How I Beat Hearthstone's Hardest Challenge

Rarran, inside you are two wolves. One has Rush. The other also has Rush.
Reflect upon these words.
jesus christ this comment got me xD
Dude i was for the most time imagining why he was not atacking with every wolf.... i though i was insane and there was a motive behind that but yeahh...
The absolute despair I felt at 37:00 when we got hit with “Remind yourself that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.”
Same omg I spent the rest of the video looking at how much time was left.
I was trying to calculate if there was going to be another run. And as we closer, there definitely wasn’t time. So I was convinced it was an 11 win deck. Then the boss music for the final battle.
I was convinced. What an epic edit and epic roller coaster. Can’t believe I watched this whole thing hahaha
can't believe he cut out the part where he peed on his mic
What?
@@kolmorka IT was a joke man :D
24:14
Favorite part…
Thankfully its on his OF now
The editing really pushed the story to a legendary level.
Rarran 2 minutes into the video: "I might only have to do 1 (run) here"
Me: looks at video length "yea about that"
i watch people with 12 wins that takes them a couple hours without editing in the video to finish
@@joshuapackard2024 yea but not if youre on the 4th game 2 minutes into an hour video.
not gonna lie, this was way more exciting to watch than most of the 12 Win Must See uploads from the Arena kings
100% because of editing, awesome vid
Because there were STAKES! There was a storyline here. Not just a deck knowing it would win, it was spending 52 minutes 29 seconds wondering if it could. Amazing story telling 👌🏼
Never retire decks. If you don't want to play it, just queue up and concede 3 times. That will give wins to worse decks and make getting to 7 (or 12) wins easier for everyone.
For every win in arena, another player needs to mark up a loss, so the more losses there are, the more people get to high numbers with average and bad decks.
The only reason HS has the retire button is to make arena pay out less rewards to people.
Don't fall for the scam. Never Retire a run.
Pls take this energy and apply it to smth real 🙏 in this case, it's not that deep bro
Next video... can Rarran get 12 wins in arena without taking damage
haha i dont think even Rarran is that insane :P
no
The retire deck function prevents Arena from being a zero-sum game. If everyone was forced to play out every single draft there would be fewer insanely strong decks. This would raise the skill ceiling of the game, attract more casual players and in turn make the Arena ecosystem much healthier.
Preventing conceding is really important with this also
even though the retire function was always there (i think?) arena didn't feel THIS crazy hard to get 12 wins like when hearthstone was MOST popular which makes no sense cause there were so many good arena streamers like amaz and kripp and trump etc yet now just cause people are doing this more and fewer people even play arena it's just fucked, it's like the aram accounts for league all over again (i didn't even remember i had 12 wins and i had to go check that's how easy and unmemorable it was to get 12 wins back then)
@@RawrGhosty Isn't arena also just much more RNG/powercrept at this point? Compared to when getting a flame strike in your draft or like druid Force + Roar was good. Getting a demon hunter draft where you just summon 12/12 in stats with rush 4+ times is kinda wild.
@@DumpyFrog lol it's so true. I remember getting 12 wins back in the day pretty easily, when just having a mind control or two in your priest deck would get you 12-0
@@RawrGhostyso here the thing there is a lot of difference between the weakest decks and strongest decks in arena now. The cards are crazy. Way too many win cons to draft. That why they doing this guaranteed legendary.
There are two wolves in me, one on the top left of my hand and the other on the top right of my hand
One of the best videos youve made up to date. So tense and exchiting to watch. I know im gonna be rewatching this a lot
"And thats exactly what I did." I would have died if kripp came on. Actually died.
Congrats Rarran! My first 12 win in arena started with two losses the first two games. Played a 12-0 run after that, I almost retired the deck but was out of gold and played it out just trying to recoop some of the expense. Your first match isn't always an indication of the strength of the deck if it just draws poorly.
I’ve been invested into this so much and I love it !!! Congrats 🙌
That ending was so hype. With the voice flashback into the music. Nice video "pee-licker off the mic" McGee
50:49 BLOODBORNE MENTIONED 😎🔥🔥🔥 The music and the editing are top notch 👍👍
sorry this is mad late but do you know the music name ???
@@gioro98 Its " The hunter" from the bloodborne soundtrack. Always happy to talk about my favourite game :)
@@valkrossgaming1738 thank you so much! ive been wanting to play it so bad I might have to borrow a friends ps3 or something.
@@gioro98 No prob, thats exactly how I played it for the first time :) Hope you enjoy it
this summarizes my recent arena runs, even when i feel like i luck out on the draft, there is always some insane decks waiting at 4 wins or such
The Relentless Worg in the last game was so much value
Watched the stream with dreads, honestly it's been a while since the last time I had that much fun watching a stream. Genuinely cheered me up and made my day
Congratulations on the 12 wins. Can't wait for the 12-0 arena challenge
Ikr? I have 6700 Arena wins, 63% win rate (while picking Priest nearly every time I can btw), over 50 twelve win runs, but I've only ever done *one* 12-0.
