  • PREP UPDATE: it was pointed out to me that in this video I referred to the peppers seeds as the spicy component. This is in fact NOT true, rather it is the inner white flesh of the pepper that contains the heat! Sorry for any misinformation this may have caused! On an added note, you can use this spicy inner flesh and mix it with your cream cheese if you prefer a spicy treat, opposed to my more mild version!
Hey Everyone, checkout my revamped take on Jalapeño Poppers.
These are a real treat that are sure to please any guest you may have over, take them to a pot luck, or just enjoy them by yourself!
This video has been edited using a new editor with which I’m still figuring out but hope you enjoy none the less!
    Cheers,
    Andy

Happy belated birthday Andy! Thanks for reminding me that food prep is fun when its more of a meditation and less of a rushed process. :)

I like to blend finely chopped jalapeno bits and coarsely shredded extra sharp cheddar with the cream cheese, then pipe/stuff that filling into the peppers before wrapping them in bacon and smoking them.

@@hughjazz9875 That's in a charcoal smoker, not an oven. 350F for 30 minutes would be more understandable.

I would probably do 350-375 for no more than 30 mins in an oven. You want the cheese to be gooey whilst cooking the pepper and the bacon to crisp up. Make sure you use an elevated rack tho the same was I used on the smoker. Also my smoker is pellet driven, not charcoal, which allows me to maintain a better constant temperature.

@@MALATOVMUSIC I mainly smoke them that long as I like my bacon as crispy as I can get it… but you can certainly make adjustments to taste for sure.

Listening to you not pronounce jalapeños right is torture. Plus its not the seeds that keep the heat its the placenta that oozes oil onto the seeds. Thats a huge misconception that people have about peppers. Ask any of the major pepper growers on youtube and they will ALL tell you its not the seeds its the placenta

My apologies you are correct on the seeds not being the heat. I also have a Canadian British slang in voice which is most likely why I say it wrong. Thanks for trying to bring me down with such a rude tone though appreciate it!
