I like how you don’t cut corners when you clean up. Sanitizing the walls and cleaning the sink walls also is a great way to keep a clean and sanitary environment for all pets.

I love the time taken to show the cleanup process after the groom. I always told my kids, a project isn't complete until you clean up and put away your tools. Its an important lesson and something that must be factored into every job. Also I love your channel and am a big fan. I have a cat, a dog, and a pup we are sheltering for a few weeks and your videos have taught me a lot on how to properly bathe and groom them - keeping them healthy and happy. Thanks for sharing!

My Mom has a Finnish Lapphund. She is an absolute love, and these dogs are incredible family dogs. They are gentle and sweet, although super hairy!! Invest in a good groomer - good groomers are worth their weight in gold!
Ilo means "Joy" or "Happiness" in Finnish so his name is perfect for him as he's a very good and happy boy.

Finnish Lapphund owner here, while I absolutely agree, I just have to add that lapphunds are really happy dogs! They "smile" a lot, and they usually love every human they meet. It's such a wonderful and loving breed!

My eyes were locked on bc felt so happy to see her going for the nooks and crannies. Clean up is sometimes overlooked and frowned upon, but it is one of the most important part of any job/career. Mad respect.
Gave me flashbacks to working at a kennel that was tied to a vet's office. We had an outbreak of kennel cough and we scrubbed that kennel from the air vents down with at least 3 cleaning solutions. 8 hours of just scrubbing and washing, dang near killed me and I was only 17

@Samson 92 · Look at the transcript of the video and you'll see it is spelt ELO. Just like how she pronounces it. Anyway, I don't think Elo cares how his name is spelt as long as he gets his meals, water, treats, soft bed and cuddles.

I love how he was basically posing for the camera at end. Trying to find his best angle, lol. My husband and his parents had a Pomeranian that looked exactly like Ilo except much smaller and called Shadow and he was just as cute. If I ate dinner at their house (before I was married) Shadow would come up to my chair an$ sit while he kept smiling and co king his head to one side. He knew I couldn’t withstand the cute and he could get food treats. He was right, lol.

Ilo was such a patient young man during his extensive grooming. I just kept thinking about how all that fur fits right in with him being a Finnish pup. And his posing and head- tilting at the end really got me!

The pooch was extremely well-behaved for a relatively long, thorough grooming process. What a handsome outcome! Huge difference. The way he cocked his head at the end at whatever was being said to him was hilarious! He looked like he was going to ask a question!

Now, combined with last year's left over fur, I think you finally have enough hair to build yourself a giant pomeranian.
I'm pretty sure she has enough fur to build herself a flying bison like the one from avatar 🙂

I think it's good for people to see how much work you put into cleaning & prepping your workspace between each & every pet. The time you spend cleaning up IS part of the grooming session--the prices charged may seem a bit high for an "hourly wage" BECAUSE many people aren't seeing, or aren't even simply aware of, this part of the process, and thus aren't able to mentally calculate it. Thank you for sharing!
This was me. It makes perfect sense but I'd just never actually thought about it before.
Now we know why her shop always looks very clean.
I hadn't even thought about the sanitization process, in addition to just the standard cleanup - but yeah, such an important step to ensure the health of the animal clients. Vanessa's whole cleaning process looks absolutely EPIC!! What a workout. (I'll never complain about just cleaning the bathroom again, I swear... 🤭)

The Finnish Lapphunds are very good family dogs and herders, but some of them yap a lot, so they are not exactly for the city appartment. They shed throughout the year, tho they shed twice a year (6 monts or half a year at a time)

I was hoping to see him again on this channel and boy he sure is handsome (and that amount of fur he's shedding never ceases to amaze me). Really appreciating the hard work you do for the sake of these precious furballs. And seeing how well you also clean up places made me seriously wonder how come your back hasn't given up yet... Hours and hours grooming dogs and cats, then also cleaning up after the mess too... I feel like I couldn't do that for too many months without dying and having to change job.

I hope you see this! I'm a cleaning lady, to get the fuzz and fur off your walls use a microfiber mop *dry* it'll wipe it off and drop very little. Works for dirt and cobwebs as well.
I've used a mini one at home for dusting & especially for cobwebs in hard-to-reach spots, and they're kind of like magic in the way stuff just adheres to them! 👍 (Not sure of how to clean it properly after use tho, will have to do a little Googling...)
Kudos to you for the work you do - cleaners absolutely keep the world going (esp. in these plague times) but SOOOO don't get enough respect IMO!! 🙏
we had a lappdog for almost 14 years, sadly he passed away and our next dog will definitely be of the same breed. In Lappland these dogs are still used to herd reindeers. They are so appreciated that in the old days when a couple got married, they had their own personal lappdogs in the church.
I have seen this nozzle used by other groomers but I think this looks the most dramatic by far, maybe just the pup. Crazy how it just washes out what seems like so easily.
Oh my goodness, I think this is my favourite dog yet! Look at his silly head tilts at the end! And he didn't seem concerned by any part of the whole grooming process! I totally agree with the owners that his fur looks best kept natural. What a pretty boy!
I worked eight years as a line cook and got into the grooming scene when Covid shut it all down. I had always dreamed of being a groomer but never took the chance. Best career change ever! I work in a corporate company but have dreams of running my own show! Thank you for all the awesome videos!

We used to have a groomer in the area that would lower the price of the groom on this big fluffballs if the owner agreed to help with the cleanup. It seemed to work out well for both the groomer when she was short on time and the client when they were short on money :)

I work for corporate, so I don't have the freedom to use a tool like that at my salon, but I hope in the future I can explore it.
