2:54:49 im not going frontal to Salephz, because that casues ramming him which is deadly for me... if im too close, TB pushing power is huge which allows Salephz to rotate me easly
Great tournament.
Would have liked to see some agile ships though, and while rail fans are fast paced and skill based, missile bricks are pretty slow and relatively less interesting to watch.
also for cash prizes, you can just ask all participants for a 10$ entering fee, that would result in total 160$ cash prize - which is barely noticeable to enter the tourney, but noticeable to win it. It's as if all of the participants are buying winner a dinner with wine in a nice restaurant.
I would definitely like to move to such set ups in the future as participation and enthusiasm increases, but due to the precedence of tournaments being free for the past half decade I'm not planning on having entry fees anytime soon.
@@SarisWinterwispI would say to make a n additional tournament bracket then. You have your standard format (this) and an additional format that has a paid entry like our fine gentlemen described. After a while you could phase out one or the other. I’ve only been watching for very shortly but is there any sort of qualifier to participate in these tournaments?
@@ekothesilent9456 Not at all really. As long as you have an adequate connection any and all are welcome to participate
Nice one hosting the tournament, was fun to watch and glad it went much faster with only 1 ship per person.
There's some stuff you did that would've been much better not to:
1. Starting the game when not all players were ready, especially when they're asking to clarify match rules etc 2:34:22
2. Not answering player questions in chat (only voice which they don't hear)
3. Muting players without warning, giving or even having a good reason to
It was frustrating to watch Salephz trying to communicate and just not being able to as they're forced to play at same time while then being muted for what are all legitimate and reasonable questions and comments.
Just pointing this out - if you did just 1 and 2 above I think there'd be no issue and everyone would've enjoyed it more. It wouldn't have taken significantly longer and they're both very simple things to change.
Please consider, thanks again, overall I really enjoyed this and thought you guys did a great job.
Upon Salephz's third initial defeat at the hands of of Przyjem he immediately began complaining on the official Discord. Admittedly I definitely could have been clearer, but several of the questions he was asking had already been answered in said discord and the alternative to muting was disqualification given the toxicity.
@@SarisWinterwisp OK, so YT viewers (me) don't have full story. I wonder if it's possible that you might be mistaking another person's greater need for clarification and detail than your own for toxicity (something autistic people I think are prone to)? Could it be that?
I know from personal experience I have to be really careful how many questions I ask people and how much detail I seek as most people don't think the way I do.
It's really hard and unfathomably frustrating when I'm just trying to understand something and the people who I'm talking to misinterpret that and get mad etc. Such a shame when communication breaks down like that from such benign intentions.
Perhaps I'm projecting.
Maybe you can tell me if there is any possibility this was occurring in this case and if so, adapt your communication accordingly?
@@nommy8599at the end of the day an organizer has to make quick calls and can’t be blamed for lack of knowledge on part of the contestant… though I suppose there are scenarios under which the organizer could be at blame…

I think I like it better when there's nobody interrupting interesting analysis because they suddenly got excited... Seems most folks love that but it annoys me enormousl! I like the interesting insight and strategic breakdown.
Anyway the last one wS great.
I think it's always good for people to give feedback. Both positive and negative.
Anybody has an idea how to connect "flip 180" front of the ship under hot-key, instead of changing it using a mouse (takes long time) . Thank You and regard. Congrats to the developers for a very impressive game :)
you can record a macro on your mouse, if you have a mouse with those capabilities.
you can click "save attack default" in the ships's hamburger menu so you don't have to flip at ship or position it with command handles
@@Polar_Onyx I assume they wanted to do flips dynamically.
I hope Walt adds macros.... especially for things like changing flight direction or retargeting ion crystals to specific angles
@@thefacethatstares the game already has more macros then even top players know what to do with but I guess I can see a benefit to some of those. At some point you have to say that there are enough and is clicking a hamburger menu twice really much easier than doing some obscure key combination?
blackout played a great first match but then just suicided twice.. noooo
did that kid got banned from further tournaments?
