- Join us and @southtexasfishingfam3436 for a great day of great fishing action. The Slot sized Black Drum are stacked and ready to bite Fishbites and fresh dead Shrimp. We had to work for these fish waiting for a good tide movement to trigger the drum to start feeding. But once they started they were ferocious, baits didn't stay long in the water.

Thank you for the kind words. When you come in to Corpus you will then want to get on TX-358 going east towards Flour Bluff, when you pass the JFK Causeway and get on the island on Park Rd. 22 you want to make a left at the light on to TX-361(going from Corpus to Port Aransas) and it will be right over the little bridge you cross half a mile from the turn.

Thank you! Idk... I heard that east coast of Florida gets intense with the mullet run. I prefer Redfish. In my opinion Redfish > Flounder > Pompano > Black Drum > Trout.

Little drum on huge rod reel and he’s putting it in low gear 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve caught plenty of 30-40 drum on a 7’ Allstar and 3000 series Sedona with 12 lb test 🤣🤣🤣

It's an old American Rodsmith we got from Academy over 10 years ago. A great 2 piece rod, thatd the rod that Ruben throws his lures with at the jetties on the Penn International 975LD. If I ever find another one I would buy it. Thank you we appreciate it!

We were using 4/0 and it was a very strong incoming tide.
What day was this filmed? I went a couple days ago at that spot and didn’t catch nothing, y’all might have caught all the fish😅
2 weeks ago on a Saturday or Sunday. From what I heard, the bite has been off and on. It will be good 1 day then nothing for the next day or 2.
