Hey peter, i would just like to say thank you for documenting your journey over the years of being a light house keeper and the tours of them. Ive always been fascinated for many years when i visited south stack light house when i was a child and always wondered what it would of been like to live and work them. Not long only discovering your channel and watching every single video and really enjoying them and so fascinated by them! Its a shame they automated the light houses. Anyway ill continue to watch and look forward to your uploads. Thanks peter your a legend!
Thank you very much, so glad you found my channel, and more so that you like the videos. Yes it is a great shame that they automated over here, but some countries have held onto some of their Lighthouse Keepers I've been led to believe. Thanks again for your kind words. Stay safe, take care and Merry Christmas.
That was a Bonus Having Josh talking about literally everything 😊 what an enthusiastic chap 👍, interesting that the tower's are not right on the coast but more in land on the inlets ...unless its to do with the bedrock 🤔 hope you and yours have a lovely Christmas Peter & Happy New year 😊 thank you for all your time doing the films ❤️ i am sure lots of people appreciate them even if they are not keen on leaving you a comment..... Thank You. 👍 🏴 👍😎
Thank you Barrie, much appreciated. Yes Josh certainly went the extra mile with us, really great guy. Not sure if the lighthouses in Florida are built where they are because it is so flat and that was the highest point or what, we had a few that were back from the sea too. You all have a Happy Christmas & New Year too, take care Mate.
How you doin' Peter, long time no see... wow that's fascinating, what a beautiful lighthouse and Josh presented the tour in such an informative way! That's great that this lighthouse is still in use! Yup the Seminole Indians that lived in Florida are no more, they are one of the tribes that got completely wiped out. It's heartbreaking when one reflects just how devastating the Native American holocaust was and still is. Thank you for the footage of the train that went past and the railroad crossing - as a railroad girl I love watching trains in different locations. Sadly here in the UK the railroad is going backwards and not back to the good old days but back to the primitive old days of the earliest trains... wish the people who are responsible for that would lay off whatever they are smoking!
Thank you very much, and yes Josh did us proud. I feel less sad when I see the "New Lighthouse Keepers", like Josh and others that really love what they are doing to preserve their/our past. We just hit the road heading South at the right moment for that train. Take care and stay safe, nice to hear from you again.
@@PeterHalil It's so important to preserve the past - though it is sad that it's all gone and only lives on in our memories. Everything is now computerized and it drives people crazy - the insanity now in society is unbelievable! Take good care too and stay safe too, these are troublesome times.
