacrament of the Altar with complete devotion and love. For all these sins I offer You the great holiness and devotion of Your Son, as well as His intimate love and unspeakable desire, with which He gave us this precious treasure. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us: We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls their grievous guilt of sin, that they did not love their enemies and would not forgive. In expiation and penance for these manifold sins, we offer You the holy words of Your most beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, with which He spoke on the Cross: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." And lead us not into temptation: We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls for not having resisted in the great temptations, but for having followed the lure of the evil one, and then for having been plunged into perdition. For atonement and penance, we offer up the obedience, the laborious labors, and all the bitter suffering and death of Your most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. But deliver us from evil: We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls, and lead them and our souls, through the merits of Thy most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, into the kingdom of Thy glory, which is Thyself. AMEN.
Therefore WATCH yourselves very carefully. Since you saw NO FORM form on the day that the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, beware LEST you act CORRUPTLY by making a carved IMAGE for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female, (Deuteronomy 4:12,15-16)
The second story, you might have noted that the Jesuit priest who was allowed to come back from purgatory to witness to his fellow priest ---- when he gave a sign by burning his hand into that wooden table --------- that table now resides in a small room connected to a church in Rome. It is called the purgatory museum and has a number of artifacts that give witness to these souls. The museum is small and basically never advertised in any way, but it is there and it is real.
PURGATORY IS A PLACE OF PURIFICATION OF SOULS. THERE ARE DIFFERENT LEVELS DEPENDING ON THE STATE OF YOUR SOUL AT TIME OF DEATH AS WELL AS HOW THAT SOUL LIVED IT"S LIFE ON EARTH. I THINK PURGATORY IS A NECESSITY SINCE MAJORITY OF US ARE SINNERS. EVEN SAINTS HAD TO GO THROUGH SOME FORM OF PURIFICATION BEFORE ENTERING INTO HEAVEN. GOD BLESS.
So, I'm confused about going to confession, which I try to do regularly. Am I still going to have pain in purgatory or will confession lessen or remove it? I do pray for the souls there daily.
Confession gains forgiveness. Afterwards we are obliged to try to improve. So for instance if we have a recurring sin we do penance to bring our sinful inclination under control. An example. If we are guilty of taking the Lord’s name regularly we might put a donation in the poor box each time. Gradually our bad habit will be controlled. It’s a real struggle to improve even slightly but we have to try while at the same time realising that we are so weak that we backslide often. Hope these few thoughts help but ultimately we rely on God’s Mercy.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia simply states: “In the final analysis, the Catholic doctrine on purgatory is based on tradition, Not Sacred Scripture.” “The church has relied on tradition to support a middle ground between heaven and hell.” (U.S. Catholic, page 7) “What goes on in purgatory is anyone’s guess.” (U.S. Catholic, page 9)

