They say three movies filmed concurrently brought back sci-fi: _Superman(1978), Star Wars(1977),_ and _Close Encounters of the Third Kind(1977)._ However they all had to relearn special effects, since I don't know the last one, _2001: A Space Odyssey,_ maybe?

The film industry lost two giants that year! Them and Christopher Reeve are sorely missed i'd say!
