10:25 This conversation is basically about me. I got tired of the Ezone 98 constantly spraying the ball, so went to the Gravity Pro which helped me improve my game while still keeping the ball in the court during matches, and now that my game is better I can properly control the Ezones power and my balls now consistently rip through the court. Control racquets arent a solution to "too much power", but they can be a wonderful training tool to tell you where you're going wrong.
I am using PureDrive 98 version 23 and I am also using PureDrive VS. 25 I purchased the Pure Drive 98 and tested it, and it was nice to see that there was definitely it felt softer than the previous generation. However, it is disappointing that there is less spin than the previous generation. I have a spin type swing, but the trajectory is a bit higher.
Excellent review as always, Jonas! You really seem to like the new Ezone 100 & now rave review on the Pure Drive 100. Chris with TW is switching to the new TFight 100. Do you have a preference of the 3 or still to early to tell?
I hear everyone talking about the racquets they use, and can't help to think that I "grew up" playing with a PS 6.1 Classic weighted up to like 415 grams. No idea how I played so many years with that thing. Now I am like everyone else, looking for power and spin at a more manageable weight (around 335 grams). The PD 100 is actually pretty good with a little bit of added weight.
2009 PD Roddick+ is one of my favorite frames of all time but I gotta say the sweetspots awfully small for a 100. By no means ""hard"" to use as if it was a tiny headsize but comparing them to new PDs gotta be like night and day
Jonas, thanks for this, been waiting for your own video on this. I used to use the 2009 version you have there and I liked it. Post that version, they never felt the same to me and I can’t explain why unfortunately, just never gelled with them. I am really interested in giving the new 2025 version a go, especially since you referenced the 2009 and say it has everything that was in that frame present. Apologies if I missed it, any string recommendations & tension? Cheers.
Hey man, i would be very interested in the comparison between pure drive and the ezone 100. As i also have not that of a spin forehand, i prefer the launch ankle a bit lower. So your view would be interesting. Cheers and i enjoyed the vid :)
I discovered a strange thing with the Babolat grips. On the Pure Drive and Pure Aero they come with Syntec Pro but on the Pure Strikes they come with the thinner grip Syntec Team. So If you get a Pure Strike with grip 3 and a Pure Drive with the same gripsize. Then they wont feel the same or do Babolat make thicker pallets for the Pure Strike to compensate for the thinner grip?
Hello Jonas, have you measured the RA yourself yet? On the Tenniswarehouse site it says 66, but on the official Babolat Site it says 72! I would really like to try it if it was 66. If it is 72 again I will stay away from it because it always hurt my elbow in the past!
Great review and perspective! I am a 4.0/ohbh playing a control 97 and looking for a racket that helps me w/ forgiveness/power/maneuvering. After 10 hrs wanting to like PD98 it feels too demanding. Many of your comments were exactly my experience! Now looking at Ezone98 & Gravity98.
@ Thanks I actually played well w/Radical MP in the past but they changed feel and I went away from it. Not sure I can deal with safety cone orange color-way now. lol
@@GabeFSU yeah it's a bit strange racquet on feeling, but also older radicals were a bit strange. I'm playing with Prestige S Graphene Touch and I'm very happy with that, not the most forgiving racquet but with clean footwork and technique isn't a very difficult racquet. My favourite racquet in terms of playing feeling is Prestige MP(now Pro) but on the long run I can't handle it
@ I still own a Prestige MP “25th anniversary” black racket and love to hit it for fun from time to time. Just need more help for competitive usta doubles.
Hey Jonas I have a question and I'll appreciate your answer. If I have a full swing and a very decent forehand technique, will the Pure Drive 100 still gives me more power than a Pro Staff 97? I feel my balls are very heavy with the PS97. I wonder with a decent forehand technique the heavier weight of a Pro Staff won't surpass the Pure Drive easy power?
I'm using the 2021 PD and i like it a lot! How noticeable is the softer feel of the 2025? I'm afraid it to be too much of an ezone feeling, i like the stifness :)
Is there a big difference between the PA and the PD (100 head) in terms of spin and angle? Which of the two rackets would you prefer and which is easier to play? Your videos are great ;-)
This is like a bad algorithm. Manufacturers are killing the uniqueness of their racket lines and effectively making everything like a clash all too easy to play super average play without ever improving technique. The fact that this and the ezone are dropping the RA and adding dampening is killing feel and the need to develop proper technique. All so wrong directionally. Bland.
What a colossal edit job! Always epic to sneak into a TN vid
Yes 😊. Your Pick? Ezone 2025 or PD 2025 in 100sq?
i agree
What a bromance you two 😂