Hello blessed couple ..May God give you continuosly COURAGE in doing your Mission .Can you please kindly give me the bookstore where i could order that BROCHURE ..I want to order and give to friends ..
Hi guys, My name is Casey McKee and I am a Catholic who was baptized Catholic as an infant but now I realize I have never had a strong faith. I attended Catholic elementary school but most of what I learned, I never processed in my heart. I attended the Norvus Ordo Mass my entire life and I think that was partially responsible for me falling away because I based my faith off feelings. We did not pray in my house, only meal prayers really. In junior high and high school, I got addicted to video games and porn. I would come home from school everyday and all I would do is play video games and view porn. On Sundays, my parents would take me to Mass, but the rest of the Sunday we spent watching TV or I alone playing video games. My situation really became bad when I left the Catholic Church after high school and for 6 years became a shut in, never leaving the house for anything except groceries. I watched TV and played video games and looked at porn all day. I did not work for my parents provided everything for me. I did not pray either and looking back on my life I never really prayed in the Name of Jesus, I just prayed the Rosary for a few years but that’s about it. Also I did not love my neighbor at all during this time. So I was not loving God. Anyways, 2 years ago I returned to the Church, thanks be to God (thats the other thing too, I never thanked God really growing up, I have always been very proud), however, I relapsed into my porn, masturbation and video game habits again for another year and tried to overcome it all on my own again with no help from God and quit praying again. Anyways all this to say, is that I am really afraid of going to hell brothers and sisters and I don’t know what to do. Jesus says if we do not bear our cross in this life we will not share in His crown of glory. Likewise I think in our world today we all assume we are all going to Heaven and that is exactly contrary to what Jesus teaches in the Gospels. He says narrow is the road that leads to eternal life. Both the Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen and St. John Vianney have said that if a Catholic does not pray or suffer for himself he is lost unless there be others who suffer and pray on his behalf. I know I am on the wide road that leads to perdition and I do not know how to get off it. I am relflecting on myself and I am consumed by all the vices. I am almost certain that no one was praying or offering sufferings on my behalf while I was away. My parents and no one around me see the real situation I am in. They think it is all fine. I need help brothers and sisters. I have priests telling me masturbation is a venial sin and my parents telling me I am a good person when reflecting on my life I havent done one thing that hasnt been selfish. What should I do? I have no Catholic friends to really turn to that understand my problem, nor my parents who think I have a mental illness and do not see the spiritual nature of what I am suffering. Please help me! I am desperately asking you to offer up and asking others to offer up some of your sufferings and prayers (specifically the Rosary) for my salvation? We are all One Body in Christ and I know that if you help me get to Heaven I will be eternally grateful! I am on the brink of despair. Thanks for truly considering this request, Your brother in Christ, Casey McKee P.S.- How do I get off the wide road?
Casey think only about the mercy of God. You know how he received his lost son. When he came back he embraced him with whole heart and prepared the best of everything for him. The joy of father cannot explain. Just follow the 5 pillars of faith. You will comeback to right path. The path of love, life and true God. First of all surrender yourself to God and say" father i am weak. I do not have any strength to overcome my sins and sinful situation. Only your love and grace can help me. I completely surrender my body, my mind, my heart and all that i have in my life to you. Forgive me and make me yours. Heal my soul and purify me with the fire of your love and mercy " Then start doing 1. Rosary 2. Regular confession and holy communion 3. Bible reading 4. Fasting 5. Acts of kindness You will see miracles the moment you surrender yourself. Rosary is most powerful weapon. God bless you ❤️
Regular Confession followed by Mass and Holy Communion will strengthen you spiritually. Weekly Confession at the start of the battle is good if possible. Stay close to the Blessed Mother. Just tell her you love her and want to love her more. 🙏
The Bible does not contain the word “Purgatory,” nor does it teach that the souls of those who have died are purified in purgatory. Faith in the blood of Jesus, not time in a so-called purgatory, purifies a person from sin. (1 John 1:7) Jesus gave “his life as a ransom for many” to pay for our sins. (Matthew 20:28) People who have died are unconscious and cannot feel anything, therefore cannot be cleansed by any fire of purgatory. (Ecclesiastes 9:5,10) There’s no punishment for sins after a person dies. Death is the full and complete punishment for sin. (Romans 6:7, 23)

