Nice job. Feels good when you tackle a big job like that and save a lot of money. I have a 72 Clark C500-55. The seal is leaking when I lift it all the way up at the top of the lift cylinder. I see some broken plastic around the seal. It sat for a long time before I got it. I only paid 350 bucks for it and it runs good. I have 2 Old Clark forklifts that I restored. This is a first for a lift cylinder seal replacement. Thanks for posting this video. It will help me with my job.
You guys working on the old Clarks definitely have my respect. They are a REAL pain in the ass compared to ALL the other makes. There is a local company in my area that does the spray- weld repair on the piston rod then they machine it down to factory specs. Takes out all the dings and dents that cause leaks in the seals.
Nice work! Love the old Massey forklift sitting there. I have an old International that I need to put a new motor and clutch in. It's on my list -- and the list is long...
another good project! man i still cant believe you got that thing for $ 200 im jealous! haha, wished there was some stuff up around here like that cheap, only thing i can ever find is cars and garden tractors dirt cheap!
I remember working on these. I think the White forktrucks are the only one's that you check the hydro oil with the forks fully up. Makes the most sense to me. The Toyota's go by what the sea level is where you are at
even if you did spend top dollar for that to be rebuilt you still would have gotton tons of money in the resale....thats how good the deal is you got!!!!
yeah lots of stuff gets junked when its fixable. I took an old floor jack ( not a cheapo either) out of a dumpster at an auto repair place once that just needs new o rings.
i have the same dam problem in a 79 clark C-300 i need to watch it again having a hard understanding how you got it out the vid doesn't show it really but glad to see something ad try to do it my self.. as for doing the seals ya need to a seal guy i will gladly pay 200 thanks for showing
Hi , I have a TW25 forklift and give me trouble on the hydraulic go up and down , watch your video and just wonder you can give a advise how to repair it . any suggestion greatly appreciated .
you basically lift forks above top of cylinder , then use chain to hold boom up . let cylinder down and it should fall out . nothing really holds them , but have plenty of oil dry ready . lol
plezzz sir help me am a forklift macenic my i have a hyster 2.5 ton forklift boom midel piston cylander is cant up lifting butt side to cylander is good work lifting butt why cant lifting boom center midel cylander plezzzz help me replay me plezzzz

How did you hang the assembly in the air to allow the cylinder to compress by itself?
