- It takes a lot to feed our crew, but we work together to get it all done! We go grocery shopping twice a month (besides a few quick runs for random items) and we shop at 3 stores: Sharp Shopper, Aldi, and Giant. In this video, we are also stocking up from our trip to Blessings of Hope, a service project that allows you to shop at their store. Come join us!

It would be fun to see what you get for back to school supplies as well😊. When that time comes.
Great idea!
I'd really love to see a kind of "what we eat in a week" sort of a video!! Then we can see the sort of go-to meals you guys use these groceries for. Thank you for sharing!!
I've been meaning to do one of these. It takes a little more time because I'd have to record a little every day over a period of time rather than doing all my recording on one day. Definitely still hoping to do one though, so hopefully I can get one out there sometime in the near future!
I loved seeing your haul! How funny (and awesome) that he enjoys the shopping. I avoid it at all costs usually by doing curbside pickup. I will take any of your tips of the food management at home. I feel like planning, cooking, cleanup in the kitchen is so mentally taxing for me. Like we can't get out and do things because of needing to cook. I like to cook from scratch. My constant struggle
I can relate! Making meals does take a lot of time. It can get exhausting! I used to double everything so we could always have leftovers and I could have another night off, but over the years with our growing family... doubling, and even tripling just feeds us for one meal with no more leftovers to be had. I think when you cook from scratch, it just does take a little more time, but for us, quality food is important, so we usually go that route. One thing I don't spend time doing is meal planning. I have a lot of meat in the freezer and a list of popular meals we like and we just make meals from that.
Great haul!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you, that was interesting as all your videos are, thank you for taking the time to make one even though you had a busy week. I hope you and your family had a great time camping. :)
I'm so glad! You're welcome :) We did! It's so nice to get away every now and then!
eu amo os seus videos.voces sao inspiradores, muito obrigado
You're welcome!
My kids always open the croutons too 😂
Haha, that's funny! Never thought croutons could be so tempting, lol!
Great insight 😊 my shopping was huge with 5 children….i thought 😂❤
Thanks! Haha, I can relate! When we had 5 and they were all younger it was also hard...just a different kind of hard.
My husband doesn't go to the store unless I drag him...and then he acts like a 3 year old. Definitely a sore spot in our marriage 😂
All that to say, I take the kids or go by myself
I can understand. We all have our tough spots and everybody is different. I say find what works in your marriage even if it looks different from somebody else.
How do you also stay so fit and lean and work fitness into your routine?
Thank you for the compliment!
I've not always been the best at consistently doing a workout routine, but I do try to walk regularly.
What has helped me more has been watching what I eat. For the most part, I cut out sugar and white flour (except for sourdough bread). We try to eat unpackaged food...mostly meat, veggies, fruit, and 85% dark chocolate. ;) I eat some dairy, but limited amounts. Lots of raw veggies and fruit instead of crackers, snack bars, and potato chips.
That’s awesome you’re husband does the shopping! Do you meal plan and write a list for him beforehand?
Yes, it is!
I don't meal plan. I have a list of meals that we use as a reference and because of that, we buy a lot of the same things each trip. If I run out of things, I jot them down on my planner, but other than that, we talk through what we're out of quickly before he leaves. But he mostly gets the same things every time.
Oh gosh, we go as a family, but my husband does the shopping while I hold the babies and keep the rest in check. I like to come along, you could say. One time we had to go to urgent care for which we left house suddenly (in our dingy play clothes) and the family outing got us over to Walmart pharmacy... While my husband was checking out, I was standing to the side with all the kiddos....a lady gave me money 😅 I am guessing we were pretty rough looking bunch. Family of 6 at the moment.
Haha, oh my! That's funny! I can relate!
When our kids were little we went as a family too. With a lot of older kids, it's easier for him to take them without me (than it would have been when they were all little) and we both try to give each other some alone time without the kids when we can.