I believe it’s very good to have a little bit of fear!! It keeps us in line & the confession line too. The problem with todays modernist priests they don’t teach sin! Some priest says I’m here in the confession box with the light 💡 on but maybe one or two shoes up! The solution he needs to start speaking about sin or learn it about himself! I have been to the SSPX & FSSP priest for confession & they let you know it’s a sin! This is wrong! They put that little bit of fear in you! I have been to the SSPX chapel & during holy mass along the side we’re about 25 people in line, hands folded, All woman & girls veiled, their eyes never off the priest or the Holy Altar and before & after they get on their knees & bow their heads entering & leaving the confession box! Most beautiful sight to see! Why because their priest teaches sin!
Catholic Church welcomes the faithful to increase devotion to the holy souls in purgatory. Hebrews 12:2 New Catholic Bible 2 with our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, ignoring its shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. you will learn about the poor souls in purgatory. No you won't as purgatory is a gruesome lie denying the total sacrifice of jesus for all of our sins . There is nothing left of our sins that must be atoned for by us. May these stories increase our prayers for the souls in purgatory. Wake up to the reality that 1. there is no purgatory 2. there are no souls caught between death and heaven for a final cleanup as Jesus has cleaned the repentant believer completely. 3. 1 Cor 6:11 tells you what you WERE . Read God;s written word for your truth and question everything Acts 17:11 if it does not line up with contextual scripture discard it.
I was Taught that we are Eternal Souls..Complete..Whole..Perfect..Already! We put on our Body Ego Suits and come to Earth to experience Life. While we are Here we are in the grip of the Ego and do Wrong things..to one degree or another. We Can Forgive EveryOne! And why Jesus Said on the cross..”Forgive them..for they know not what they do.” He Taught..Lived and Died to Teach us How to Overcome the Ego. But the only real Hell is here on earth when we are in the grip of the ego. When we die..We discard the Body Suit and return to the Soul we were in Heaven. The Bible uses Fear tactics of Hell to try and get people to be good. Jesus Teaches Better!

It really, really, really, really saddens JESUS when we opt for purgatory rather than what Jesus suffered and died for …. “”HIS MERCY”” which is talked about so little among todays Catholics! No wonder why our Lady will still cry!

