    Just to let every know, I have yet to false neutral since I installed the Barnett clutch springs. Couldn’t be happier with the bike right now. A pure joy to ride in every way.
    Peace 👍❗️

      So how is the shifting now? Still getting false neutrals? Did the upgrades help?
      Do you recommend the Barnett clutch springs and Rottweiler Ceramic Pro Shift Kit for 701 owners?

      I can’t speak to the Barnett clutch but I can definitely say the Barnett springs are the ticket on the OEM clutch.
      No more false neutrals for me. But I imagine if I were to try I could get one with a super light up shift using the quick shift (clutch less) shifting. It’s amazing.
      Thank you for watching and posting. Much appreciated!❤️

    You are 100% right, the factory too soft springs allow too much slippage and prematurely burn out the clutch discs.

      Absolutely!!!
      Either the CSK 129’s
      Or
      The Barnett springs.
      I’ve have both on hand and have the Barnetts in right now.
      No complaints. Much Better feel.

    Hello Motohead, good video, when i assembled the factory pro kit, when i put it in first gear it returns to neutral by itself, has that ever happened to you? Do you think that putting the OEM spring would solve it? Thank you.

    • @motohead5319
      @motohead5319  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey hey. Thanks for watching!!!
      That hasn’t happened to me before where it puts itself in neutral. I found that I did however prefer the factory OEM spring better than the one that came with the factory pro shift kit.
      It surely wouldn’t hurt to give it a try. Keep us informed please.

      Hello again, in the end the problem was the spring, it was too weak. I imagine it would be a defective unit.
      With the combination of the stock spring with the ceramic pro shift kit it is much better in my opinion too.

    Hi Motohead, I bought a pro shift kit with stainless steel bearings cheap. Just wondering, aren’t the ceramic bearings a bit of an overkill? Also, why are you using the stock shift spring over the pro shift spring? Just wondering.
    I will order the Barnett springs. Very helpful video! Thanks!

    • @motohead5319
      @motohead5319  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good day RC Wasp
      I think the stainless steel is fine. Might be better than the ceramic but felt at the time for a little more I’d go for the ceramic one.
      I use the stock shift spring because it’s stiffer than the pro shift kit spring they provided, which it actually hit false neutral in 4th gear when it never did that before. So I put back the OEM stock spring and it’s like magic combined with the Barnett clutch springs.
      Super happy now. I can find neutral when rolling to a stop if I want to on either the up or down on the shifter.
      Love this bike. ❤️❗️
      Got out today actually and the weather was tits perfect 👍

      @@motohead5319 Awesome mate! Yeah I just picked up a 2019 KTM 690 and love it so much. Will definitely be keeping it for a long time. Have just ordered the Barnett springs. Just curious, should I leave the stock shifter in and just replace the clutch springs or do you recommend installing the pro shifter as well?

      You can try the stock shifter and see for your self. I often wonder would it would be like but I didn’t try that combination,

    I’m running the Rekluse Radius X Autoclutch do you have any idea how the springs would compare to the Barnett springs? I never did mic the springs. I am getting false neutrals and was going to replace the shift kit. Wondering if I need to do the springs too.

    • @motohead5319
      @motohead5319  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching. 👍
      I feel the pro shift kit spring is too weak and actually got false neutrals between 4th and 5th whereas before I was just getting an occasional one between 5th and 6th before. So I put in the OEM shifter spring and continued to use the ceramic pro shifter. It was way better. Later I tried the csk 129 springs by ebc and feel those springs made a huge difference. Then tried the Barnett ones which I feel are even better.
      So far no false neutrals. Shifts more positive and with easy effort.
      MotoHead 👍
      I’m not sure on your set up so I can’t speak intelligently about it.
      But I do know based on my experience that longer, stiffer clutch springs make a huge difference in the way the clutch engages and shifts.

      Hey.
      Thanks for asking. Yep. Longer and a better feel than the csk 129’s. Although the 129’s felt great and a huge improvement over OEM, the Barnett springs are the ticket imo. It’s like a whole new bike and can’t wait to get on my 701 today and ride.

      I know they make clutch springs as well but ok, I'll take the Barnett's. For the shift arm spring, I've read on Facebook that this reference : 60034023200 from ktm/husky is a reinforced springs. I will check that at my dealer but I think I'll go with it, in addition to the Barnett's clutch springs
