    Crisp and clear THANKS.Can you please explain more to first timers on Airbus how to use the Track Diamond when flying Raw Data ILS? Can not see the link to another video you said you will provide. What did you mean by small corrections on ILS you need move only wing tip to the track?Wing tip of bird to where exactly?

    Once again, a great instructional video! I was wondering how useful 'the bird' really was, and now I can see it clearly. A raw data ILS approach is definitely going on my 'to do' list :). Many thanks!

      Thank you for your kind words and for watching as always. The bird is a great tool indeed and makes raw data ILS quite enjoyable in the Airbus!

      Been trying raw data ILS in the fantastic Flyjsim 737-200 in cat 1 instrument meteorological conditions with 0.5 sm visibility. It's a true test of concentration and mental agility. The same in this Airbus seems to be an interesting variation of the same challenge!

    Very nicely explained, your video helps me preparing a lesson for my A330 pilot students, thank you very much 🙏🏻

    Thanks for the video. But I see that you set 090 course on the FCU instead of 091 which was the ILS final course. Was it intentional for the small correction practice?

    great video,
    i am thinking of xplane 11, what hardware are you using as it runs very smooth?
    CPU?
    Memory(RAM)?
    Video card
    many thanks your input will help me get the correct hardware to run this smoothly

    Ugh you always make landings look so easy - how do you ensure you keep centreline? I use a joystick for rudder and am thinking that may be my problem. I try to centre using ailerons and only use minimal rudder for say crosswinds...

    very interesting, thank you. I thought when you fly i.e. a LOC DME approach you use track/FPA and the FD to maintain your descend profile and the track. But you said, you do not use (or you do not like) the FD with track FPA !? How do you fly these approaches (i.e. LOWI LOC DME RWY 26) ? I do it with LOC mode and track/FPA and set the FPA i.e. to -3.6 and follow the bird FD which is definately not ease in the sim. I think you could do the same procedures for RNAV approaches ( i.e. the B777 do not have the FINALAPPR mode).

      Thanks for watching! Great question. When using Track FPA and the flight directors I would also use the autopilot. This way you don’t have to hand fly and follow the ‘bird’ flight directors which is very tricky! In my VOR TRACK FPA tutorial you can see me doing this using the Autopilot. I hope that makes sense! All my opinion of course!

    great stream yesterday i was a bit late to the party have you ever used pilot edge for atc did you see my motion base cant wait to set it up waitting on parts to arrive on my channel great landing raw data ILS

      @320SimPilot  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I should have put up more notice about the stream but I’m glad people came along! Thanks for joining for the stream! I haven’t used any other ATC yet although I may try in the future. I saw your first video, looks like a serious setup!

    is the aerodynamics of toliss realistic? especially the flare, does it feel realistic?

    • @320SimPilot
      @320SimPilot  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From my experience so far it is very good in the flare yes, more of the issue is my joystick at home is not as good as the Sidestick in the airbus! The airbus sidestick feels 'heavier' by comparison in my opinion.

    That was very cool. Thank you. I have a problem with landing: cant catch the moment of pitch/flare. But it is only need to practice.

      320 Sim Pilot Hi, sir. Just another question (not about landing, but it maybe for your further Q&A video): I had couple times situations when I couldn’t return plane to a manage altitude mode. It was just some signal, the dot (managed mode) appeared for a moment and disappeared. And I was just continuing descending in a Open descent mode. I understand that it happened because of some conflicts in MCDU logic and my wishes. The plane was on Nav and managed speed. I changed the RWY to land in MCDU because of new ATIS (with the necessary choosing HDG mode). The only way helped was to DIR the plane to the next WPT and then it became Manage descent. Could you say just what reasons cause the impossibility to make Manage descend mode?

      @320SimPilot  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm that is a good question. I will see if I can recreate it and maybe work it out. Perhaps the new update has sorted it!

      320 Sim Pilot Hi, cpt. Thanks. For us (not pilots) it is impossible to understand either it is a bug or it is a mistake!)

      320 Sim Pilot one question, it isn’t better to track the LOC in the ROSE ILS instead of the ARC when in final APP?
