For anyone that's confused about the name, her real name is spelt "Maori". Ikoma squad nicknamed her "Mario" cause both names are very similar. They call her "Super Maori Bros" sometimes too

I mean it's literally them switching the "ri" and the "o" characters in her name. I don't know how common it is irl but in anime it is kinda common to have nickname in that style.

Always a riot to watch Ikoma squad "prepare" for matches.
So here is a little neat-o detail:
Ikoma Squad is known for making-up strategies on the fly and generally going with the flow of the match instead of using pre-determined strategies. This is why Ikoma talks about girls, food and other seemingly unimportant stuff during pre-match strategy meetings
Also Mizukami is a chess master, and ties things together while the attackers go wild.

@@fathergirth Actually, Mai Kitagawa isn´t the operator for Kako squad. She is apparently classified as a "trapper". The operator for Kako squad is a girl named An Kobayakawa.
I love how every team is making plans for the fight while Ikoma is just enjoining its time XD.
I wonder how good the squad would be if they were planning seriously before a match.
@@NotChaix Well, Mizukami's a 200 IQ genius so if he became the leader, this team would go places.
@@damiester1 I don't think that would change much. These guys are together in a squad like this because they can all act like this. Even if he became leader, he wouldn't be able to make the others listen to him and follow his strategies, and the squad would likely dispand if he tried to make everyone take it seriously. Plus Ikoma is by no means a bad leader or an idiot. He gives quick and precisive orders during matches that everyone can easily get and follow, and he is one of the absolute most diligent people in border when it comes to studying his opponents beforehand. He just doesn't come up with a super elaborate plan or tries to make his teammates follow if they don't want to, but he still makes his own fighting plan for each opponent and directs the others how best to move in accordance with that, so as to best allow them the freedom to fight how they want to fight.
Although it is true that Ikoma squad could be even more of a powerhouse if they really went in and planned. Even as they are now, they were ranked third in B-rank before our tamakoma-2 came along, which is absolutely ABSURD for a team that doesn't do any planning or strategizing, which speaks miles of their skills. Honestly, if Kai didn't seem to mess up and give away points every match, they could probably have been reliably sitting on a solid second place in the rankings.

It’s moments like these where I can appreciate a show with lots of characters but doesn’t make them feel stale or copies of each other.

Also, for whoever may care, they're all implied to be from the Kansai Region of Japan (except maybe for Kai, who doesn't have the regional accent). In the anime, they went the extra length to cast people actually from that region to voice all of them. XD
Additionally, Ikoma has the same VA as Diavolo from JoJo, Maori/Mario's is Jahy and Uzaki (also Chieri from Idolmaster), and Kai's is Asta from Black Clover (also Pierre from Idolmaster)
One correction: Kai's VA is Asta in an OVA, not in the TV series

GUYS i have a question, since jin gave away his black trigger did he lose his side effect too? (forsight or predicting the future) I just want to know if he lost the power of predicting the future since he doesnt have his black trigger or if he still has it. SPOILERS BELOW IF YOU DIDNT WATCH THE SHOW
I also know that the lastest fight in world trigger (season 2 ep 1-10 when they have action about those guys, you know what i mean if you watched it) jin predicted everything but how can he still predict if he doesnt have his black trigger. For ex: if yuma lost his black trigger would he not be able to use his side effect of detecting lie or would he still have it if he gives away his black trigger or loses it.
So summarizing what im trying to say is IF you lose your black trigger do you also lose your side effect or do you keep it ?
I’m pretty sure they still keep their side effect because side effects come from high trion levels (Ex. Chika isn’t a black trigger user but she still has the side effect of being able to sense attacks from neighbors)
I don’t think losing a black trigger affects it in any way
side effects aren't linked to triggers. They come due to trion levels(high or even abnormal levels). Triggers CAN be enhanced by side effects(fujin and jin's side effect work so well that it makes sense that he's the best fujin user).

I literally re-watched the first season until I hit the filler arc, I'm unsure about watching it again. I don't want to run out of episodes to watch

is this anime good ive been wondering if i should watch it cause the plot seems to be good
Season 1 was made in a time where Toei didn’t put as much effort as they do now into anime, plus the fact that it didn’t have as much source material when it was announced, so pacing is a tad slow and animation isn’t solid at some parts, but I absolutely recommend it as the plot is still good. (Just skip the filler episodes which are 49-63 I believe. 48 is filler too but it’s seen as the only filler episode that is watchable by most). The clip in this vid is from season 2 which has VASTLY improved everything that season 1 had going wrong for it. So def give it a try
