- Pat Kenny (aka The Plank, aka El Douche, aka Prat Kenny, aka Bollocksface) calls up woman who turns down free tickets to the Late Late Show Toy Show. Pat gets so angry he tears up the tickets in an uncontrollable fit of rage. Poor Charlie Bird is caught in the middle. Pat proves what a loose cannon he is and how RTE is an amateur hour joke of a broadcaster.

I don't see the problem with this. The woman was very polite at all times. She said thank you several times, and even suggested he raffle them. She entered the draw for the €10,000. Nothing wrong with that. Pat should have been more professional rather than ripping up the tickets and being smart with her.

Kenny is some lemon. They make plenty of money from those competitions, the winner should not have to take an embarrassing phone call from some overpaid rte plank and gush gratitude. Just send her the fucking prize and let her do as she chooses with it.
Pity they couldn't tear up his contract in front of the nation - that would have been something a lot of Irish people would have enjoyed watching.
A. The tickets he ripped up were dummy tickets. The real ones were still used.
B. If Gay Bryne did it, everyone would of laughed because they would accept Gay Bryne being ackward but no one else at RTE.
C. Those that slam Pat Kenny, want things like this to happen on air because they then have excuses to attack him and RTE. Not like they need excuses. It's pretty pathetic.

The prize simply didnt appeal to her and thats normal enough, she entered the competition for a challenge, Pat cant accept people not being in awe of his prize, the offer to raffle them by the woman was made and she deserved her prizemoney
it's not his prize, it's rtes. Same as the lottery, if you won and ring them up the person on the phone isn't in charge.

To be honest I'd have little interest in going to the toyshow. I am 37 so why would I want to? I heard they give away lots of free stuff to the audience. I'd have taken the tickets though and gave them to kids I know. I don't get why she didn't do that.
There are parts to this.. A woman winning 10k and tickets she had no interested in. OK.. And then Pat thinking his show should finish with extreme happiness of someone he knows nothing about. Delightful TV.

Just to clarify. I did not actually suggest he would WANT to be on Mainstream UK TV. I was simply saying that that is why I have never heard of him and probably never will see him on TV.
In my opinion he came across as a very arrogant man who didn't even bother to listen to the lady on the phone. He threw a tantrum instead.
