I bought the Smallrig cage for my M50 a few months ago and was always fiddling with the Tripod plates spending extra time trying to get the screw to thread right and find a good position the gave me access to the battery if I needed it. Maybe I should have read the manual, but when you mentioned that the cage fits Arca-Swiss tripod heads, my head nearly exploded at this revelation. I tried it out after watching the video and it makes set up/breakdown so much simpler/faster. I wasn't going to watch this video, because I'm not super interested in the RP, but I'm glad that I did.
I'm not really into the Rp, but just watching your recommendations on these accessories are great and I've learned a lot from your videos, keep creating awesome content 😄
Filter - I have a UV filter for protection on my RF24-240. There are now 'protector filters'. So I bought that for my RF100-400. Lets in more light that the UV. Skin - if you don't need the extra accessory points of a cage, but want more grip / bulk, consider a cheap silicone skin. I have one for my R50. Great improvement on bulk / grip. Lens hood - JJC are fine. Protection as well as screening out sunlight. Extension rings - cheap alternative to macro. Snoot bag - Mine has a waist strap (like a bum / fanny bag). Camera on my hip. The rest in a small online cheap camera back pack. Much more comfortable setup and easier than slinging camera and or bag on/over the shoulder. Did that for over a decade and wonder why I never changed earlier on! Good news - Third party R series lenses are on the way!
Hey Mark I definitely would love a video of the different uses of this great tripod I bought upon your recommendation. The manual is not as detailed as you would like to
Great video for the beginners, like me, I bought all which you recommended, except I was previously bought RØDE WIRELESS GO 2 KIT, RØDE LAVALIER GO and RØDE FLEXCLIP GO SET and I get CANON DM-E100 microphone by cheap price at store when I buy my Canon EOS R7 with lenses and other accessories, I just need to buy EF/EF-S adapter which you recommend it (Artisan) and some good lens for the recording from near above kadar, gimbal by ZHIYUN and I filters for my lenses... Which gimbal you will recommend to me for almost standing recording at the table, tutorial, review and unboxing for a small thing's between this two: ZHIYUN WEEBILL 3S COMBO and ZHIYUN WEEBILL S KIT and where can I get that EF/EF-S lens adapter for my RF bayonet (Canon EOS R7)? Thank's a lot Sir and greetings from the Serbia!!!
“The most affordable full frame camera”. Might need some disclaimers in that one. I just picked up an original Canon 5d for under $200. But I jest*, I know you meant modern. (edited spelling, autocorrect) Another great video Mark, I look forward to every new video that comes out because I always learn something, even if I don’t have the exact camera you’re talking about.
What was that first small tripod you showed? I’m looking for one that stays low to the ground to get shots of reptiles (one that also mounts to the cage) thanks !
Pro-tip: to adapt vintage lenses, buy the EF-RF adaptor but instead of getting an M42-RF adaptor or anything similar to adapt to RF directly, get them as EF adaptors to use with the EF-RF one. Much cheaper and less bulky that one.
I'm RP user, however you will never shoot videos with RP, categories of accessories are good tho. My current settings are screen protector, extension grip, hand straps, lens hood, ND filter, backpack mount and two lens pouch for interchage. Super convenient shooting while I travel around the world.
Yes, the one I recommend is anti-finger print, dirt, dust etc, very easy to clean. I have had filters that are dust and dirt magnets, and hard to clean, like the budget Hoya filters.

Thanks for the heads up and suggestion.
The cage cannot be used with the EG-E1 extension.

Totally fair point! Thanks.
Thank you so much 15:16
Great Video but I can’t find the links for the two vintage Lenses.
What's the best wide angle full frame lens for a video like this one your shooting?
1:07 Hi, Can I ask which lens was used in this time? 🤔
TTArtisan 17mm F1.4 APS-C link in the description.
The screen articulates. You fold it away, so why the screen protector?😊
I tend to use the screen. If you only use the EVF, then the risk is much lower.

But will it get infinity focus?
@@Zejakov My lenses do so although I can't garantee it, I'd say yes from experience
@@lsamoa i will try it i guess
Review the VideoMicro II please!
Yes, it's on my list!

The problem with UV filters, especially if its the cheap ones and they are not perfectly clean, its like shooting through a window

why you should never get married.........lol
I second that !!!
