This lock is JUST west of lock 28a, and is obviously no longer in use.
It is behind the old store, which is currently a private house.
I'd like to thank Jim DeNearing for his time, and information on this.
The next few weeks will be concentrating on the Lock 28A area, which is the Westernmost Service area on the canal. We'll have some interviews with Jim, come coverage of some of the old work boats and tugs, the old dipper dredge etc
