How To Install Monster Fairings | Suzuki GSX-R 600 Rebuild | Part 6

  • Installing Monster Fairings on a K7 Suzuki GSX-R 600 is an easy and straightforward process. This set is a custom-designed set of Gixxer fairings made to look like the new GSXR models. I also had the lower tank fairings painted to continue the SUZUKI lettering which I think makes these aftermarket fairings look amazing. I hope this visual "How-To" helps you install your new Monster Fairing kit, I tried to show as many steps as I could. Also, they did send me out a new tail section at no cost to me. I'll have a discount code for Monster Fairings soon.

      I am all about OEM parts, but in my country (Denmark) a full set fairing for a Gsxr 2007 is 6.600 dollars.. A Monster Fairing kit is 700 dollars.. It’s a no-brainer 😂

    • @mendingmotos

      @@idareyouboigaming7182 Wow that’s pricey! Then yea aftermarket fairing are the way to go. I have had all different brands and as long as you ok with the idea of them not being oem. They do the same thing, give the bike the look of a super sport bike lol hope your gsxr build goes smoothly!

      @@mendingmotos The downside of living in a country that is heavily taxed.. I’m okay with aftermarket parts, as long the quality and fitment come close to OEM parts. Did the tank cover made the tank wider? Or did it have fitment issues? I’m about to order my fairing set and I’m unsure about the tank cover

    • @mendingmotos
      @mendingmotos  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not much wider other than the thickness of the cover itself. And it fit on really great and it really brought the whole bike color scheme to the next level! I highly recommend them and they were so fast to replace the broken tail piece which was a relief lol.

      @@mendingmotos my plastics cracked below the seat all the way across the middle part. I live in AZ and the heat beats plastic up bad. so I plan to order a set and liked one from Monster. The question I have is, what is the quality of their plastic. seen the broken part and starting to think maybe look else where due to the HEAT here .

    • @mendingmotos
      @mendingmotos  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think as far as quality they are the best non oem route, I did an eBay brand called zxmt and those melted near the headers on my r6 build even with extra heat protection. This set for the gsxr from monster (other than the piece that broke in shipping due to it not having a support rod) has not melted or distorted. I have seen a set of amotopart and they felt thinner and so did auctmarts fairing kits. One thing I will stress is try to get real oem bolts, the bolt kit monster sends for free… they feel like plastic painted silver I snapped several of them and with two finger righting you could feel them stretching and about to give. But over all I do recommend monster over other bands. Hope this helps

      @kevintunaley5079 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@mendingmotos thank you so much for the reply. so skip the bolt set and get OEM but the fairings themselves were good then ? I'm likely going to paint or wrap the tank vs that cover though.
