Maybe it’s a legal remit thing. Ock would be *four* wire armatures, whereas Scorpion and Lizard are one each. I’m just grateful I’ve got spare bendy tentacles from older figure releases and maybe one day Hasbro can do something similar.
Silk was always a figure I wanted but kept on missing. I ended up getting her on ebay and she is awesome. The Doc Oc skulpt is great but I already have him.

To be honest, I don't have a Silk figure because I never new she existed in the Spider-verse, But she does look beautiful and badass while being an Amazon exclusive sucks and so does the $60.99 $64.99 price, I still might get this 2 pack, We well see, Fantastic review on this 2 pack Shartimus.
I mentioned that in the interview where I asked and they said it was because the diameter on the Scorpion tail was thicker. At the time I didn’t think about the diameter of the Mr. Fantastic arms. I’ll make sure to address it to the Hasbro team some time.

Then they mark the figures up at least 50% for retail (the industries standard for retail). Just like it used to cost $20 to make Jordans in the 90s and then Nike sold them $100-$200 in the states.
I’m pretty happy and excited with this 2 pack. It’s kinda hard getting your hands on the other doc ock for a decent price. This 2 pack is pretty much what you’d pay for one old doc. I definitely agree with you about the tentacles and how they should be more articulable. Great review as always
I missed out on the Doc Ock when he first came out so possibility of getting him now was like perfect opportunity to fill the empty space in my Spidey display. Silk is nice addition too and the shriek body mold plus both heads makes it worth it for me. Cannot wait when they arrive and thanks for the review!
Thanks for pointing out the lower torso of Silk is the same as the old mold! No one else has noted that yet, and your side-by-side comparison with Shriek highlights it. It's not very noticeable in anything but a straight up standing pose, but the old torso mold makes her body look weirdly long compared to her limbs. They definitely should've just reused the Shriek mold completely, it would've looked much better.
What's funny is that I only wanted this for the silk figure cause I didn't have one. But while waiting for this to release I purchased the other two versions as well so now I have all three
I'll have to see if I can find that Silk loose. I have the original Silk but I missed the Fan one, so that's the best way I can get that costume, plus those extra hands and gorgeous heads.

I way prefer the rouge chest over the shriek chest I get that the shriek chest matches oldschool comic art but it’s physically impossible for fabric to grip like that just look at cosplay of these characters it’s not possible
I'm passing I would rather wait for a deluxe doc ock with better tentacles or a well executed version from a competitive 1:12 scale company. I loved your criticism and suggestions for the tentacle cuts

I already own the fan’s choice Silk and no Doc Ock but I bought this set. The new body and head of Silk are great (also I wouldn’t call it re-paint if it’s on slight new body). This isn’t my ideal Doctor Octopus, but since I don’t have one and not willing to pay double/triple retail I say this is a good buy for me. I’m still waiting for Hasbro to release my ideal Doc Ock from the Spider-Man TAS version with the slimmer body and body armor. Hopefully we get the Spider-Man with the Doc Ock mechanical arms on the waist and goggle once that TAS Dr Ock is release. And I’m still praying for Silk’s first costume made from her silk threads out of her finger tips.

This 2 pack is perfect because you can get 2 figures unobtainable before if you didn't bought them right away Either you are new to collecting, or just want a Doc Ock figure, this rerelease is awesome!!! I don't have a Doc Ock, neither a Silk, so this is a definetly GoGo for me, but even if I did, I wouldn't buy it, but I wouldn't complain about it either since NOT EVERYONE IS A COLLECTOR
Yeah that's true, his complaints are mainly from the perspective of a collector who owns the originals. This is a good way for people to get these figures when they originally missed out. But this should not be this expensive for just repaints, this should be like $35 at most, not almost 60
Easy pass for me but this is a good move for Hasbro. Instead of re releasing a figure people have with a new one people want this is two people might have, so it’s a chance to get something they could have missed. Not the usual for them so hope they keep this up.

I like the brighter colours on the new Doc Ock. The hand and head options look great too. The more silvery blue tentacles could be his adamantium ones. Silk is a definite upgrade. I hadn't really thought about the chest logo being a reason for her having a different torso. Makes sense. I have the original ock so I'll pass on this. Fingers crossed they re-release this Silk singly.

You have to realize lots of new collectors are in the same predicament and would rather buy the new thing with slight tweaks than drop triple on the price from an online seller for something that came out years ago that can’t be found on the market at stock price anymore and Hasbro knows this which is why they would rather recycle molds and save money than constantly spend on new ones just because their longtime collectors asked them too.

Silk was definitely the selling point of this set for me but I didn't have a Doc Ock so overall I'm satisfied.
I came for the Dr Ock (because I missed the OG release) but fell in love with the Silk figure.

Fun fact, from 2020 to 2021, Hasbro increased their profits by 17.47% ... so then raising the price is completely unjustified
