I owned one of those Eastons back in the 90s. I thought it was over rated and had a really small sweet spot even with 47 core balls or Gold Stitch Thunders. A guy gave me 500.00 for it years later so I sold it.
Play the no flinch game. throw fastballs past each other’s face. Take bp standing really close to home on the 3rd baseline etc., flinch first and lose round. Fungo bat golf with baseballs. Hit closest to various targets with different kind of hits like fly ball and grounders.
Baseball bats are at a mechanical disadvantage when hitting softballs. They’re lighter and faster. The softball is bigger, not as hard as a baseball and needs a slower, heavier hit....whereas the baseball needs a faster, somewhat lighter hit. To hit a baseball, pitched at 90mph, ~400ft, I believe I only needed a bat speed of ~130mph...golf ball driven ~375yds...club head speed was like 185mph. Now...height and leverage (length of the levers-arms and legs) have a lot to do with it too...and timing of the HIPS!!!! That’s experience...hips lead slightly... big difference in hitting power
Actually that bat was legal up to 1995 however Among The Big Three, Louisville Slugger,Worth, and Easton, Easton had the third best titanium bat. Titanium bats were outlawed halfway through that last season in 1995.
For the next video you should set up the L screen at home plate and stand in center field and get 5 throws each. If you hit it on the fly 5 points, if you hit it on a one hop 3 points, if you hit it on a two hop 1 point, and if you hit it on more than two hops then no points.
I'd like to give a helpful tip. I've noticed that both you guys are hitting the ball out in front. This is why your hits land at the base of the fence. To fix this, make a strong effort to stay on your back leg longer. This will be hard because you'll have to wait for the ball to get deeper into the strike zone. If you try this out, you'll notice your upper body staying back. David Ortiz and A.Rod are good examples of this.

Then the Louisville Slugger version came out and it was the same. Composites were next.

Those 1st gen Synergy bats were game changers for Easton but they had tough competition from Miken with the FREAK.
