It all depends on what you are looking for. If u want money start with care home and if u want to be more knowledgeable on the Uk health system and career growth start with the NHS. I mostly tell people coming in new to the uk to start with the nhs and it adds a good record to ur portfolio, you can always move at anytime.

Personally, I have never regretted leaving the care home, I’m even being paid higher here than the care home, Overtime here is double salary, so no need to do agency. However, I was in her situation when I was in Chelmsford financially, but moving to Nottingham has been the best decision I’ve ever made here in the Uk, so I will say I think it’s just about finding the right trust and department ( I always tell people to join specialties that will give them enhanced rates as well) cos I’m currently doing a Bsc that is funded by them at Nottingham Trent university (those in the care homes are funding their own studies and their studies is even done online). Overall, I will say the NHS isn’t bad, you just need to find the right one, pray about your choices and be a reliable person as well.
From the many videos I’ve constantly watched, it’s so clear that there can never be a middle ground between the nhs, private facilities, and care homes. So everyone to make a final decision on their own.
I worked in the NHS for 7yrs as a HCA before going into nursing and I have valid argument that the NHS basic pay may not be brilliant but other add-ons plus the job security plus opportunities for growth are all factors that make it a job for life if you may. However, even as HCA you can earn 3k comfortably by doing bank shifts after your contract hour. I did earn 3k (salary+bank) as a HCA and again that's if you choose your employer diligently. London may pay you higher but the cost of living is definitely higher and sucks everything away while u get something good outside London and still save and live comfortably. It's all about being diligent and strategic. NHS surely is good for starting before going scouting. I have friends who are nurses and they do agency earning about 7k per month (approx 80k per year) easily. So everyone to his/her own. Depending on the hours you work, you could try and supplement your income either by working bank, or a few days a month in a care home via an agency. “Mobile nursing” jobs pay well and generally come with company cars / car allowance, but as a single parent, it doesn’t sound like that would be an option for you..
Can I send you an email
Hi Nanelle! Love your videos, you’re such a vibe!! Please could you do a video on agency nursing? Would love to see. Thank you 🙏
Sure will do … just wrote that down 🙏🏽

@@nkolechanda1212 usually you do it on your own
@@NanelleGriselda okay well understood..
Very helpful videos because one needs to be informed..
What agencies recruit senior carers from abroad and offer certificate of sponsorship?
@@nkolechanda1212please go and watch past vidoes.Nanelle have made lots of vidoes on that.

Wow , that was beautiful, we love getting more vibes

Thanks Nanelle and Tosin...🥰
Very Educative content more Grace sweetness 🙏💥
amazing content as usual... Nanelle I get this feeling that Nurses are mostly talked about.. how about other medical profession and their pay scale where do they fit in? Nursing is not for everyone and are there career prospects for others like Public health, pharmacology etc
Hi dear …. Will do 🙏🏽
📌
Thank you so much for this informative video... keep it up 😊
This was so inspiring.
Thanks so much guys♥️♥️🙏🏾🙏🏾
Hey love do you mind doing a video sharing nursing agencies you know about please
Hi dear there’s one already on the channel please watch this video th-cam.com/video/T4no9zMzWc4/w-d-xo.html
Thanks ❤️
Thank u Nanelle this reminded me of the time u brought Daniel,Justice,Susan and some other lady.Like the way Daniel insisted that NHS is oky may be his reasons were not finance based chei care home pays moreeeeeee.I pray God gives me a good care home when my time comes.Coz honestly I don't think anyone leaves there home country to earn Just a small penny, there is alot people sacrifice to move abroad especially comfort of being around your loved ones.I don't think some one sacrifices to just earn little,I don't think for sure.Thank u Nanelle for opening our eyes.
Hahahaaaaa thanks for watching
U making me feel like i want to do nursing
It's never too late dear
I love Tosin! and You🧡 please share her agency, just for research purposes i.e. what to look for in an agency/care home ? Why she loved hers/yours so much?

Tosin is so smart
Thanks for sharing. Love u guys 😍
Personally, I'd go for carehome coz i love money. They say different strokes for different folks right 🤔
Exactly!!!
This video has reminded me of Daniel, the guy who shifted from the carehome to the NHS 😂😂...Money aside,i think its truly all about preference
Exactly!!!! Personally I’ll go to NHS one day
@@NanelleGriseldaI support your goal. Its definately worth trying both sides in order to come up with a conclusion of what would work better.I hope to work for the NHS too
@@NanelleGriselda Are you in a care home currently? Plus was that your first place of employment in the UK?
You're doing a great job with the videos BTW.
I enjoy every aspect of your videos because it's genuine/ true talk. Thanks Tosin.God bless you Nanelle.

