    Thank you, Carol and Matthew!
"Please don't ask for a hearing." I did this on purpose in Feb 2007 to have more time to get new evidence and I didn’t have a lot of VA knowledge. I met with a BVA traveling judge, along with one GA Appeals Officer, Dec 2014. The judge requested a nexus letter within 30 days, and we requested 60 days. I received a nexus letter on the 55th day. It was tougher getting a nexus letter during that time.
I am glad I provided the doctor a sample nexus letter to assist him because I probably would not have made the 60-day requirement. My claim (remanded and C&P exam) was granted in Aug 2015, 8 1/2 years. My retroactive pay was $34K, great investment for a $5.00 nexus from my private doctor.
I was not frustrated waiting for the BVA decision because I used my time working and getting educated on the VA claim process. I received my 100% P/T Jan 2014. God is always good!

Have you ever dealt with gout? Hubby just had his 3rd attack where he could barely walk, it aggravated his PTSD. Can this be secondary to DDD & radiculopathy or sleep apnea?

The Perfect Storm: The veteran's doctor has gone through 8 - 12 years of intense post graduate medical training and has been treating the veteran for 25 years. The C&P examiner has gone through a maximum 2 years of post-graduate medical training as a CNP or no post graduate medical training as a PA. Here is the amazing part of this Chinese fire drill; the rater has NO medical training. The rater is by far the most important cog in the machine. They are responsible for interpreting extremely complex medical reports and determining what award the veteran will receive based on the advanced medical reports. That is right! A High School Graduate is making the final decision. WHAT?

I always treated an Intent to File like a blank check. Once you use it, you have to create another one.

    2. Also, do you know anything about Periodic limp movement? His Dr. Doesn’t & his sleep apnea Dr. Only deals with RLS.

Been diagnosed with sciatica. Now have mri showing spinal stenosis l-3 l-4 lumbar. Already have 10% Lumbosacral strain rating. Starting PT and pain management. When should I file a increase or secondaries? Spinal stenosis not diagnosed as I can't see a specialist till PT or pain management fails.

I'm a reservist on long tour orders, I filed a BDD claim in the correct timeframe. What will happen to the claim if my orders get extended?

Does VA need both a DBQ and IMO? I had a C&P and they submitted both to VA. I just wonder because they seem to conflict with one another.
