Now I am confused, the video goes on to say 24 dc for row 4, the written you mention it should be 23 and is written as so. But in the video and the written all further stitches, for example when you begin to decrease, you say double crochet two to together then in the next 20 do dc individually or and then two together, and for every decrease row the number of singles is equivalent to if you put 24 vs 23. Very confusing, while it is a matter of one stich a new crocheter is likely to get very confused about it especially in the written pattern.

No polish/neutral is so much better videos with colors. Keeps focus on the crochet and not on the nails... did they do their own manicure or a professional, why that color, i should do my nails, or should i pay someone for a manicure....

I went directly to the written pattern since I didn't need the tutorial. In the written pattern, row 4, you say to dc in the next 23 stitches with 12 unworked. In the video, you say 24. It should be 24 dc with 10 unworked. I had to rip out since the count didn't come out correctly. Also, in the video you direct us to use slip stitches around the outside. The written pattern says single crochet, I don't think it matters does it; whatever your preference? Or does it effect the elasticity? If so, which would be correct. Thanks
ok I rewatched it, I see the problem, I wrote the pattern to say 11 is unworked, but the video I say 24, so that would leave 10 unworked, I dont think one little off stitch will make a difference in the size around the waist, I think I should of said 23 instead of 24, but its too late, so I make a note in my blog about it. thanks for catching the error.
I only have the one pattern for this baby cover, but you can try to adjust it with a different hook size, I just cant promise that it will work or not, sorry
You could go up a hook size or two and look up the dimensions for a diaper cover and go from there but I don’t have an exact pattern for older me, sorry

in the first row of decrease should i be doing a decrease in the beginning then 22 dbl crochets then another decrease ? because you say to do 20 dbl crochets then im still left with 2 exra stiches and i have been following the count very accurately
Well you have 24 Double crochet from ch 2, plus the 23, then you do 2dctog that takes care of two stitches then work 20 dc then do 2dctog decrease and that takes of the the last two, hope that helps
You are doing a c2 and a dc on one side whis is throwing the count off. If you skip the the first stitch, on row 8, as you show, then to a DVD you can not do dc in 20 and then have 2 left to to the dcdc.. I have done this 3 times and it is not even.
I can’t say for sure but you can try that and then take measuring tape and see if it matches the correct waist for that size, you can do a google search on how big a waist should be for that size baby

The 46dc is 46 dc, ch 2 is not included in the count from what I can remember

I am interested in making the Crochet Baseball Hat and Diaper, are there directions for the 3-6 month.
I dont have that size made up, but you could try go up a hook size or two and see how that works, look up the dimensions on google and measure it.