I'm not a Catholic but I do believe that there is a place that could be described as a purgatory even though the word purgatory isn't anywhere in scripture. But in Luke 12:47-48 the Lord did warn that disobedient Christians will be beaten with stripes, some with many stripes. And in 1 Corinthians 3:15 the Apostle Paul warned that disobedient Christians will be saved but as yet by fire. So does that mean that the disobedient Christians will be beaten with stripes in heaven? I don't think so. And does what Paul said about it mean that disobedient Christians will be subjected to the fire of purification in heaven? I don't think so. Heaven is a place that fits the name. Punishment for disobedience will happen in a completely different place.
I read the verses you quoted. Oftentimes we mere humans misinterpret things written in the Bible. When select verses are quoted singularly, their true meaning is lost. In the context of the verses cited I don’t think the reference to fire is in the context of burning people. The reference to fire and what people have built with gold etc. means the the worldy things people place value on will mean nothing and the non-believers will exposed. Their “worldly pleasures and monuments” will mean nothing and do nothing to save them from the fires in hell, not purgatory (which doesn’t exist). Fire takes away man-made things which mean nothing to God or in heaven. What’s left is the person’s true values and belief in Jesus. Those are what Jesus/God will use to judge our entrance to heaven or helI. No need for a ridiculous made up place like purgatory… To really understand what’s in the Bible you have to read the entire thing several times. Individuals often pick singular verses to justify some belief, understanding they have or want to have. This is normal I guess. However, the Bible sends the real truth in several parables and quotes from Jesus’s time on earth. They all are linked and need to be read from start to finish. Taking a verse here and there is usually out of context and applied in the wrong way. The basic message of Jesus’s time on earth was that “people need to change the way they think and act” to get to heaven. Things are way worse now than in biblical times. The gate to heaven is far narrower now than it was then…
The punishment for disobedience is HELL. No torching of a person for an undetermined amount of time and then you get the ticket to heaven. A merciful God doesn’t “torch people” and then send them to heaven after Catholics jettison people out of Purgatory every November. 😀
@@dreamcreator2552 So what's your point? You seem to be talking in concentric circles that lead nowhere. Some people love to hear themselves talk (yawn).
Jim Yost, nothing unclean can enter heaven and that is why purgatory exists to purge the soul. Even though God forgives the repentant sinner there is still atonement to be made for the wrong doing. Purgatory has been described in many ways even as an upper level of Hell. The difference being that the soul knows it will eventually be with God. God has blest you with a grace of understanding, many Christrians have been taught falsely that once you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour into your heart that by his death and Ressurection you are saved forevermore. To me it is rather like a child who has been told not to play cricket in the front yard. While Dads at work the child disobeyed his Father plays Cricket and a neighbours window is broken. When Dad arrives home the child comes to his Father repentant of what he has done. The Father is rightfully upset at the child's disobedience and the harm done to someone else's property. The Father takes the child to the neighbours house where the child must humble himself and bare the consequences of his actions. The child must seek forgiveness from the neighbour and somehow make amends by fixing the broken window. The Father replaces the window for the neighbour and the child now needs to earn the money and compensate the Father. The child now has the task to earn the Fathers trust which he has lost and to work off the debt doing jobs instead of playing and having fun with friends. When we die it is our soul that chooses to be cleansed. There are true recorded events where souls have come from Purgatory asking for prayers. The time in Purgatory can be lessened by family and friends praying and offering Mass for those departed. All too often people forget to pray for these souls. Once in Purgatory there is nothing a soul can do for itself, it is completely reliant on the goodwill of others. When Our Lady appeared to the 3 shepherd children in Fatima they asked if a 16 yr old girl in their village was in heaven, Our Blessed Mother replied yes she was in Heaven. The children also asked about another girl who was 18 who had died if she to were in heaven, sadly Our Lady replied, no she will be in Purgatory till the end of time. It is far easier to make amends for our sins here on earth by fasting, doing penance and offering many prayers for our sins. The fire in Purgatory is much hotter then any fire on earth. This is also why we offer prayers for the suffering souls in Purgatory, when they are released they are so grateful for our prayers they will pray for us when we are i n need.🙏💕Godbless you and your loved ones.
Why would the poor souls be in fire, no other religion believes in this, I try to be a good Catholic, but really, the church just likes to scare the hell out of us🔥🔥
You shouldn't be afraid of purgatory because in purgatory you are saved and will be elevated to heaven. The other alternative is HELL, and you don't want to go there. Just thought it was silly of her to make that remark in the video that it is a scary place. Seriously!
Hi Ken and Janelle I just came across this video and I was wondering if you could do the “Month with our Friends the Souls in Purgatory” as a 30 day video based on the book. It sounds like an amazing book, but I can’t find it anywhere and also Janelle has such a beautiful voice. Thank you.
