I think racquets like the Pure Drive are more suited for advanced players who are able to properly control its power. Beginners might struggle with control and end up just bunting their shots to make sure the ball doesn't fly out. This will reinforce bad stroke mechanics at a time when they're learning.
Exactly. I am playing Tennis for less than a month and I bought Pure drive 100 . My only problem is control. The racket is overpower and it is really hard to control the ball specially when you hit 2 or 3 times in a rally. However, you can easily see your shots drop at the end of the court and keeps the opponet busy.
@davood1370 You need to get the racket under the ball before swinging upwards to get topspin. It's hard to explain in a comment obviously, but a good coach can help. You also have the option to try less powerful rackets for a while and develop good technique with that before coming back to the Pure Drive, but it's not necessary.
I would say it has a completely different feel than an ezone, but it still has its own feel - crisp and explosive. Yonex is always very muted, and the vdm dampens a lot of vibration. While the new flax fibres in this Pure Drive dampens the feel, it's still more raw, feeling, and crisp. Some will like that, and some won't. The Pure drive feels a bit less 'whippy' and topspin friendly than the Ezone, but feels a little more stable and powerful on flatter shots when comparing the 100s
if you are looking at the top of the top player, non is using PD. It is too powerful in the best competition game. However, for normal folks like us, it is very helpful

It's also good for serious intermediate players who want to up the pace of their serves and have started to ingrain good topspin technique.

How does this new PD 100 / 98 compare with the new Ezone 100/ 98?
The PD lacks feel, and is way way too powerful. Pretty much no control, I bough the Ezone instead

This is the question a lot of the tennis community has been asking!
Any more Josh Berry matches planned for the near future?

what about the 100+
Sean did a video with you testing many racquets and you did not put it up yet too bad
Unfortunetly there will be no more Tour- version.
