The best thing about this game is not about how beautiful, or how complex and yet simple it is: "You wanna float through, see the sights and enjoy the story, reminiscing about years of nostalgic memories? Go ahead and enjoy the ride, fellow soldier." As opposed to: "You wanna get your fucking ass kicked on Hard Mode learning how the mechanics work in some of the toughest shit you've ever dealt with in a video game? Good fucking luck and may God have mercy on your soul and grant you eternal perfect parries."
I love your video, they're really good and easy understandable, also, the way you come up with builds and strategies available for all range of player is a true bless, keep up the good work!
Good vid, but the yuffie method was the one that worked for me, it made me easily beat each round in just a couple of minutes. Except for sephiroth, that one I just got really lucky once. Its a shame that these post game challenges suffer from an extreme lack of balance😢
Wow you finished Odin off so quickly. I can’t even.. lol I try not to get hit so he won’t use Zantetsuken. And you took down Sephiroth quickly too, my goodness

Damn good job! Revival materia not even required could give more offensive power instead that's impressive
Sir, you've earned a sub from me because I almost beat Gilgamesh and am still in the process of "getting good". Your videos are the only thing giving me hope that I can do it. Sometimes I wipe the floor with everyone up to him with a Tifa, Cloud, Barret party, sometimes not. I still want to do this before replaying Hard mode and I'd like the accessory so I can show my gf the game with it.
I gotta say, as crazy as your fights are, most people who struggle with this fight still don't understand how powerful Transendence is or how Synergies work with the R buttons. Also, you really do need to mention that you're level 9 with all manuscripts on hard mode! That makes a yuge difference.
Made this fight look so easy... My issue is when you die on gilga or sepheroth because lack of practice and no way to practice those two... Every summon can be fought in the sim but not them...
For the most part it seems to be about giving aerith arcane ward and buffing her magic with faith, targeting enemy weakness until stagger and then casting big spell with aerith twice thanks to the arcane ward and help with chip damage with the other two if necessary. Of course each of the first three rounds have their own gimmicks to keep in mind (for example killing phoenix in one go before it summons kujata back etc...)
Kujata, Titan and Gilgamesh have fat elemental weaknesses. Titan is always weak to wind. Greg is always weak to fire. Kujata will become weak to either wind, or fire, or sometimes both. Alexander is weak to lightning, but tbh he's so squishy that you don't really need the lightning. Open with Cloud/Aerith synergy skill spell blade, then switch to Aerith/Tifa synergy skill. This will give everyone nearly full ATB then you give Aerith Trancendence and Arcane Ward, give Tifa unbridled strength, have Cloud bravery/faith to proc ATB assist. For Kujata, try to fill Aerith's gauge with spell blades before Kujata gets a weakness, then have her -aga him in the ward. Cloud does double focused thrust to proc ATB assist again. Make sure Tifa gets 3 synergy points so she can use the Aerith/Tifa synergy ability as soon as Kujata dies. Either ATB boost Aerith so she can Trancendence 2 Phoenix, or have Cloud proc ATB assist again. For Titan, same opener. Cloud/Aerith skill, then Aerith/Tifa skill. Titan's shield will break or almost break (with my stats). After you break it arcane Ward and ATB boost Aerith, so she can double Aeroga Titan. Reverse Gale on Tifa because Titan is weak to wind. Faith/Bravery on Cloud to proc ATB assist. Reverse Gale again and Titan will be almost dead because of Aerith's 40k worth of Aerogas, then clean up Bahamut. Odin needs lots of punisher parry but you need to be careful that Alexander doesn't snipe you, so pause a lot and be careful. Pop bravery/faith after your first parry. Once Odin uses slepnir's furor, you can double focused thrust him before he has time to reprisal you. Gilgamesh is the hardest fight. You just need to practice him a lot and get some spell blades off on him. Arcane ward early and try to build everyone's ATB til he uses genji shield. After he does, pelt him with fira's with every character on arcane ward to break the shield, then parry and pressure him carefully til he gets staggered. Sephiroth is just a parry check. Parry his shadowy chains and then nail him with focused thrusts and overpowers til he gets pressured. It'll fall apart if you can't parry shadowy chains.