Jesus told the thief next to Him on the Cross that he would be with Him in Paradise. No purgatory for the thief. And surely he “deserved” purgatory. Sorry there’s no place as this place only made up by some pope years ago. God our loving Father is a merciful and loving God and looks to the heart of each person here on earth and gives ample time to repent. Don’t forget the Word says when we repent He forgets our sins as far as the east is from the west.
It sounds as though purgatory is a mainly catholic problem. Perhaps they should consider what that corrupt church is doing wrong. There is the priests behaviour with the alter boys to sort out for a start.
Please pray for my parents. My dad John died August 19, 2023 and my mom Rosemary died 17 days later on September 5th. It has been extremely difficult to say the least. They were married 61 years
Is this where the C.C. Gets the theory about purgatory? 1COR. 3: 14-15 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: BUT HE HIMSELF SHALLBE SAVED; YET SO AS BY FIRE. THIS ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE IS RECONFIRMING THAT YOU ARE SAVED AS BY FIRE. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WERE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH EVEN BELIEVES A PURGATORY EXIST FROM 1COR. 3:14-15.
Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” King James Version (KJV) When you die, decision has been made. The dead hear nothing and okay not. Purgatory is a made up lie to have paid for st. Peter's basilica. Catholic church is a money making machine, a lie straight from the pit of he'll. GOD said call no man father, for your father us in heaven. Paying money like judas, praying to the dead and asking the dead, who do not gear, to pray for you. Call g genesis a lie and says God makes mistakes. Its an apostate, blasphemous church, a false religion, hence, pope bringing in one world religion that is the antichrist religion. Wake up people, come out of her
I dont understand. God didnt create us perfect. We have original sins. We have our weaknesses. How can a good Father knowing our individual circumstances and weaknesses send us to a place just a little above hell? It seems God is vindictive if that is the case. No stone will be left unturned.
When I was a child and believed in this sort of thing, I always wondered where Purgatory was. Heaven was sort of up and Hell was down. I imagined Purgatory was somewhere in the middle, a place run by the Devil's team. The nuns who taught me ( very strange ladies ) told terrifying stories about naughty children going to Purgatory, and even Hell, which gave me occasional nightmares. This was part of a catholic "education" ( read brainwashing ) in the 1950s. Any intellectual thought applied to religion was discouraged, in fact not allowed. The nuns were often slightly deranged, cruel, sad creatures. It was a poor education but one I overcame through wider reading and learning to think for myself. At age 74, I'm amazed that anyone believes this silly stuff in 2022.
To believe in Purgatory is to believe that God isn’t capable of knowing whether the person believed in Jesus Christ. The Koolaid is pretty powerful in the Catholic Church. God doesn’t need people to pray for “souls.” God knows whether the person should go to heaven or not. You people know nothing of how these “souls” lived their lives and secondly have No power to jettison people into heaven. Only God can decide who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. God is perfect and knows the person. End of story. No second chances. Its black and white and God decides. The brainwashing is very effective in the Catholic Church.
@@pibly7784 In God’s eyes everything is black and white. Mercy doesn’t come from humans praying, it comes from the Lord himself. Not prayers from people who never knew the person or what their beliefs were or how they conducted their lives. God is a merciful God. Purgatory has no place with a perfect God, which is what God is. It only has a place to serve a purpose for certain humans. Talking to the “dead” or attempting to contact the dead is strictly forbidden. The two priests talking to each other as referenced in this video is just plain wrong in God’s eyes. Read the real Bible as it forbids attempting to contact the dead. The dead are not who they say they are. Faith and belief in Jesus is all the salvation that one needs. Not fools on earth acting like they have some power to intervene and change God’s plan for people who have already died. The second you die, your fate is sealed. End of story. God is perfect and does not need input from fools on earth to help him decide our fate. It’s pretty simple really.
It's easy to not believe. You don't have faith. It's that simple. As Catholics we believe that God not only heard our prayers. He yearns for them. People like you that are more interested in denying a work of faith are schismatic and therefore, we deny you.
@@michaellefort6128 I have faith and pray daily. What I don’t possess is belief in a thing called purgatory. I am a strong Christian and student of the Bible. I am not a Catholic . God/Jesus decides ones fate of heaven or hell at the time of death. It’s that simple.
@@dreamcreator2552 purgatory is in the bible and was believed in by the jews. You clearly just don't understand the doctrine. God knows everything,..including that even the saved are not fully ready to enter heaven upon death. It is the purifying fire which Paul spoke of in 1 Cor 3
Matthew 23:9 “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.” King James Version 1 Timothy 2:4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” King James Version GOD APOSTLES THAT HE CHOSEN FOR JESUS WAS NEVER CALLED FATHER NOR, PETER..., BY THE WAY JESUS IS THE ROCK, , Peter was THE TRUE TEACHING OF JESUS THE ROCK... THERE IS NO purgatory . Does JESUITS Even know Scriptures, Because they don't live by it.
No such place as Purgatory. Jesus paid for ALL our sins with His shed blood on the cross. Satan is fooling you. When you die you either go to Heaven or Hell. Your fate is sealed.
Please pray for my family. Our 29 year old son took his life tonight. I found him. God is close and that is sustaining us, but we need prayers.
Have offered up today’s Holy Communion for him
right now.🤗🙏🙏🙏🙏
I am so sorry for your loss, may God sustain you and your family at this difficult time, I too will offer up my holy communion for his soul 🙏🏻❤️

