    Just know Browning Arms, has a 1911 380. And a 22. 17 % smaller than a full size 1911. Good for small hands. St.Paul,Minnesota.

    Great write-up. I didn't know if I could use a conversion kit on my Springfield because it is a bushingless model like yours. Good to know that it can be done. I may pick up one of these kits.

    Ritchie, can I use my stock slide release when using my GSG conversion kit?

  • @josephbolz4550

    I haven’t bought one yet but I think that Nelson/Marvel is pretty much a gussied up or improved Centaur/Jarvis conversion

    Hi Ritchie. the GSG was about $140, and the Nelson is about $400 new, but I bought from a third party.

    For the asking price of the Nelson which is 435 on their web sit you can buy a GSG 1911 22lr, or a Colt 1911 22 lr. Under 300 for the GSG and under 400 for the Colt.

      Hi Roy, yes the Nelson is expensive, but the GSG has plastic sights, a pot metal slide, a fragile finish, etc. like anything in life, there are trade offs. For some, the Nelson makes more sense. Thanks for watching.

    The Nelson is built or Bullseye / Precision shooting and is very accurate ,the upper was designed by Bob Marvel from Marvel Precision ( the first accurate 22lr upper ) mainly for competition precision shooting , its why its more expensive and better quality then most other out there .
    I shoot bullseye with a few guys that have custom 1911's with Marvels and Nelsons on them and man they shoot 580's to 590's with 600 being 100% .

    Love that Nelson upper. I have the sig on a foster frame. I think the sig is a gsg.

    Question - Would a GSG 1911-22 conversion kit work on a Norinco 1911-9 mm gun?
    Great video btw...

      Hi Moe. I am not sure, but if a mil spec 1911 slide will fit your frame, it should fit. Thanks for watching.

    Does CGC require any internal work on the firearm?

    • @citadelgrad87
      @citadelgrad87  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope. Both fit and fired on my Colt Commanding Officers model with no mods to the Colt or the conversions. Super simple drop in fit.

    Nelson Costum looks like the Tactical Solutions conversión units. Doesn't it?

    • @citadelgrad87
      @citadelgrad87  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not familiar with Tactical Solutions. I know they were developed from Marvel conversions, and are nearly identical to those.

    Thinking of getting a nelson for my commander also. Was there a gap in front of the dustcover like with the gsg? Couldn't tell.
    Thanks!

    • @citadelgrad87
      @citadelgrad87  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      19bmw91 the Nelson has no gap. The bottom spring cover area of the slide is long enough that even the short commander slide dust cover reaches the slide. If that makes sense.

    What was the cost of each?

    • @citadelgrad87
      @citadelgrad87  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      About $400 for the Nelson, about $200 for the GSG. Thanks for watching.

    Witch one do you recommend for reliability?

    • @citadelgrad87
      @citadelgrad87  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the Nelson custom is a bit more reliable. Ignition has been 100%, function probably 97%. The gsg is probably more like 90%.

    I wanna buy your GSG.. if didn't want it..

  • @randytinney6854
    @randytinney6854 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    gsg states clearly that their conversion is built for FULL frame weapons, 70 or 80 series.

    • @citadelgrad87
      @citadelgrad87  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, thats what i said in the video when i introduced the gsg. It leaves a gap where the dust cover ends, and i point that out. Its not a flaw, but it leaves the gap. Thanks for watching.

      The cz kadet 2 on a cz 75 frame seems to be about the same quality and build. It is not inexpensive either. CZ does not offer the KADET 2 at the present time. Love your writeup . Just got my 1911-22 conversion back today from Marvel . It now sits on my stainless Para frame ready for me to try out.
