Webtoon reader here: this is the SAO that everybody wanted. The MC gets some of the coolest powers and abilities I've seen in anime, on top of being basically as strong as One Punch MAN. It's a power leveling masterclass that is honestly quite shallow in terms of the overall story, but damn if it isn't an absolute ball to read and watch XD
THIS. I pitched it to my friends with pretty much that exact promise - that it is everything they WANTED SAO to be. Is it deep? Lol, no. Is it exactly the edgy, epic gamer power fantasy that SAO promised us in its first episodes? Hell yeah! Not every piece of media has to be some belief-shaking, identity-forming, horizon-widening thing. Sometimes it's enough when something is just really... fun.
Nah, original season SAO was the SAO we wanted. And it was better than this. Honestly, SAO does get very generic and wish fulfillment later on, but it does it better than the Solo Leveling anime at least. SAO Didn't promise edgy, epic gamer power fantasy like whatever @sleepysera thinks. I can't believe you even think that. It was a death game, from the very beginning. It was about struggle. Solo Leveling is not about struggle. It's about "man, what if life was extremely easy?" but yeah, not everything has to be deep. If you enjoy it, that's cool. Just like, don't compare the two since they aren't the same.

There isn't an anime this season that doesn't cater to it's MCs every whim- Boy, have you seen Weakest Tamer? Ruined? Lol
@@Sinfoli mean im still watching but i wanted the show to be flawless
its just one of those animes where you can like just see a weak guy then he becomes an op guy that kills everything and get even stronger
holy shit salovs is doing youtube sponsorships?
Holy shit, Salvos jumpscare. Read that book when it first started
Viral hit is also getting an adaptation
Solo Leveling is not and probably won't be my favorite anime, but it for sure has my favorite manga. (Manwha is basically manga 😭😭😭)
I need to see Thomas Andre animated 💯💯💯
What do you mean no such anime on this season? Did you forget?
One Piece is always an option :D
Good story, good writing, AMAZING world building, and EVEN MORE AMAZING Characters! And it's always in the Ongong section waiting for you to watch it! ^_^
solo leveling story is great, its peak hasn't reached in the anime yet,
wow
salvos
i remember dis one
i read solo leveling three times, because its hype. Sure its a power fantasy, sure there isn't emotional questions, and sure it lacks creativity. But when did every piece of media have to become a philosophical question of who you are. People need a break from life, and an over-the-top, bombastic, and utterly action packed series is enough to do that.
I really do like the show
Well I'm a 14 plus 3 years old, so yeah this show is made for me :)
I'm a spider so what, was also a really nice series similar to this genre.