Glad you liked it!
Hey Jonas, ezone 100 2025 or pure Drive 100 2025? What is your pick?
this is gonna be everyone‘s question. Pure Drive for me
@christianbuechi4555 yes.
Ezone muted racquet
Pure Drive, with cyclone in mains, Element in the crosses
Where’s that Solinco v2 review. Love ur channel!
I would love for you to do a review comparing the new Pure Drive with the new Ezone, both 100 and 98 versions.
Will look into it

Hey tennisnerd, does Perricard actually use a '21 babolat pure drive? Or is it just painted to look like that and he uses a different one
He uses the one with light blue and white thunk it's 2021 ye or 1 before that
Does he use an extended one?
@@HasteCakes he uses standard 100 pure drive 2019 light blue and white

@@GabeFSU on doules I sometimes play with the new Pure Strike 100
hey how does it compare to the fx500?
Is that a Taylor Mini GS in the background?
Well spotted!!
@@Tennisnerd I bought one for my son when he started guitar lessons at 7 years
Specs pretty similar to PA 98. How do they compare?
Can you tell me difference you see in Purestrike 100 and Puredrive100
What do you think of using mid-low tension of around 45lbs full bed of stiff poly on the Pd100 2025, Jonas? Cheers

would you say this pure drive 100 is similar to the babolat soft drive in terms of feel/power/stiffness?
The feel of the Soft Drive is more direct, but the new PD is more stable and has a more controlled string pattern. I prefer the new PD.
@@Tennisnerd awesome! thanks for letting me know, gonna try and customise the pd100 to my liking and try and serve like perricard

Thanks! I prefer the PD 100 for its lower trajectory. The PA 100 is great but feels too spinny and launchy for my game. So PD 100
How does
It play compare to a PA 98 ?
who is that 15:52 he's really good!
No nordicdots 100 review?
Hej TN! Skulle du säga att det här PD98 liknar RF01/01Pro? De verkar lika ’on paper’
PDn har mer power än RF-racketarna, lite styvare.
black version plz,
I wonder about the new pure drive 100 versus the Ezone 100, Ultra 100, FX, T-fight
I'd also love to know how this new PD100 compares to the new EZone 100. Any thoughts Jonas?
Anyone have any thoughts on Dunlop FX 500 (100) vs the new Babolat Pure Drive 100?
14:25 what an honour

The new PD specs sound Ezone like.
And ezone switch back to be old PD by being stiffer
@@akbarberlian
But have much less feel
@@llamawizardyou r right
Sadly it is still inferior to the Ripstick 300g, which has more power, spin, comfort and stability.
Moya never used the pure drive and you know that
Great edits in the 2025 videos so far.
Personally i found it had weird feel and found volleying was bad..... It also had a very odd sound when hitting
300g stiff racket are now demanding and for advanced players? Looks like I have lived under a rock...
I played today the new pure Drive 3 Hours and I can say it is still harsh on my arm. Spin potential is really bad and much better by Ezone. My opinion
Very beautiful imo
How would you compare to the orogianl pure drive?
Bigger sweet spot, better dampening, improved string bed control in the new one. I would take the new tech any day of the week.
But what about the price? It is the most expensive racket I have ever seen!😢
Use it if you don’t like your arms!
Since when did this channel became a Tennis Warehouse ad?
It is not, but it is partly shot from when I visited them in San Luis Obispo.
