I just love your retriever videos, and the golden retriever is my favorite. I like a dog that will cuddle and play in the morning, then run the hills and streams with me in the day. No fear of people or other animals, game for any adventure I choose to share. Can ride in a car for hours and camp and fish and fetch and swim with me. Constant companion. A white one would disappoint me when it wouldn't keep up. I chose darker colored Goldens cause we get dirty a lot, and a muddy white dog is off putting, but the darker golden retrievers don't show the dirt. Now I see there are many other reasons I lucked out in not getting the white ones when I had the choice. Thank you for helping me train this new puppy. Training Goldens is a breeze if a person just has time for them, but boy, Training is so much faster and easier with your methods. You are great. This is my 5th golden retriever, but by far the best.
Thank you, Stonnie! Your videos are so helpful! We are getting our first dog within the next year or two. I have been watching your videos frequently to best prepare myself! I grew up with labs and I love how often they are on your channel!
Love this! I know you have talked about this before. I hike with my dogs in the woods and swim them in my pond every day the weather permits (for me, not for them, they even swim when it is cold out) My pups, same thing. Nature, rough ground, stumps, logs, water, mud, great way to build a sport dog, body and mind!
My labrador is fine outdoor hiking, swimming etc. He just can't cope with getting on buses 😂. He's 1.5 years old. Just reers up and won't get on, any ideas folks? Love your work stonnie! Got my labrador because of your videos and email you replied to me over a year ago! Much ❤from UK.
Is it a fear reaction? Or he might be hearing the air brakes and the hissing worries him? Maybe just sit at a busy bus stop and watch people getting on and off for a bit first. Break it down into smaller steps. Walking next to a waiting bus, standing at the door for a bit. Passengers might help you out if you give them a treat to give him so he thinks there's treats coming from it.
I believe it’s much more likely that you are simply projecting your own slothfulness onto the dog. To prove your point, post a video of her in a fun outdoor environment so we can see whether she seems happy or not. I know you won’t though, because you aren’t the type to actually put in a good faith effort.
I’m going to look at a White English Retriever puppy today to buy. This video comes at the right time. I had a GSP that was full of energy in the house and terrorized my cats. He got through the fence and killed the neighbors lamb so we had to find him a better home. Maybe the white retriever will fit my lifestyle better?? I appreciate your videos showing the characteristics of different dog breeds. It would be nice to have a square peg for a square hole. 😂
I don't use collars unless I'm in a place that legally requires them. Because my property is similar to Stonnie's. Branches and things to get hung up on. Either the dog could hang itself or it'll lose the collar. Also I've heard way too many horror stories of dogs playing together and a paw or tooth getting caught in the other dogs collar. They freak out and can strangle one another.
Lol. That cream Goldie is not an athlete. Breed, yes. Individual personality and early socialization( prior exercise) must play a role. My Golden has been jumping and running since he was a wee baby. He's a medium shade of strawberry blonde.... I did pick him for his fearless and inquisitive nature. Evident at 6 weeks old.

You're setting an amazing example. As a dog trainer, there is none like you.
Thank you!

Dogs are the original SUV!
🇮🇪 very good video sharing brilliant information
"Nerd" defined there. LOL, Bo's a good nerd.
Four dogs on a stream. Gotta love it!
Again and Again👍
Our standard poodle puppy loves sticks and jumping in water. Nobody told her she was supposed to be a fru-fru dog.

great usage of the stick👋🏻
Hey Stonnie, off topic, but our school baseball team is playing a homeschool team today here in NKY. It’s working!!!!
Weather permitting.
Awesome!
Great Frank. My golden doodle hates mud and holes, prefers a couch. Nature. I suppose.

@@StonnieDennis it is a male dog unfortunately named fedor and I do not have a channel but perhaps I should.
Could you do a video showing the type of whistle you use and how you use it for off leash recall? Thanks!
Pretty spot, I haven't seen that background in your others videos
You haven’t watched enough videos!

Great tips. Sometimes we forget common sense!
Key w kids too 😊
Was curious on how you prepare for tornado warnings with dozens of dogs?
Stick !!! Why do we complicate things as people? Very nice 😊
Do you not use collars often because you don't need them? Or is there a training philosophy behind that decision?
