Imagine throwing a ball against a brick wall versus a mattress, which one do you think the ball is going to bounce off better? It's the exact same principle. Uncorked bat is better, you're just hitting the ball more times with the corked one to get the results you want. Even then, the speed test you did shows that on average the uncorked one hits it faster.
A properly corked bat is significantly lighter and can be swung so much faster, which is the whole point. Not to hit the ball further, altho many Pro's did see gains in how far they were hitting the ball because of the bat speed.

It's a myth that a corked bat gives you extra distance because of the spring effect, it's more about allowing someone to just have more velocity on their swing since the whole bat is lighter.
the physics for this can only be measured correctly if you are hitting a ball that is moving. The response time from the radar detector is set at a "tar" and if that tar is not present the detection will always be off the scale. Try going to a batting cage,

There is NO way of determining if the theory with what you did here because there are too many factors. Multiple machines with precise positioning of the bat, and ball, that can produce a constant speed, which can be measured by a fixed measuring device would be needed to pull this off.
The belief with corked bats are with a lighter bat, you can generate more bat speed and hit the ball farther. There is no "trampoline effect". Pro bats are not to be more than a drop 3 inw weight.

2 things, the cork only makes the bat lighter, it does not turn the barrel into a spring, and also, that’s not how you cork a bat.
Do a search for Chris Sabo Corked Bat and you’ll see who a corked bat actually looks like and you can reverse engineer it from there.

There is NO way of determining if the theory with what you did here because there are too many factors. Multiple machines with precise positioning of the bat, and ball, that can produce a constant speed, which can be measured by a fixed measuring device would be needed to pull this off.

The belief with corked bats are with a lighter bat, you can generate more bat speed and hit the ball farther. There is no "trampoline effect". Pro bats are not to be more than a drop 3 inw weight.
