    The stealth line is a 2 piece and uses the cxn rubber connector that dampens the vibration. That's why it sounds "dead".

      I swung a two piece quatro and a two piece mako and neither sounded dead like that

    • @LouisFarraconn
      @LouisFarraconn 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@Tellaz the earlier stealths had a noticeable joint. The newer 2-piece lines have more of a press fit sleeve which feels more like a one piece. The older joints could get loose after a while and the bat would actually wobble at the joint. That doesn't happen on the newer joint design.

Esaton is one fine outfit !!

  • @rc1267
    @rc1267 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Suprised havent read any comments about the Easton Redline c-core. It was an amazing bat made from SC 500 scandium, the same alloy used to launch missiles under the polar ice caps. That was before they made 2 3/4 inch barrels illegal though. I actually still have mine. It was a slick looking bat too, with the gray finish and redline c-core branding in red. I dont think his stealth is dead, they did have that sound when hit on the ground cuz of the dampening from it being a 2 piece. It sounded right when he made contact with sweet spot of the bat. Could be wrong but sounds like I remember it sounding. Should always check aluminum bats by turning em upside down over and over to see if you can hear any small piece of the aluminum or if the bat had an inner lining of some kind like carbon fiber the c core had has broken inside. You'll be able to hear it rattling up and down the bat if it has. Someone said he needed to hit fast pitches with it, not off a tee they're right. That bat as well as the red line and some other types trampoline effect needed the extra energy to get the alloy to compress enough to get the optimal spring out of it. Temperature plays a big role as well. Should always make sure an aluminum bat is nice and warm. When they're to cold they're not nearly as effective. That's how you break em as well. Even in mid summer sometimes you can have a bat to cold from sitting in an air conditioned basement all day then getting it to the field if it's put in a shady spot, like the dugout or if you have a covered on deck circle it can take it awhile to get up to temperature. Always keep it wrapped with a barrel cover or tape whenever you take it to the cages as well. I knew better but still used my 1st redline at the cages in the winter after having it in the car and making an unexpected visit to the cages. I snapped it clean in half. I was so pissed cuz my stupid decision cost me a 350$ bat that I liked so much I was gonna end up spending another 350 for a new one.

    If you want the trampoline effect with the Easton comp. you have to break it in. It takes awhile but after you use it for some time you’ll notice the sound change to a deeper tone. That’s when you get mega bombs

  • @The_Bass_Stunters

    Bro these are two different types of composites in these bats. Honestly it’s going to be hard to beat that Marucci black. That was one of the hottest bats ever made next to my 1997 green TPX Omaha! Cracked 13 bombs in 28 game season bruh! Nice stroke btw!

  • @MIL-we9bb

    Sorry to break it to you but your Stealth is just a done. Those high end Connection bats had a shelf life, after each hit the life of it dies down over time. After many hits it eventually became like a wooden bat. (Thats the reason for the sound check) but to really check the life of the connection bats like the Stealth you have to tap the barrel with something solid like a metal rod. If it makes a loud TINK! It still has life. If it makes a low THUD sound its near dead.

  • @sonsofliberty3081
    @sonsofliberty3081 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Before the switch to bb core, back in the later 90s, they made everyone go to a heavier bat. It used to be 5oz less than the inches long, then in 97ish it went to -3.

    I’m 26 and I got the privilege of using BESR bats until I was a senior. That orange stealth has always hit bombs. They also had a green and silver that was only made in -5 that actually had more pop but couldn’t ever use it in a game because it was a -5 with a 2 3/4 barrel. Anyhow whenever we bought a new Easton we’d have guys waiting to hit in the cage take practice cuts against the wood lightpole outside to break them in. After a few hundred cuts it was good to go.

    Woah woah, I think we can all agree the Combat B1 DA Bomb was the most hot/juiced bat of all time. I remember every team used to use it in travel tournaments. 12-13 year olds used to put balls over 320-340ft fences with that bat haha. Then bbcor came in and boom high school homeruns were almost nonexistent.