Genuinely deserved man, great job ! Also very good editing !
I played the game on and off since launch, I got 12 arena wins twice years ago, but never managed to hit Legend in ladder. Until yesterday! Could really feel the joy you felt when finally achieving your goal!
I usually use those videos as background noise while doing other stuff, but this time I had to literally chain my eyes to the screen for the full runtime. Phenomenal.
I've had 0:2 decks go to 12 wins before several times. The best lategame decks often struggle vs the early aggro all-in decks that you play vs at low wins.
Congrats man! Loved the collab with Dreads
This was so fun to watch. Congrats mate!
Great job Rarran! One of your best videos.
Congrats man. Huge achievement. Keep it up :)
Loved the Gascoigne theme for the final fight! Congrats on the 12 wins!
3:25 what the actual holy mother of Christ was that Druid opening
"Remind yourself, that over confidence is a slow and insidious killer..." Good stuff!
The stakes, the highs and lows, this video is a freaking movie!
I never was so happy for the video creator, gratz rarran!
24:00 Historic Hearthstone Moment - thanks to whoever helped us with that
I cringed in the begining of the video when he said he hadnt done any 12 wins in 10 years. I have done countless 12 wins arenas, but untill the end of this video i was so invested. You reminded me of the nights i spent with my friends at my house playing arena so many years ago, chasing the 12 win journey. Thank you.
The howl of excitement at 23:51 😂
Loved the journey btw
Amazing video, those wolves are nuts!!
Im so glad you did it. Congratulations!
I skipped class in college to finish my only ever 12 win run with warlock, and I have never regretted it a day in my life. Thanks for bringing me back, love the video.
SO HAPPY FOR YOU RARRAN! CONGRATS
Wow gj man that was really entertaining video thank you
Rarran not using his weapon to damage over minion health is making me akahakahafaefsag
The chills when the ancestor came in towards the end
17 seconds into the video, the "crappy" 11 wins scam and Darkest Dungeon stress symbol when mentionning your despair are worth a big thumbs up !
I can definitely understand your frustration, think the best I ever did in Arena was 10 wins. I had a friend that played during classic Hearthstone that got 12 wins and then quit playing. :P Grats on the 12 wins!!!!
I don't usually comment on anything but I just have to point out that this is such an epic video imo. Well done, I really enjoyed it and gg.
back when i started when hearthstone came out, I had multiple 12 wins runs. Heck even a lot in over 1200 total wins
I played some arena in march of lich king expansion and it took me solid 40-50 tries to get 12 wins once. most were 5 wins lol
March of the lich was my first 12 win! My most was 11 before (one night in karazhan). I have to agree though, arena runs now feel harder. There's so much you need to push through with every card having so much value now. I feel like back then basically any decently drafted deck could be piloted to 12, now it's sort of an RNG shit show like the rest of the game lol. It starts to feel bad losing to cards that don't start in your opponents deck and they got lucky. Always been a problem, but its worse now. Could average 4-7 wins before, now only get 3-4 before I know my deck is too bad to even get close to 12. Hearthstone in its current state makes me think of TF2 random crits, there's more discover and randomness for "rare high moments" but every time someone has those moments, it results in an extreme low for the other person who literally didn't even have a chance because their opponent just is better at flipping coins or playing slots
because the skill ceiling is a limbo stick that fell to the ground. There are cards so fucking busted that if you don't have an answer you just lose the game, the power level of decks is insane and that means just curving out and making good decisions isn't enough because if your opponent has a good enough bomb he will wipe your fucking board while building up their own
It's mmr based now, similar to Duels, except hidden mmr. I have 4k wins on my main acc and the same amount spread over other accs. I used to average 5.9 wins per run and for a couple of years it has been 3.2. Whenever I try Arena on a new acc. then it's 9 wins/run avg. for the first 3 runs and the drops off relatively quickly, but takes a couple dozen games to actually reach below 4. I hate it, because 5.9 was close enough to infinity and I could farm incredible dust amounts, but now farming Legend in Ranked is the first thing to do b/c it "pays" better.
PS: Never retire; like wtf? Come on...
PPS: I don't think the 100 in 10 challenge is possible anymore nowadays, except on smurfs, which is cheating. Noone has beaten it since 2016-May-12.
Ahhahaha the father Gascoigne for the endig is just perfect
that kayn prediction was probably euphoric. there is nothing better than top decking the exact card you need for lethal
What a ride!! lol congrats Rarren 😂
I used to play arena almost exclusively. Got a few leaderboard placements, definitely not one of the best players, but good enough to go infinite. I came back recently and tried a few runs and the randomness is so insane now that I struggle to hit 3 wins lol. Obviously I don't know the card pool like I used to, but the amount of discover and gain a random card mechanics seems just about impossible to plan for and play around consistently.