How heart-breaking. You are all in my prayers. Love, Veil

God bless you 💖
Oof plenary indulgence is pretty hard to obtain tho esp with the ‘detachment frm sin even venial’ clause
The Gate heaven was closed!
Amen.
NEITHER is there SALVATION in any OTHER: for there is NONE OTHER name under heaven given AMONG men, whereby we must be SAVED. (Acts 4:8,10-12)
I try to pray St. Gertrude payer everyday and my goal is to pray it enough so that I might help a million souls per year.
Yes, St. Mecthilde's Lord's Prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatori is a real gift to us because not only does it help the poor souls; it helps us very much.
Thanks for your thoughts
Thank you! I pray the Chaplet of Devine Mercy for the warrior souls in purgatory who have committed suicide due to PTSD.
Thank you for reminding us that we should pray continuously and devote ourselves to souls in purgatory.
May GOD have Mercy on the poor Souls❤
ST. Mechtilde prayer is beautiful. The story said every time she prayed this legion of souls were released from purgatory. Been praying this year followed by your St. Gertrude video on TH-cam. Thank you also for having Fr. Augustino back. God bless your family 🙏
Would you help me (I’m a newer Catholic) - which of the two prayers linked above is the one they were referencing in the video?

@@annejeon9073 I found this prayer in my Pieta Prayer Book and say it every day. I also pray for specific people as well. I feel called to do this because I think so many do not and I have been lax in the past about praying for family members.
St Mactalde's prayer of the Our Father for the souls of purgatory is one of my favourites and I say it daily.
I translated it into my mother language and put it on video on TH-cam.
I am sure that God will also take legions of souls from purgatory to heaven on the strength of my daily prayer.
I also offer plenary indulgences for the poor souls.
Thanks Be To God♥️🙏♥️ and Praise To You Lord Jesus Christ🙏🪔🙏🪔🙏🪔

I recently finished reading The Tortured Soul by Theresa Linden.. catholic fiction about Purgatory. So good.
Pride and being boastful and conceited is a sin. It isn't nice to be rude.
Qte: another sign of apostasy was the praying to saints and worship of images…
even in the days of Augustine (354-430) people began to invoke deceased saints…
Mary, the mother of Jesus, ‘blessed among women’, was unduly exalted, and the time came when she was looked upon as ‘the queen of heaven’, and worship was paid to her….
in the 4th or 5th century images were also placed in the church-buildings.
You are so right ... They are Amazing stories . ITS SO AMAZING that "grown ups " believe this S&!t.
Ken, could you please provide the book details as you mentioned that I may get a copy? Thank you so very much. God continue to bless you, your family and ministry.

Our Father, who art in heaven:
We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls whom Thou Thyself hast adopted as Thy children, that they have not loved Thee, and have cast Thee off, and have not paid Thee due honor. For atonement and penance, I offer You all the love and goodness of Your most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hallowed be Thy name:
I humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls for not having glorified Thy holy name, and for having often unworthily uttered it in their mouths, and for having often spoken it in an unsuspecting manner. For atonement and penance, I offer You all the sermons by which Your most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, has glorified Your holy name on earth.
Thy kingdom come:
We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive and pardon the poor souls that they have not desired Thy kingdom with burning love and longing desire, but have often enriched themselves with earthly goods. As atonement and penance for these manifold sins, I offer You the great covetousness of Your most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, with which He demands to receive all into Your holy kingdom.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven:
We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls that they have not submitted most humbly to Thy holy will, but have so often acted according to their own will, and thereby have not fulfilled Thy holy will. In reparation and penance, we offer up the Sacred Divine Heart of Jesus and His great submissiveness.
Give us this day our daily bread:
We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls for not having received Thy reverend Sacrament of the Altar with complete devotion and love. For all these sins I offer You the great holiness and devotion of Your Son, as well as His intimate love and unspeakable desire, with which He gave us this precious treasure.
And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us:
We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls their grievous guilt of sin, that they did not love their enemies and would not forgive. In expiation and penance for these manifold sins, we offer You the holy words of Your most beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, with which He spoke on the Cross: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
And lead us not into temptation:
We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls for not having resisted in the great temptations, but for having followed the lure of the evil one, and then for having been plunged into perdition. For atonement and penance, we offer up the obedience, the laborious labors, and all the bitter suffering and death of Your most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
But deliver us from evil:
We humbly beseech Thee, eternal, gracious, merciful Father, forgive the poor souls, and lead them and our souls, through the merits of Thy most beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, into the kingdom of Thy glory, which is Thyself. AMEN.
Therefore WATCH yourselves very carefully. Since you saw NO FORM form on the day that the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire,
beware LEST you act CORRUPTLY by making a carved IMAGE for yourselves, in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female, (Deuteronomy 4:12,15-16)

