43:20 Actually, this battle was hyped this season. Barry had to use one of his old suits, and when he asked something about it (size or weird smell, something like that), Nora said it was the suit he used against King Shark, and said "I know you guys think King Shark is a bad guy, but when he fights Grodd", and then they stop her. Cisco even says "spoiler alert".
I would love the crew of Blind Wave to one day visit Japan, but for now (Cause a trip for 5 or more gets expensive) I will settle for some clever editing. Maybe Eric can send a shot of him behind a green screen slapping air so Akasan can edit his apartment in chroma key.
Either: 1) Cicada would reverse the mutation, as he's been shown to do so for metas with smaller mutations. Or: 2) Cicada's dagger no longer affects King Shark, as the side effect of reversing the meta-cure making him a meta permanently still applies.
Its an interesting question though. While i personally don't think he will fight Cicada. Iris is gonna do it, since the ''Build-up'' is alredy there. However, i can see this being some kinda of set-up for the King to participate on the hero side during the Crisis on Infinite earths.
I kinda wish the fight wasn't shown at the beginning because then I wouldn't have know King Shark would go back to being King Shark but whatever I guess 🤷♂️ the episode was still very good and the fight was good too. It looked half and half to me. It was both very good looking and very realistic in some shots and then in others it looked like a PS3/PS4 game
Just a thing to remember, Barry wasn't on board with the consent thing from the start, he said the whole consent thing might not be the right way to go about it and in the "previously on" he said he had to be less precious about getting his hands dirty. There is a good chance he would have been ejected king shark even if he hadn't attacked Cisco.
"Is that what you think a hero does? Forces other people to do what you want them to do?" Isn't that what heroes always do when stopping the bad guy? I don't think Reverse Flash or The Thinker consented to having their plans thwarted.
Love the episode/fight, but next time I hope Barry just lets King Shark eat Cisco, this was one of the worst arguments I've ever seen in any tv show. P.S. Joe is Back!!!
I just realized the significance of KS saying “King Shark wants you GONE!!!” because back when we was a villain and serving Zoom, he kept telling Flash, “Zoom wants you DEAD!!!” Now that he’s a hero and is his own person, HE only wants Grodd GONE…
Damn ..I was almost about to go to sleep ..been waiting for your guys reaction to this!! I thought this was an OK episode . The main plot was kinda fun , the fight between Grodd and King Shark was short but pretty sweet!! . However , I didn’t feel the romance subplot with him and Tanya , he seemed like a good dude but we never saw their relationship grow for us to care . I also wasn’t a big fan of the argument between Barry and Cisco/Caitlin , I can understand asking Shay’s permission the first time if he really wanted the cure or not but asking it again when they went to confront him was dumb ..Barry did the right thing and I was completely on his side of the argument after that . I also somewhat enjoyed the Iris stuff mainly because I’m glad Jesse L Martins back and Joe showing again why he’s a great dad.
You misunderstand, they never talked about asking the King for permission when Cisco was in trouble, Barry just said that to defend his argument. My biggest gripe with Barry's decision was he already made up his mind despite what the team thought and sort of lied to them. If you remember correctly, one reasons why Caitlyn and Cisco agreed on the consent thing was they predicted that one of the team leaders (Barry or Iris) would do something like this and sure enough. I don't necessarily disagree with his decision I just don't like that he gave the illusion that this was a "democracy"
@Mark Guerrero Yeah, i believe the majority of the season is set to air before the crossover. I dont know if they will any episodes after, but if they do i think its just 1 episode, which would be used to show where everyone goes
@@chandler4880 I think it'll end with the crossover so they can end on his death. But you could be right and they might have 1 final episode with all the other arrow characters dealing with his death and legacy to end the show
Different villains, different motivations. If anything Cicada will take the cure and start forcibly using it on people, and murdering those who refuse.
For me, while I thought the episode was good overall the “consent for the cure” argument Cisco, Cait and Barry had stood out for all the wrong reasons and it actually angered me. I get they wanna give other people a choice but in the heat of the moment at that time Barry had to make a decision and he made it, so Cisco needs to fall back on the moral high ground there, especially since he was a hop, skip and a jump away from being bitten in half. There are so many other scenarios where they could've chewed him out for that decision and it would've been better, but in the context of this it seemed really unnecessary. And I guarantee if that had been Iris or Nora (who just stood there) he wouldn’t have hesitated, even less so than he already did. Also, there is NOTHING on screen to suggest that a serial mass murderer such as Cicada will willingly take that cure, especially when a few episodes before they were all onboard for using it on him, whether he wanted it or not.
I agree with Eric. Thought Cisco and Cait were massively unreasonable. I don't blame them of course. I blame the writers for being so poor this season.