Nanelle,I really love your guests ooo...I've missed Adama too.lol. Do nurses in care homes get agency gigs as well? How often?
Oh yes it depends on you looking and joining an agency
What a good news girl
Awesome! Thank you for the information Nanelle.
Thanks for showing up 🙏🏽
@@NanelleGriselda You're welcome
You both are gorgeous and smart
Thanks hun ☺️
covid excacerbated the underestimation of healthcare workers and no wonder we are leaving
ICU nurse, the Netherlands
So does this mean nhs isn’t good…? And with nhs done overtime and bank shifts and weekends shifts and nights pay extra? I’m confused please
NHS is great dear!!! She’s only sharing her experience based on the pay difference
@@NanelleGriselda Alright thank you was kinda confused
@@NanelleGriselda Ask yourself that if you're comfortable with ur pay why will u do overtime, holidays and weekends when you're supposed to be resting? Lol
Is not easy at all. Doing a job is all about what you love, enjoy and relationship with colleagues
True dat . Thanks for a showing up
For some with kids coming in as a healthcare assistant which is better, NHS or Care home ?
Yeah, I'd like to find out as well
Thank you Nanelle, as always, great video
I think it all depends on the perspective from which you’re viewing your options. In all, nobody can truly tell you what to do. It depends on a lot of factors that culminate in CHOICE and what’s convenient for you.
@@tosinolagboye8590 True , but for someone there already you can give advice. It will help in decision making.
Rosin is always lit 🔥
Thank you very much for the information
its an inspirational video, it gives an insight
Thank you for this useful information.
You’re welcome dear
Thank you Nanelle ❤️❤️
Thanks for the information
It’s a calling to be a nurse .
Yay another great video ✔️ very informative
Notification gang😊😊😊
Thanks for showing up🙏🏽
But she knew all these before leaving the carehome to join the NHS so why complaining now. Honestly I ve been wondering why people do that all the time.
Thanks for encouragement
Hello Nanelle, there are so many experiences about the NHS.I just wanted to ask if these also includes doctors?would you say it's the same experience for doctors at the NHS?I honestly haven't seen a positive comment from most people at the NHS.Lol
For me, I’ve seen more comments and videos on nhs being good and better.
Will research on that
You both look lovely 😍
Thanks dear
Carehomes are not all that.So much stress, cqc and safeguarding always knocking?! Id rather keep my pin.
What are you doing so wrong that you have to be afraid of CQC ? Have you met the wolves we work with in the NHS? They’ll literally throw you under the bus if they don’t like you. Oh and CQC is always knocking too.
Thanks Nanelle
job security is not an issue in the UK, there are alot of jobs or care assistants, so i can stay in the NHS with low pay
I think it just depends on a person
Will you be able to further your education being the the nursing care home?
Oh yes !
First to view and comment, I made in life mama, 😂learning a lot
Hahahaaaaa thanks for showing up 🙏🏽
Thanks Nannelle this is really a good insight 🧐
I just love her
Hello, please, I would like to ask if Nigerians can still apply for care assistant jobs in the UK. A friend in the UK discouraged me and said Nigerians are no longer being accepted.
You can apply for the jobs from Dubai but not sure about the visa though
Thank you for your response. I appreciate
Does this mean it's true that Nigerians can't apply for this tier 2 visa?
Sorry, when you say apply from Dubai; do you mean one should be living in Dubai before application
Work in more cosmopolitan areas in the UK, such as London, as there can b some r*"':;!? in more southern areas...sad but true...
🙏☮️🫂☯️✝️
Thanks for the enlightenment
Haahahhahaa Tosin my goodness you miss your roots . I think you should go for what you love sis and you will be very happy you did.
Nanelle , this is great . Keep giving us such amazing contents.
Hey Nanelle, can someone work in a care home as he or she is doing a top up degree in Nursing from a diploma?
Or it's strictly a hospital???
Normally, your training would include placements which will be organised by the university that's for undergraduate but not sure if it's the same with the top up. However l think if you have to make a choice, go to the hospital for your training as the care you would provide plus the experience cannot be compared with the care home. I hope this helps
