@@MrSuperheterodyne Originally from Bala, spent all our holidays growing up on the island camping or around the Llyn peninsular. Beautiful part of the world ! Yes its a ham call, i still have my call in Wales.
I love your educational and detailed videos !!! My dad was a captain in bulk carrier ships and he was always taking about the British light houses , especially the ones in the channel. Regards from Ohio.
Thank you very much, much appreciated, and hello Ohio. Your Dad must have had some interesting tales to tell about his sea voages. Take care and stay safe.
Very interesting - thank you Peter. Having been brought up near Llanfechell the Skerries lighthouse is the one I feel the most affinity for. I can still hear the eerie sound of the foghorn on a foggy night in my mind's ear after over 60 years! Will you have a film on the Point Lynas lighthouse I wonder? Keep well and take care.
Hi Peter, I wondered if you had ever come across details of Arthur (Artie) and Lesley Blondin, both keepers during the war years. They are my great uncles, born in Alderney. Artie was on Wolf Rock and Round Island but I have little detail of dates etc. Any help with detail or where to find it would be wonderful. I'm in Guernsey and loved your Hanois films!
Hi, I have no idea myself, but have forwarded your message to the ALK, The Association of Lighthouse Keepers, to see if any of their members would know anything. The ALK can be found at, alk.org.uk/ So it is just wait till we get a response, hopefully from the ALK. Cheers and take care.
Hi again, Just been going through a list of Keepers that a Sid Squibb (Keeper from 30's) did and gave me a copy. There is one mention of an A Blondin being on Round Island 1935, and that is all I can find at the moment. Hopefully someone from down that part of the country may get in touch. Cheers for now, stay safe.
Did you hear about the death of Maureen Sweeney the former assistant keeper at Blacksod lighthouse who sent the weather report that decided when D Day would go ahead? She would have been an interesting keeper to interview.
Smashing as always. Lovely scenery. Thanks Peter.
Thank you David , you take care now.
Used to see the light of the Skerries from my bedroom window in Amlwch when I was a boy. Used to fascinate me.
Lighthouse beams at night time do have a fascination about them. Cheers and take care.
My Dad served on the skerries as PK …….good memories 😊
Thank you for that, who was he, and when did he serve? Cheers and stay safe.
Excellent video.
Thank you Liam, much appreciated. Cheers and take care.

Wonderful. Loved the keeper's recollections and the visuals, plus your tour. Great shots of the Dolphin glad you got those before your battery died.