Mannn I was watching the stream and fall asleep at 5 wins…. Gj mr Rarran
The cut at 4:25 made me laugh till I woke my brother up😂😂😂
Well put together video brother
My highest is 10 with Renounce Darkness Warlock. I remember getting 3 Ragnaros, Lightlord one game, it was great
Honestly these types of challenges give absolutely crushing pressure. I remember in this mobile card game that had an achievement for winning 15 times in a row in Ranked, and I’ve never been as stressed playing this game as those final 3 matches. Especially since I bricked the 15th match so hard, I only won due to my opponent playing budget.
Amazing editing on this one
Bro I actually got nervous with Rarran at the end wtf
the Hearthstone GOAT!!!
congrats on it
hey rarran, i am looking for new headset and was wondering which one do you use?
Inside you, there are 2 wolves. No, wait that's 4 wolves. Oh wait, I just discovered 2 more.
Wow, i actually succeeded at that a long Time ago. I never imagined beeing better in Anything in Hearthstone than Rarran.
2/2, never a 1/3, great video as always!
i was trying a similar strat with wolves the other day to get money for the miniset, across 4 demon hunter runs, i only got 1 wolf
This was entertaining to watch🤣
Never played this game and it all looked like flashing nonsense but I still watched the whole thing; fun!
7:15 the only time I ever made it, I actually lost the first game
Concede simulation. Love you Rarran
I got my first 12 win with warrior on boomsday. Warrior was generally weak on back in the day because of its weak hero power but it got pretty neat arena cards on boomsday.
Hey same, I had 3 or 4 12 win runs with Warrior all during that time period. Since then the only other class I've got 12 wins with was Hunter.
damn the mirror match evil counterpart at the end💀
Congratulations Rarran!
The music was soo hype dude!
This was back 5 or 6 years ago, but I made a Warrior deck (bottom 3 class in arena at the time). My thoughts were "this deck might work but it kinda sucks". Lost my first 2 games with it. Almost abandoned the run, then I just said "fuck it" and went for it. I proceeded to slap my next 12 opponents in the face with Gorehowl. My one and only 12 win arena run.
my greatest trauma related to Hearthstone is being in my 11-2 arena game, actually being in a position to winning it, then suddenly my HS client deciding to have a stroke and loose connection.
Till this day I wasn't able to get 12 wins... :(
Blows my mind that Rarran had not gotten 12 wins until now, yet Kripp would do so daily.
Congrats on your 1st 12 win run. Now that you have the monkey off your back, the 12 win runs will start rolling in. I was 11-2 today and then the arena season ended before I could play my final match. Worst break of my hearthstone life.
21:48 "I really hope you bring this to twelve"
Moves mouse and sees the video with 31 min left*
Gg
Arena use to be pretty easy to get 12 wins in actually because all you had to do was tempo out. Now it's purely rng you literally can't play around anything
hype as fuck editing at the end there. Great video
Throat Goat
Time to put midnight wolf up on the wall behind
Mean whilst I’ve never reached legend but have 12 wins in arena which I got during festival. Goes to show that yes, it’s the hardest challenge but getting lucky with a good deck is EXTREMELY important.
Someone needs to make a Salt Chronicles type of video of this arena journey
"i would love to see you pilot this deck too two wins" is so fucking funny
How many decks did he have to make in the stream?
Not getting ur 12 wins ez years ago when Krip was the arena chad explaining exactly how to do it as well.
That’s so funny back when I first played this game in like middle and start of high school and I was a shitter in ladder so arena was all I played and could win at cuz Kripp used to make content for it and I was watching his vids everyday, I got my first 12 wins fairly quick against some legend player who still plays to this day and is consistently hitting sub 3K legend in multiple ladders every month but I only know cuz we added each other back after the game, I was expecting usual HS postgame bm but he was actually hella chill and said gg, we still sometimes will spec each others games and do friendly games for the quest whenever we have it, such a rarity in HS these days to find a cool person from the og says that still plays
I almost feel bad for getting my 12 wins after like 5 arena runs now.
The deck I made was absolutely disgusting though, I remember I had like 5 mana worms and 6 flame spitter, so I had insane removal and damage to boot.
Had a 12-2 arena run way way back in the day with a face warrior.

"THIS MIGHT BE IT!"
*video not even halfway*
Congrats Rarran! Now do it without a loss next time! Hehehe!
I never play area because the losses feel so terrible. not only could I have saved gold, but I also could have avoided the visceral rage I get when I get blown out on a run.
The howling when he drafted the four wolf deck 😭
Really liked the choice of music
My first 12 win run was with first game loss, sometimes there are so shit decks on 10-12 that were winning on pure luck.
I pogged so hard on the kayn top deck part that my jaw locked in place. Help me
He did it, he beat the video games!
i was so invested in that hoooly lets fuckin go