Thank you. Would you please share details about the book, author, etc? I really want to read this. God bless, Linda Hardesty
too many Catholics don't know about this and how they can help souls in Purgatory
GOD BLESS.
Can you reveal the author of that book please? I’m not finding it on Amazon. I pray daily for the poor souls. I’d love to read this book. TY
people don't realize you suffer in purgatory, and it is intense
The New Catholic Encyclopedia simply states: “In the final analysis, the Catholic doctrine on purgatory is based on tradition, Not Sacred Scripture.”
“The church has relied on tradition to support a middle ground between heaven and hell.” (U.S. Catholic, page 7)
“What goes on in purgatory is anyone’s guess.” (U.S. Catholic, page 9)
You sound amazing. I doubt you have anything to fear!

@@maripeterson1762 John20v22-23 Whose sins you forgive they are forgiven, whose sins you retain, they are retained. Also in Confession a priest can give advice to help. Confession is the practice of the Church since the beginning. Blessings

Rosary, praying for souls, purgatory…biblical verses please?
There are non there church doctrine mans made up rules
Hi guys,
My name is Casey McKee and I am a Catholic who was baptized Catholic as an infant but now I realize I have never had a strong faith.
Thanks for truly considering this request,
Your brother in Christ,
Casey McKee
P.S.- How do I get off the wide road?
Casey think only about the mercy of God.
You know how he received his lost son. When he came back he embraced him with whole heart and prepared the best of everything for him. The joy of father cannot explain.
Just follow the 5 pillars of faith. You will comeback to right path. The path of love, life and true God. First of all surrender yourself to God and say" father i am weak. I do not have any strength to overcome my sins and sinful situation. Only your love and grace can help me. I completely surrender my body, my mind, my heart and all that i have in my life to you. Forgive me and make me yours. Heal my soul and purify me with the fire of your love and mercy "
Then start doing
1. Rosary
2. Regular confession and holy communion
3. Bible reading
4. Fasting
5. Acts of kindness
You will see miracles the moment you surrender yourself.

I pray the Saint Gertrude's prayer which might help save 1000 souls from purgatory. Should I switched?
How do we know whether our loved ones are in purgatory?
The Bible does not contain the word
“Purgatory,” nor does it teach that the souls of those who have died are purified in purgatory. Faith in the blood of Jesus, not time in a so-called purgatory, purifies a person from sin. (1 John 1:7) Jesus gave “his life as a ransom for many” to pay for our sins. (Matthew 20:28)
People who have died are unconscious and cannot feel anything, therefore cannot be cleansed by any fire of purgatory. (Ecclesiastes 9:5,10)
There’s no punishment for sins after a person dies.

