This is the top selling car in its segment (sub compact crossover / suv) in Europe, ever since it was released in Europe in 2013. It's the only car in its segment in Europe that has sold more than 200 000 last year. They are very popular in Europe, they are everywhere over there, when I was there, they looked to be more popular than the toyota Camry, which is one of the most popular cars in Australia. I am from Australia and the base model of the Captur is 23000 dollars around 70000 ringgit. But nobody buys it here. The hrv, asx and cx3 are the most popular sub compact suvs here. I think this car probably best suits the European market but it's a very nice looking funky car and everytime I see it in Australia, it really stands out.
It's nice and funky. We also cannot deny the brand perception of Europeans towards Renault is probably the same as Australians towards Mazda or South East Asians towards Honda and Toyota.
The attraction of this car, 1. The exterior to be different than the mass crowd. 2. Removable seats for easy cleaning/wash. 3 dual tray rear boot with dual surface, one rubberized the other fabric. Well I learn something new here, front isofix.
I cant help but to laugh when kon made that face when u understeered into that corner.
The exterior design aside the turbo lag is a genuine safety concern.
Reviews are better with Kon!
how i wish everytime kon is with me or beng or kamfoo .... but unfortunately it can only happen when we have the chance .... most of the time all of us are busy with our own thing ...

Sorry to say.. Try not to speed in housing area.. It's not safe.. Many ppls share on videos how accident happened when got kids or old folks suddenly show up in front of the car..
Hi Bobby. I need to buy a new car soon but I can't decide whether I need a SUV or not. I'm fall in love with the design of the Renault Koleos and rareness of it. But do I really need a SUV? Because I love and enjoy driving as well. With the money, I can buy a Volkswagen Passat or a Kia Optima GT, you've given a really high marks for these car. So I'm seeking your advice.
Buy the car you love! If you don't go for weekend drives with driving groups, an SUV with good handling like the Koleos fits your everyday life better in every single way than a sedan. :)
Yup. Both the lower spec HRV doesn't comes with 6 airbags.
I am a owner of the 2018 Renault Captur Facelift for 4 months ... the dual clutch transmission is a bit annoying, especially commuting in traffic jam every single day, but I have to say Eco Mode reduces the engine power output which also reduces the sound and jerkiness from the transmission, and also saves fuel (no shit).
Just slightly disappointed on the build quality coming from Tan Chong Motors, some plastic/rubber interior started to turned white, and the cheap and thin exterior chrome parts (front/rear Renault logo, side trimmings) are easily stained.
And the Renault service center in Kuala Lumpur is shared with Tan Chong Nissan, so I don't personally feel anything personalized as what Kon said (probably referring to PJ or Glenmarie service centers).
Afterall this car is a fun car to drive, especially on high speed.
Suspension is really not joking, bubble tea didn't spilled a lot even driving thru roads with many potholes.
I don't think there's a SC in PJ, only the showroom. The only Renault branded SC if I recall correctly is the Glenmarie SC. But actually I prefer servicing at the shared Nissan/Renault SC than the Glenmarie SC to be honest.

Joseph Ling hows peugeot’s reliability tho. Not too worried abt renault as i read they share parts w nissan and have a strong support network. Pugs the same?

Brilliant! Yes would love to! I drove the Clio and the handling of that car is so good, only let down by the drive train again. I'm sure the Clio RS would be awesome! Would you be ok to PM us in our Facebook page then maybe Kon can hook up a good timing for us?