Damnnn those hp bars just melt!!! The genji gloves are insane. Do you reckon without them but pulling this strategy off would work? I haven't crafted them yet, wanted to do these challenges before I did hard mode but I may have to leave it and build those genji gloves first
You don't need to really do hard mode first. Just chapter select into chapter 13, and go kill the enemies that drop the ingredients. But you really should get to level 70 first.
@@aethertruckah yes that would definitely be easier. That would make the hard run easier as well. I'm already level 70, so that's fine. It was the first thing I did after I beat the story. I've beaten the first four brutal challenges as well. Might take a break and max out the rest of the materia I got and craft the genji gloves - they should make brutal 5 and 6 a little easier to do
@@surajshergill7777 the genji gloves are great for the brutal challenges, but useless on hard mode story. It takes way too much MP to seriously break the damage limit anyway, and most bosses can't die in 1 hit anyway because of scripted phases. The götterdammerung is great for it though!
@@aethertruck works for me, I'll take it! Anything to make these brutal challenges easier. Number 4 was god awful. I really want the gotterdammurung for hard mode, that's why I want to do these challenges. Also because I need that last trophy for Johnny lol. How do the genji gloves work with the legendary battles? Do they make much of a difference in your opinion?
Thank you for your content, Im using your strat man and it's the most consistent by far but I always choke as soon as I'm against Alexander and Odin or worst Gilgamesh. 😂 by the way how do you get additional materia slot on Tifa's Dragon Claws? I got only 4 on them.
You need all the manuscripts. When you reach weapon level 9 they go from 4 slots to 6 slots. You'll need to do hard mode plus every side quest AGAIN, also in hard mode, to get them all. Tonberry King gives Tifa a manuscript in hard mode, and there are some manuscripts in the moogle medal vendor and also the gold saucer battle arena GP vendor
Fully decked out magic attack Aerith with faith buff and genji gloves. Kujata went lightning elemental which makes him weak to wind, so I doublecast Aeroga in the arcane ward. The two of them did about 40k
I chose the team without having the best ideas. Aerith having trancendence was a no brainer because it did like 30k to a staggered target without genji gloves because it did 10 hits. Tifa was obvious because she builds stagger like a fiend. Cloud was obvious because he can parry Odin and Gilgamesh, but even with all those basic ideas my first win took me nearly 30 minutes. After I won once, I started using the reward (götterdammerung) to have fun with it. While doing all those kills, I started to get ideas. Tifa hit 9999 a lot, so she should have genji glove. She could hit for over 15k at the end of staggers. But Aerith is always doing 9999 with her -aga spells on weak targets... she could probably do a lot more with genji. So after that I gave empowerment to Cloud, faithed Aerith up, and started wrecked elemental weak targets without needing to stagger them. So that's the major timesave in this build. Killing Kujata and Titan super quick using their elemental weakness. It took about 10 wins to filly refine the strategy to what you see now with spellblades, ATB Boost, first strike on the correct characters, using counterstance to proc ATB assist when I'm about to get hit, and finally deciding to get all the manuscripts so they could have that little bit of extra power to take it over the top
You mean the counterattack? Entering punisher with perfect parry timing enables a stronger counterattack than just blocking while already in punisher. Odin has tells for all of his attacks so they're really easy to time.
@@aethertruck thank you. And yeah, sorry, I meant the punisher/counterattack mode. But when odin does his charge, I go into punisher mode for the parry, and after the first counter attacks cloud gets stuck in the counter attack animation, and even if I try the next parry, he doesn’t do it. Do I have to do an animation cancel or something? :O
@@AsymptoticGamingMP You need to release the block button and then push it again with good timing, about one second after your first parry. It seems that after 4 charge parries in a row, the charge hitbox goes away
@@aethertruck thank you. I’ll give it a shot. Maybe my timing was just off. Cloud just always does the counter attack instead of parry after the first one. Hopefully I can get it down. Thank you ^^

And I even completed tifas legendary challenge to get the manuscript points. Also finished all chapters on hard difficulty and I'm still showing 4 materia slots.