Love these stories but I couldn’t stand someone staring at me the entire time I was talking. Idk just my opinion. Keep up the awesome work!
Sorry I dont understand where can I find this prayer ?? 🤷♂

Why do you not open the rosary with In the Name of the Father..??
Catholic Church welcomes the faithful to increase devotion to the holy souls in purgatory.
Hebrews 12:2
New Catholic Bible
2 with our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
Wake up to the reality that
1. there is no purgatory
2. there are no souls caught between death and heaven for a final cleanup as Jesus has cleaned the repentant believer completely.
3. 1 Cor 6:11 tells you what you WERE .
My mom’s maiden name is Kostka. Her brother was named Stanislaus Alan Kostka but went by Alan. His mother never told him he was Stanislaus so when years later he went to get a copy of his birth certificate they said they didn’t have an Alan Kostka. 😅
After that my brother always called him Uncle Stanley which made him laugh.
I don’t understand how the 2nd story was painful

Engesztelő ima a tisztítótűzben szenvedő lelkekért
a te mindenek felett szeretett Fiadat, Jézus Krisztust.
Engesztelésül felajánljuk neked mindazokat a szent beszédeket,
amelyeket a te drága, szeretett Fiad,
a mi Urunk, Jézus Krisztus itt a földön, a te szent neved megdicsőítésére mondott.
Engesztelésül ezekért a sokféle bűnökért felajánljuk neked a te szeretett Fiadnak,
a mi Urunknak, Jézus Krisztusnak nagy vágyakozását,
Engesztelésül felajánljuk a te mindenekfelett szeretett Fiadnak,
Jézus Krisztusnak szavait, amelyeket a keresztről mondott:
a te mindenekfelett szeretett Fiadnak, Jézus Krisztusnak.
de szabadíts meg a gonosztól
Alázatosan kérjük, örök, jóságos és könyörületes Atyánk,
bocsáss meg a szenvedő lelkeknek,
és vezesse őket velünk együtt a te mindenekfelett szeretett Fiad,
Jézus Krisztus a te országodba és dicsőségedbe. Ámen.

th-cam.com/video/BarEtyeL2Po/w-d-xo.html Many, and I mean many are sooooooooo confused about going to purgatory. This fear does not come from GOD but from Satan. It really, really, really, really saddens JESUS when we opt for purgatory rather than what Jesus suffered and died for …. “”HIS MERCY”” which is talked about so little among todays Catholics! No wonder why our Lady will still cry!
One other thing: there's no sense of time on the other side. Because there is no time on the other side.
I wouldn't want to know what would be like beneath purgatory

I don't know what's so funny that the woman keep laughing
No need for a ridiculous made up place like purgatory…
To really understand what’s in the Bible you have to read the entire thing several times.
@@jimyost2585 The circles don’t lead to a place called Purgatory. Purgatory doesn’t exist.
The priest does not intercede. He is acting as Christ to hear our pleas and let us hear absolution. Because we are human and need to hear that.
Why would the poor souls be in fire, no other religion believes in this, I try to be a good Catholic, but really, the church just likes to scare the hell out of us🔥🔥
Is an anesthetic offered in purgatory ,,like my kindly dentist.
Hey are you telling for the soul of purgatory or to make viral in exchange for money in youtube
Don’t forget the Word says when we repent He forgets our sins as far as the east is from the west.
why would humans be less cruel than the' maker' ...these stories are simply made up to keep the sheep in line.
It sounds as though purgatory is a mainly catholic problem. Perhaps they should consider what that corrupt church is doing wrong. There is the priests behaviour with the alter boys to sort out for a start.
Ken where have you been? Love you show!!!
We’ve been here. 😀 thanks for watching.
@@Catholicspeaker Ken please pray for the soul of my son Kenneth Jr. Only 39 year's old. Lost him in May.
It’s the bad works that burn up, but you are saved if you believe the gospel 1COR 15:1-4
Where is purgatory in the bible? Why didn't Jesus or the Apostles teach it? Lu 16:26
Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
King James Version (KJV)
When you die, decision has been made.
😂
The couple is very superstitious unfortunately...
Has your wider reading and learning to think for yourself fostered within you a greater need for God, or a greater dependency on yourself?
If it’s so “ black and white” like you say- with no room for mercy on the way there- then we’re all in trouble.

1 Timothy 2:5

No such place as Purgatory. Jesus paid for ALL our sins with His shed blood on the cross. Satan is fooling you. When you die you either go to Heaven or Hell. Your fate is sealed.
