Pretty sure ess can block tv guidance just fine. But he stood still after smoking.
If ESS can block it, shouldn't Maverick explode in air? Similar to when the target goes behind a cover or launch smoke grenades.

Hi I play A-10A La-te I would like to shoot the Mav at a safe distance with the SAM IR Type 93 ozelot and Strela, but the downside is that I can't see the target. Your CAS surprised me. You fly close and are not afraid of being hit by a SAM I think I need to put some of this into practice. Many techniques I learned from you.
Hello my friend, remember these IR SAMs are dodge-able in a head on so don't be afraid so much 16:59, also I get closer sometimes when the targeted SPAA is moving 10:44, as you know "track" lock is more guaranteed than "point" lock but it is riskier because it requires getting closer.

Big question i have is how did you manage to use thermals in commander sight? I am trying to learn how to use it especially for the M3A3 Bradley even during daytime.

For TV guided weapons can you select parts of the vehicles to target? My missiles always seem to lock large contrasting parts which leads to good guidance but ineffective hits
Edit: Specifically that tiny cross after you aquire a lock, is that designating a more accurate location of where you want the missile?
1- No you can't select particular part of the targeted vehicles.
2- The tiny crosshair one job is to cancel the lock when out of the box
3- TV missiles now suffering from issues, I believe they are working on them and we shall witness enhancements when the major update drops.
Do you have your game settings that you could share? I'm always messing around with the post FX menu to see tanks easier, but never this clear.
"Film" color correction, everything else is default in PostFx settings. Also resolution is 2560x1440, DLSS OFF, Antialiasing TAA.

Isn’t ESS supposed to block against strictly TV guidance? I don’t think the AGM-65B has the IR guidance like the D variant does.
I know right, it is unconvincing, Maverick B is optical and it should be blocked by ESS smoke I believe.

Hello, sure. I wish man, but Gaijin spamming small maps in top tier battles is insane, even in sim, tanks gameplay in top tier is not interesting anymore in bedroom size maps haha.

yea nice killing with maveric b through smoke, gaijin tnx a lot. Maverick D also can kill you even through ESS smoke, lol. It's happened a lot of times
Maverick D makes sense because it is IR and ESS smoke doesn't block IR\thermal, but Maverick B should be blocked by ESS smoke because it is optical.
What is the lock range on the mavericks? Mine only lock at around 3km. Is it different on the early version of the A10?

Maverick A around 3km against MBT
Maverick B around 6km against MBT
Maverick D around 11km against MBT

What do you mean? I start the attack approach from long distance to have more time to manage my tools.
@@Hunter_i86 I mean when i use literally any plane at top tier by the time i change my heading to side climb, and press V a couple times to arm the camera the AA has allready launched on me

Mavericks have been horrible lately, only about 5 or 6 have actually been kills on hit, out about 30 shot.
3 times in a row only got hits or crits on Strella and other SPAA. Mavericks should tear tanks in half, but can't even reliably kill SPAA and light tanks. It is pathetic.
They are working on it. Wait for the major update and you will see a better performance I believe :)

Favorite game in the childhood, it gave me the first knowledge about the Apache, I played it in 1996.
Too bad it's at 10.3 now. It was pain enough to play at 10.0. We tried our best to tell Gaijin otherwise but they ignored us and told us were were wrong (We weren't) This was their response: *A-10A/A-10A Late - these aircraft have “fire and forget” weapons, which gives them an advantage in both defeating ground targets and duelling situations when going up against air defence systems. They’re quite effective in Ground Battles.*
Which is stupid. If the "fire and forget" weapons actually killed in one hit, sure, I could maybe see and argument but barely. I'd still keep them where they are. Their tracking has been nerfed which now has made them miss 25-30% of the time and even if they do impact a target they will hit a track or a part that doesn't do any damage.
No automatic jettison? Why you nerf youself like that?
