Completely agree with this video being here, knowledge is power, here in Europe I could never see myself or many people being able to do this or want to, mainly because of gun laws in Europe being so strict. Its pretty hard to own a gun unless you live on a farm or in a rural area, some countries its illegal to carry tear gas never mind a taser. (you can kind of get away with carrying a chefs sharpening rod along as your coming home from work and its wrapped up in a kitchen towel at least, Many times I've rushed out of work with my 2 knifes and a "sharpening rod" which is essentially a baton, all wrapped in 2 tea towels under my arm on the bus and walk home or if I needed to go to the shop never got stopped never had to use them, fortunately enough for me I had never encountered any kind of situation that would warrant a self defense situation other then in work, don't get any fucking ideas ok! ) Even owning a bb gun over one joule is illegal were I'm, from....but my point being just giving a "little" context to my point, is that TH-cam censors; well to put it simply, people who have not always done anything truly worthy of censoring or canceling altogether, now I don't believe in censoring this completely, but I do think there should be a little more regulation on these kinds of videos, like making guns as apposed to just shooting them, highly educational but like that can be maybe fatal in the wrong hands if you will. This is not like philopshies or edgy comedy or politics and rhetoric that you can just choose to stop listening to instead of being so overtly offended or crusading needlessly at whatever there flavor is at the given moment, can be a matter of life and death. But I think its fair to say that there should be just a little bit more regulation, but cant stress the fact how much I think they should be available online but just not so flippantly, don't get me wrong if a totalitarian military oppressive state occurs in my country then thank you I appreciate the knowledge or cyborgs or something, no but seriously great that you can learn something like this from home. Very interesting sorry for my longwinded input.
You cant, builds like these are interesting but you should always make sure to find out what the legal requirements are in your area and follow those laws. Once you have the required permits and are aware of the laws i am sure gun store importers will be willing to order even odd fun project parts like this 👍🏻
Like anyone with knowledge on the subject i am conflicted on how effective gun laws are at preventing crime but as a metaphore just because seat belts dont stop crashes doesnt mean you shouldnt use one, even if you feel some laws are unjustified they should still be followed and by doing so you will be saving yourself alot of trouble

From what I remember at that time I felt drilling the barrel cover and finding a .22 inner barrel would be best, but never got around to looking at a good safe way to secure it. Firing pin issue should be somewhat simple, and as for chamber/cartridges... you could either make adapters that fit the .38 cylinder that you can slide a .22lr in to, or just pour some metal all down the chambers and then drill that out for the .22. I ended up dropping my gun and bending the crane before I could get any further with the idea
@@GetIntoYourLife the plunger doesn’t matter too much. If the airsoft part fits then good! It might wear quicker though as it’s cheap metal like the rest of the airsoft. I had to make one because I think I was using a pulled .22 bullet as one while it was a BB gun haha.
I don’t know if the bb slide stop will work. It’s slightly different dimensionally and when I was hand fitting the barrel I made it fit the one that came with the kit, not the BB model. You can fit the barrel to that and find out if it will be activated by the magazine. Or look at it compared to pictures of a real one on the web

The ejector is built into the upper. It’s on the barrel so you don’t need to buy one. Just the kit itself.

What do you mean by milling ?
Rotary cutter. In this case run in a horizontal plane. The frame is too narrow for the 1911-22 recoil spring and barrel lug.

@@royalloyalty8248 Its a .22lr pistol on a full slide. It's fairly unreliable. the 19lb wilson spring was required to make it powerful enough to ignite the rimfire. You can play with spring rates but rimfire needs a fairly substantial strike to work.

You don’t need a license to own any gun. You just need a background check if you are buying a completed gun. Neither airsofts or conversion kits are considered firearms and don’t need a background check

Also, assuming you shot it how the heck did it survive the .45 recoil? Make sure you are checking the rails for cracks/deformation, check the screw holding the assembly to the frame, and check the pin running through the hammer as that’s also taking recoil. Oh and look at where the slide lock runs through the frame. See if that is getting ovaled out.

Jame Johnson The elite force 1911 is about $115 on eBay..as for the 22lr conversion I paid $250 for it but that was 4 yrs ago and I can’t find it on eBay now..you can probably get it from sig Sauer themselves but it’ll more than likely be like $400 or so..as far as smithing goes, you need to change out the main spring and plunger so I suggest swapping out the entire housing for a real one..everything else can be done with files, emery cloth, A LOT of patience, and very specific attention to detail..it might be easier to get an 80% glock complete kit from budk but the 1911 is just such a bad ass piece

Is the frame steel or aluminum
Plastic
The frame is ZAMAC. Zinc, Aluminum,Magnesium, and Copper. So yes it is aluminum alloy. A lot of .22LR, .22 magnum and .380 ACP pistols are made of it so don’t worry about it breaking. All the stress of firing is exerted on the steel components of the barrel and locking block. Even the 9mm and .45 high point pistols are made of zamac.

Como posso conpra um kit desse
Completely agree with this video being here, knowledge is power,
here in Europe I could never see myself or many people being able to do this or want to, mainly because of gun laws in Europe being so strict.
Its pretty hard to own a gun unless you live on a farm or in a rural area, some countries its illegal to carry tear gas never mind a taser. (you can kind of get away with carrying a chefs sharpening rod along as your coming home from work and its wrapped up in a kitchen towel at least, Many times I've rushed out of work with my 2 knifes and a "sharpening rod" which is essentially a baton, all wrapped in 2 tea towels under my arm on the bus and walk home or if I needed to go to the shop never got stopped never had to use them, fortunately enough for me I had never encountered any kind of situation that would warrant a self defense situation other then in work, don't get any fucking ideas ok! )
Even owning a bb gun over one joule is illegal were I'm, from....but my point being just giving a "little" context to my point, is that TH-cam censors; well to put it simply, people who have not always done anything truly worthy of censoring or canceling altogether, now I don't believe in censoring this completely, but I do think there should be a little more regulation on these kinds of videos, like making guns as apposed to just shooting them, highly educational but like that can be maybe fatal in the wrong hands if you will.
Can anyone tell me where i can buy GSG .22lr conversion kit without firearm permit? Nonsense really..
You cant, builds like these are interesting but you should always make sure to find out what the legal requirements are in your area and follow those laws. Once you have the required permits and are aware of the laws i am sure gun store importers will be willing to order even odd fun project parts like this 👍🏻
@@richardw3404 but not from USA to Europe,i tried many times..because ATF.
@@zdravkonovosel122 Ah okay, might be something to do with laws on building firearms?
